I saw Kristi Rhodes and she was actually great, however the scheduling is awful. I had 4 appointments and EVERY SINGLE ONE was rescheduled. I live 40 min away and when I get a call the evening before an appt they have to move my appointment, it's very hard to move it due to my schedule. The excuse everytime was that they "double booked" the provider. It's not hard to not double book one provider, and when i asked the question (the 3rd time my appts got rescheduled) "why does the other patient's appointment take presidents over mine every time and I'm the one always getting rescheduled" and of course they had no answer except they double booked the provider. When they called me to tell me my 4th appt there was moved from 8am to 11:30 that was the last straw, I can't just move my appt 3 1/2 hours later when I myself have a full schedule. So here I am 18 weeks pregnant and looking for an OBGYN who will take my time just as serious as they take their own. I'm never late for my appts, and I understand this issue happening a time or even 2 times. But I'm 4 for 4 on appointments and fed up. read more

Glen is amazing!! He delivered my oldest and my youngest. My middle one was born in California. He is kind, respectful, funny, always has a smile. He knows what he's doing and he does his job amazingly. He's a great person and a great doctor. I don't trust easily, but not only do I trust him I also have the upmost respect for him. He's such a great doctor that even my mom became a patient of his after my oldest was born. I can't say enough great things about him. If you want a great doctor who knows his field, who you feel relaxed and comfortable with, who can absolutely trust your health with and that if your child's, then Glen is the the doctor you need. His staff is also amazing! I've not lived in Idaho for many years now so I'm not sure who is still with him as staff. However, when I was there every single person on his staff was also kind and compassionate and friendly. There's nothing I can say that isn't good about him and his staff. Thank you Glen for helping me bring two of my three into this world. Even with the couple of scary moments on my end. You helped get me through it and got them here and they were born healthy and safe. Now they're all grown and married and getting ready to start their families. The best OB/GYN office in town. They have the best bedside manners, they are caring and extremely experienced.

Love this office. Dr Lovelace is great and so is the NP Angela. The nurses and front staff are great too. Very friendly. Almost always on time. Only once I had to wait a little longer because Dr Lovelace had to go deliver a baby so I totally understood. My only criticism is when confirming an appointment for an ultrasound let clients know. I showed up without my husband bc I thought it was just another check up appt so I was a little bummed. read more

When I got an automated on a Saturday, telling me my appointment was with a different provider, and there was no way to leave a message, I should have know things would get worse. I left a message for there answering service and patiently wait for them to call me on Tuesday. On Monday I get a call again asking me to confirm my appointment with the wrong provider. (They took President's Day off.) So Tuesday rolls around and they still have yet to return my call for my appointment with the wrong provider on that day. I finally call them and was asked "So do you want to reschedule?" Um no. I am a high risk pregnancy and I have already been waiting over 3 weeks. The lady that answered the phone was beyond rude and just kept making excuses. I should have listened to the two different medical professionals who warned me about his staff and his manner of doing things. When a front office staff is that rude, it makes it clear to run and get a new provider. I can only imagine what the next few months would have been like. She did say that that is how they schedule people and that "I never would have had my first appointment with Dr. Lovelace." I said that was unacceptable to schedule people with a different provider without informing them. If I was Dr. L,ovelace I would do some serious investigating into how my front office is treating people. As Boise grows, the knowledge of their poor customer service will become more evident. read more

Idaho Stork is wonderful. Everyone who works there is kind, supportive, and professional. Scheduling and rescheduling is easy and I never had any issues with billing.  My and my husband's experience with our midwife Kristi was life changing. Our pregnancy had some issues around 20 weeks and after a lot of tests and specialists my husband and I decided to switch providers and that's when we found Kristi. From day one she was so kind and understanding. She made us feel comfortable and excited to be pregnant again, which was a big change from the stress and anxiety we felt before working with Kristi. She even set up a complementary ultrasound with Dr. Lovelace to check again that everything with our baby was ok (even though we had been cleared by the specialist) which really helped relieve some of our anxiety. She was always available when we needed her, and she helped us learn to advocate for ourselves. She is such an expert in her field and she was always willing to take time with us and provide us with resources for our own research. She is very passionate about physiological childbirth and works really hard to help her patients achieve the birth they want. For us that was an unmedicated Hypnobirth. Kristi helped us achieve an amazing unmedicated, physiological birth in a hospital. I even had to be induced with Cytotec but Kristi was so confident and secure that I would be able to give birth without pain medications (using hypnobirthing) that it helped me to be confident and actually achieve that goal. When it came time to deliver, Kristi (and her partner Megan who eventually joined us to assist) spent so much time helping me slowly stretch and working with my body that I was able to birth pain-free and without tearing. That's right - no tearing! I was able to walk and bend down and use the bathroom the next day without any issues or pain. I know that with another care provider I could have birthed more quickly but definitely would have torn-- badly. I'm so grateful to Kristi and Megan for keeping my perineum intact and for being so incredibly patient and supportive in helping me achieve a birth I loved and can remember fondly. It's an experience every woman deserves. Because the birth went so well I was also able to breastfeed easily and my recovery was smooth and quick. I owe so much of that to Kristi and Megan because they were patient enough to let my body birth my baby naturally and slowly.  After the birth Kristi was just as available and supportive. She came to check in on us twice the next day and offered multiple times to be available if needed, including for home visits. We ended up seeing her 5 days postpartum for a breastfeeding check in and she was available for us as soon as we reached out. Her breastfeeding tips were also awesome and gave me just the extra little confidence boost I needed to set off on a positive and successful breastfeeding journey. My husband and I feel so fortunate that we found Kristi. She's a truly amazing person and I would highly recommend her and Idaho Stork to anyone. read more

