Management gives you a voice and listens to your feedback. They also provide plenty of after-hours tutoring at no additional cost if you need help and can adjust or give additional projects to make sure you're challenged even if you're more advanced than the rest of the class. The course provides lots of hands-on training to solidify the new material. The resulting projects give you lots to talk about in interviews afterward. Lastly, they do fun activities to help you have a good time and make some lasting friends and connections. There was a couple weird/creepy looking old men in small swimsuits that were using some of the lanes in the biggest pool, that didn't make me feel comfortable as a mom. *there was a man who was either an owner or manager, he had long hair and he looked like a creepy guy as well, which sets off my mom radar (when you work around kids for a living, you should be very aware of the appearance you put off to parents), I will say he did kindly ask how our class was.. *this place is hot and humid as all heck inside where you sit to be close to your young kids, we only had a 30 minute class but it felt like forever and I was sweating everywhere but the time we left. Just not a good fit for us.

Management has changed, and the school today deserves to be evaluated on what it is now. The teachers are excellent. Many have advanced degrees, and we have been impressed by both the academic rigor and the individualized attention our children receive. Our kids are scoring very well on standardized tests, but academics here are not limited to worksheets and test preparation. There is a strong emphasis on hands-on learning, curiosity, and actually understanding the material. I also appreciate that the school recognizes that young children need movement. They have three recesses during the day, which initially sounded unusual to me, but now I think it is one of the school's strengths. The kids have opportunities to run, reset, and come back ready to learn. The four-day school week took some adjustment, but we came to appreciate the Fridays off, and our kids genuinely benefit from having that break. For families who need Friday childcare or activities, there are also many Friday programs available in the area. We came to Innovate from Challenger, where our children were doing extremely well academically. We did not leave because we were unhappy with their academic progress. What we found at Innovate, however, was something we value even more: strong academics combined with warmth, individualized education, and a real sense of community. You truly feel like part of a family here. Our kids love going to school and are excited to tell us about their day, which says a lot. The school is described as having "conservative values." She loves going to school and used to be sad on the weekends that there isn't school 7 days a week. Our youngest daughter has blossomed going to Innovate's preschool this year. She is so happy there and I can tell the staff truly value her and care for her. My birth plan did not go as planned (as they always say happens). Heather was there to help us through these obstacles every step of the way. I had complications post delivery and she comforted my husband and made the phone calls and held my baby during this emotional time while I was in the OR. She was so much more help than we could have even dreamed of. She is the full package. She even took our newborn photos when my daughter was two weeks old and we turned it into our Christmas card. We also took Heather's classes to prep us for L&D. She made us feel comfortable about everything. She even braided my hair when I was in labor, so sweet! We made her work over time! Poor Heather. She was with us for hours and hours for two days straight. She was very responsive and willing to do whatever we asked her to do. She was even helping coordinate keeping my placenta and the logistics of that. I even texted her the other day to ask about recommendations for my baby and she answered right away.
