The best OB/GYN office in town. They have the best bedside manners, they are caring and extremely experienced.

“I owe so much of that to Kristi and Megan because they were patient enough to let my body birth my baby naturally and slowly.”

I was very happy with every doctor I saw here during my twin pregnancy and for general wellness…read moreexams. My first doctor went on maternity leave in the middle of my pregnancy, and I was mostly seen by Dr. Maybach. She even visited when my twins were born even though my original doctor delivered them. Naturally I chose her as my new OB when the first doctor retired. The silk robes were an amusing and preferable alternative to the glorified paper towels favored in my home state of Arizona, if a little va va voom - especially the leopard print and red options. I'd prefer something fluffier but hey, it's not a paper towel with a neck hole so I'm just nit picking at this point. Office staff is friendly. Billing is 'meh.' $8 service charge for a bill delayed for reasons outside my control even after the insurance company called to assure you it was being reprocessed? Not cool. That annoyance aside, the only downside is you have to deliver at Boise St. Luke's. Maybe things have changed in the past 4 or 5 years but the lactation consultant was useless and some of the nurses were breast feeding/maternal bonding saboteurs. I believe one was named Kathleen. Every mother I knew who dealt with her had similarly horrid experiences but maybe she finally retired. Great CNAs though. If you just need an OB/GYN, this is a great choice, especially Dr. Maybach. If you're pregnant or planning on having kids, you may need to research the hospital and decide if it's right for you. As for me, I can only hope to find an OB in Western New York that similarly avoids paper product couture.

But Lori Ruman was a nightmare. Front desk staff were rude. The mood in the Meridian office, especially, feels depressing. You couldn't pay me enough to ever return.