I did a lot of research when I moved back to Boise from Seattle at the beginning of my second trimester. Hoping for a VBAC, I contacted Idaho stork because their c-section rates were extremely low. Once I met Megan Kitterman, one of two midwives on staff, I was sold. After a rough first birth experience, I needed someone who could keep me calm. Megan exudes confidence. She makes you feel like you could birth any baby with her by your side. She cares so much about her patients and each one having a beautiful positive experience. Every appointment she made me laugh and helped me feel so much less anxious--not an easy task with a super emotional pregnant lady. As for our birth? She was my rock. As hard as it was, she made it so much easier because she made me feel so confident I could VBAC. I felt so supported and cared for and like my birth plan and wishes were the priority. I don't think I would have had such a beautiful experience without her, and I will be delivering all of my future kids with her by my side. I highly recommend her to any moms, and especially to women seeking vbacs. read more

My first pregnancy I decided to just go with my obgyn that I've seen since forever. Little did I know there were better options out there. My labor and delivery ended up being FAR from ideal and this was almost 100% due to my provider treating me as a number and instead of a person. THEN my second pregnancy I asked around and Kristi Rhodes came highly recommended. I wanted a better labor experience and boy did I get that with Kristi & Dr. Lovelace. It was so refreshing how I was treated; so much care, respect and love. When I first heard "Midwife" I was slightly apprehensive because it brought to mind home birth, less medical care if there was an emergency, etc... but Kristi is the PERFECT balance of midwife with a bit more medical intervention if needed. Delivering in the hospital set me at ease, Kristi's knowledge and expertise was exactly what I needed & the coaching/motivation I received from Kristi during labor made ALL THE DIFFERENCE. She helped me have the natural & calm birth I missed out on with my first pregnancy. I learned there IS a better way to have the most positive experience bringing my little bundle of joy into the world. read more

After my first child was born, I decided to pay more attention to the obstetrician I went with for my second pregnancy. I came upon Dr. Lovelace and decided to try my luck with him. From the very beginning him and his staff have been nothing but wonderful. They quickly learned and remembered my name as well as my young son's name. Jaz is an absolute doll. Their office and rooms have always been clean and comfortable, my phone calls have always been promptly returned with answers to my questions, and although I have a nasty habit of being 15 minutes late everywhere, they've always accommodated me and gotten me in without making me feel bad for being late. It's an incredibly warm and loving environment for such a special experience. Dr. Lovelace handled my high risk pregnancy with personalized care and was very careful to pay close attention to every last detail and answer all my questions. My concerns always felt important to them. I could write a novel on how wonderful my experience has been with this awesome family of professionals, but all I can say is that if you decide to go with Dr. Lovelace, you will feel right at home with your new family. I can't thank them enough for such a beautiful pregnancy and birthing experience. read more

My husband and I moved to Boise 3 weeks before my due date and we were referred to Megan Kitterman by our doula. With every appointment my comfort level and confidence to deliver my baby naturally grew because of Megan's knowledge and care. My previous doctor started talking to me about having a c section around 30 weeks because my baby was "measuring big". When I went into labor two weeks late Megan was there every step of the way! She knew exactly what to do to keep my labor progressing. I moved between positions and finally my 10 lb 4 oz baby was born! Megan was so caring, patient, and focused. I honestly believe I would have ended up in a c section with the doctor I had before her. Please know that although my goal was a natural birth, Megan supports all women with whatever birth plan you have. Without a doubt this has been the best medical care I have ever received. I have so many problems because of how this man handled my delivery. He made poor medical choices on my behalf, even ignoring hours of my own desperate pleas for a C-section. Even in my ignorance I recognized the complications and no longer wanted a vaginal delivery. He however used pain relief as his leverage to force me to push when it came time. Hours later with high fever, heavy meconium, multiple late decels, severe swelling, instrumental assist, and severe trauma including a large blood clot ripping through my left levator, I delivered my baby. He then misrepresented the severity and extent of my injuries....for over a year. Told me it was normal and women just didn't talk about it....my problems were because I was nursing. He had failed to even recognize and repair a 3rd degree laceration. Took me a year and a half of painfully hobbling around trusting him before I went to a different physician who figured out what he had done to me. I have had to undergo surgery, pelvic floor injections, months and months of physical therapy still ongoing. 3 years later I still cannot run, jump, lift, or even walk for extended periods of time. I have nearly constant pain and much else that comes with pelvic floor dysfunction. It has been devistating to me. Run away. read more
