Regardless of what you want to call this iconic business, you really cannot go wrong. Dunkin' has grown considerably since Bill Rosenberg opened the first location in Quincy, Massachusetts back in 1950. The company has since expanded to somewhere around thirteen thousand locations in over forty countries. I would say that Dunkin' is best known for their donuts (though if you would like, you can spell it doughnuts) and coffee, though my go-to here is neither. My usual order at a Dunkin' is probably their bagels with cream cheese. While I would never say that Dunkin' has the best bagels with cream cheese (I grew up in New Jersey and I know great bagels), they are pretty good, especially when you consider that the bagels are coming from a global chain. I have often used Dunkin' (or if you prefer, Dunkin' Donuts) as a co-conspirator in bringing a culinary bribe of coffee and donuts to early morning meetings. There is nothing like some coffee and donuts to help inspire a bit more attention and maybe the wisp of a smile upon the tired faces of the various teams that I am meeting with. The ambiance is what you would expect from a Dunkin' (or if you prefer, Dunkin' Donuts). Whatever you choose to go with, you cannot go wrong with anything that you order at Dunkin'. Overall, I will give this location five stars and they definitely have my recommendation.

Its location is right on the corner of the road leading in and out of town so it gets pretty busy. They keep things moving efficiently, however. I came with my family for a quick breakfast before heading out on a Saturday morning. Around 8, there was a huge drive thru line but the wait inside wasn't long. Very clean seating area and restrooms. Service was friendly although they didn't hear one item of our order and we had to go back up and re-order. That happens... Even if you're on the other end of town, it's worth making the drive to this location and enjoy the bright and spacious interior, quick service and efficient location.

But the toppings completely make this not a doughnut or even a cravable dessert. And I love unique toppings on a doughnut. I ordered bacon maple and it was a gloopy mess of drizzled syrup on top of a powdered sugared fusion bun with a beige icing that wanted very much to taste like maple but was knocked out by the syrup or agave or whatever they poured on top. Real bacon pieces on top, yep. But it needed ten more pieces to combat the diabetes-level amount of sweet stuff. The only relief I got was from putting it down after the second bite to make sure it was really that overwhelmingly sweet. It was. I do not recommend the maple bacon You'll undo your GLP-1 situation for the week if you order this gloop. The second I chose was "local" (key lime). Much better at muting the sweet sugar gloop attack. The lime curd was cravable. And that's about all. We did not finish either one. AS SOON AS WE WALKED IN, we were demanded of our order. Like, we were not afforded a literal five seconds to be able to see the availability in the glass shelving. Sorry, dude, I did not sit in my car for the past 15 minutes looking at the online choices that may not even be available. C-H-I-L-L. Not my vibe. But to everyone else who is ok paying $4.00 per sugar bun...it's ALL yours!

So I've been told get here early or don't even bother and that's exactly what we did and I must say these are definitely some of the best donuts in the state as they are hot fresh and just classic but definitely with their own unique style. So the blueberry cake donut was definitely my favorite as it was super flavorful with blueberry donut goodness as well as a yummy icing on top to set the vibe to the donut goodness one could totally get again and again! The jelly donut was awesome like it's up there with one of the best ones I've ever had as the flavors were totally there and just a perfect doughnut from start to finish. So we are suckers for apple fritters and we totally had to get one to try and I must say while it was good it wasn't my favorite as these I'm very picky with as I love them flat and really crispy and not everyone does them this way so I can't knock them for their own style and besides it was definitely good for what it was just not the go to one for me! There straight up is only a window in the door a true hole in the wall where you pick what you want from the window with a nice lady helping us she was very quick to get the line down! If you plan on using a card to pay they to charge you a fee so just plan accordingly or bring cash to avoid it! Overall if you live in the area you should totally come here if your traveling takes you through Ocala you should come here and if your just looking for good donuts yes you should come here so get the grease sponge recipe ready for whoever comes next!

I was told that Tas-T-O's donuts was a must and they weren't wrong. This is an old-school donut joint doing it retro-style which is the best way! I made sure to be there right after opening at Saturday 6:15am and there were already cars pulling up. I was told get there super early or be shut out. I can see why, as these donuts are the real deal! Made fresh overnight and put on display shelves in the front window. You order from the front door window and also point to the ones you want and how many. I got a box of a dozen and it was less than $20, a variety of donuts, apple fritters, and glazed bow ties. Along with a tasty large cup of coffee for around $3. All I'll say is "WOW"!!!! The donuts are delicious, soft, moist, fluffy, and so fresh tasting. No wonder they sell out fast, as most days they are open 5 or 6am until noon, and many times they close early once they sell out. Closed on Monday and Tuesday. You can see the kitchen in full view with all it's equipment and racks through the windows. Oh, and the service is terrific. The girl working this overnight to morning shift making the donuts was very kind and nice to chat with. Even though she had to be tired she was cheerful with a smile as we discussed the business and answered my questions about the business and area. Fantastic donuts, variety, price, and customer service. So glad I made it over to this donut heaven.

They also offer doggy doughnuts for your fur friends. Their doughnuts are excellent, but taste is more like fried dough from the carnival. I love them but some people may prefer more cake-like doughnuts (dunkin style). The new savory doughnuts are also pretty tasty - I tried the Hawaiian BBQ chicken recently. I don't love ordering coffee drinks at Parlor. Often if you get something with Espresso, it get's stuck in a long queue because they only have one barista and espresso machine. Their drinks are also just average - nothing special. Most of the staff at Parlor are young and still learning, but friendly enough. If you dine in at the Fruit Cove location, be aware that seating can be limited inside. They do have additional seats outside when weather is nice.

We've been going to Parlor occasionally since they opened and they have a good product. It's not traditional like the maple bars or apple fritters I grew up eating, but they are fresh, and when cooked the right way are really pleasing - kind of light (relatively speaking, I mean, it IS a donut). Minus one star because sometimes they aren't cooked as well and can be a bit doughy in the middle. Those days I eat the edges which are still good. The minis are a great way to avoid this, also - and I especially like the coconut ones. Boston cream, maple, cinnamon churro, all the flavors are great and I love the less common ones too - haven't tried many but lavender honey is so good. Great coffee and service, too - check this place out!
