They gave me so many tips and idea on how to avoid stalling out again. There were 2 at home prenatal visits, on-call support leading up to the birth, support during the birth, and a perinatal appointment after the birth. I ended up having an amazing home birth experience and Amanda provided so much support for me during the pushing stage. Having her there to hold my hands, guide me through breathing, and hold my hand afterwards for stitching was just what I needed. I would highly recommend Elevated Birth if you're interested in a doula for your birth. I've read that women who birth with a doula statistically transfer to hospitals less and also require less epidurals. It was definitely worth the investment to help achieve the birth I had longed for. Thank you, ladies!!

I live 40 min away and when I get a call the evening before an appt they have to move my appointment, it's very hard to move it due to my schedule. The excuse everytime was that they "double booked" the provider. It's not hard to not double book one provider, and when i asked the question (the 3rd time my appts got rescheduled) "why does the other patient's appointment take presidents over mine every time and I'm the one always getting rescheduled" and of course they had no answer except they double booked the provider. When they called me to tell me my 4th appt there was moved from 8am to 11:30 that was the last straw, I can't just move my appt 3 1/2 hours later when I myself have a full schedule. So here I am 18 weeks pregnant and looking for an OBGYN who will take my time just as serious as they take their own. I'm never late for my appts, and I understand this issue happening a time or even 2 times. But I'm 4 for 4 on appointments and fed up.

He knows what he's doing and he does his job amazingly. He's a great person and a great doctor. I don't trust easily, but not only do I trust him I also have the upmost respect for him. He's such a great doctor that even my mom became a patient of his after my oldest was born. I can't say enough great things about him. If you want a great doctor who knows his field, who you feel relaxed and comfortable with, who can absolutely trust your health with and that if your child's, then Glen is the the doctor you need. His staff is also amazing! I've not lived in Idaho for many years now so I'm not sure who is still with him as staff. However, when I was there every single person on his staff was also kind and compassionate and friendly. There's nothing I can say that isn't good about him and his staff. Thank you Glen for helping me bring two of my three into this world. Even with the couple of scary moments on my end. You helped get me through it and got them here and they were born healthy and safe. Now they're all grown and married and getting ready to start their families. It is easy in today's birth world to feel like childbirth is being done to you rather than feeling like an active participant, but at Hillside midwifery everything is explained to you clearly and openly and you decide what's best for you every step of the way. I just delivered my 4th baby with Hillside and had the most wonderful experience. When giving advice to first time moms picking a midwife I always say pick someone you feel like you'd be friends with because you're going to spend so much time together. Well Katie became more than a friend she became like family. That 6 week appointment after you give birth will be the hardest because you have to say goodbye to someone that you've grown to adore. I seriously cannot recommend Hillside enough. They will make you feel loved and cherished and like a birthing goddess.

We met with Dr Slater and she was pretty cut to the chase but great. She was honest and upfront from the begging. We proceeded forward and we haven't conceived yet. But we I know it will happen. We have loved everyone here. When I come in, I am recognized instantly. Everyone here is super personable and sweet. We bring my almost 2 year old with to most appointments and they are so good about her being with me. I am excited to conceive but will be sad when we switch from ICRM to our general Ob office. I went in for some labs & didn't realize until I finally got my bill from Blue Cross how many labs were run. Weird labs never heard of. This was supposed to be a Wellness visit.. nope run as a diagnostic. I decided to go somewhere else before the physical because I was tired of spending so much money & still didn't know what was wrong with me. They wouldn't give me my lab results!!! Finally asked the lab themselves & got the results. Went to a St. Al's practice ( who btw gave me my results, didn't charge me through the roof & gave me a physical within a month). East To West finally did share my lab results, but 6 months later ! The only saving grace .. in my opinion is Becca . The coding, practice.. everything is just shady.

My experience with Dr. West and his staff has been excellent. I had a baby a month ago, and it couldn't have been better. Kristi is so cheerful and friendly that you can't help but love her. Dr. West has a very relaxed demeanor, which I particularly like. He makes you feel more like a friend than a patient and won't make you worry about little things like some doctors do. He was very comforting before and during my c-section, as they can be a little nerve-wracking. My recovery was great, everything went smoothly and my scar is hardly noticeable. I've recommended Dr. West ("West the Best" as the hospital nurses referred to him) to all of my friends, and wish I had a reason to see him more than once a year because I enjoy him and his staff.
