I asked a couple questions about the menu and was immediately directed to the BLT by a woman in the kitchen. Wow I wasn't disappointed. It was sooooo good. The bread was toasted perfectly (so it didn't kill the roof of my mouth), the tomato's and lettuce were fresh, the bacon crispy, and that basil mayo. A life changing BLT if there is such a thing. A couple side notes I appreciate. Bittersweet's marketing team deserves. Ton of credit - they have some awesome swag available for purchase. Also, this is a Christian oriented cafe with bible verses, messaging, and music. Love it! And finally, check out the story about Bittersweet's roots, its commitment to addiction recovery/support, and the owner's son's story/passing. The same Iron Star that owns Coffee Tree shops. If this coffee is any indication, I think I need to visit Coffee Tree again. It's been a while. Anyway, I had a really good cup of coffee and a peanut butter and jelly cookie. No complaints on the cookie, but I wish they had some breakfast sweets like scones or cinnamon rolls. Next time I'll try some real food. Just be aware that things are a little pricey here.

I had to order a separate order of fries and put them on the salad myself no big deal.. but like most places in west Virginia they use the crinkle cut frozen trash fries from the local cheap store ridiculous. Oh, and don't forget that their drinks are not kept cold , paid $5 for 2 bottles of hot pop for a total of $23 .. Sorry it didn't work out between us , I gave you at least 30 chances because there's no other choices here.. which also explains how you stay in business. The establishment has kept the same charm it had when it was called the Daily Grind. It's still pretty much a fixture on Main Street. Parking is not easy. When we asked for a table, the host was not accommodating (and rather rude) and made it awkward with our table for five request, telling us that we should have called ahead because they don't like to put tables together. (The place wasn't even packed which made it even more strange.) It's cute inside- perfect for casual lunches / dinners and they have a decent bar.
