We know the rings were stored in a box inside a drawer before the cleaner arrived. After she left, they were gone. She was the only person who came to our home during that period. We have strong reasons to believe she took them. In addition the cleaner was highly unprofessional. She tried to leave 30 minutes before the end of the two-hour session we paid for. We had to insist she finishes the job. When we raised all of this with Housekeep, they did not want to take any responsibility. Huge emotional distress for us. This does not alter the service I received, but credit due to the customer services for trying to put it right, if a little late, and to the power of review services like these... I booked two cleaners for 3 1/2 hours to deep clean my mum's flat. I explained she was very elderly and the rooms were generally very clean but they needed cleaning in the corners behind cupboards et cetera. The cleaners arrived an hour early which was a big problem because I wasn't there and I'd planned to take my mum out before they got there so she wouldn't become distressed. Also, I wasn't there to instruct them and they began doing things which didn't need doing. They then tried to leave after only two hours despite me paying for 3 1/2. Even then they left early after three hours and when I came back, everything I'd ask them to do was still filthy. They've done some hoovering and some cleaning of areas which were already clean but had not even reached behind any of the furniture to clean the parts I'd specifically ask them to do. They refused to refund me even though they didn't do the full-time and definitely didn't provide the service I've asked for. I'm now in dispute using section 75 to get my money back.

Actually, we engaged "Local Cleaners London" but it was the FC crew who showed up, and now there is no posting of LCL on Yelp anymore! Anyway, the job they did was so poor - it was done in approx 3 hours on a Sunday. We pointed out a few things obviously so amiss when we inspected our property immediately upon completion - e.g. Sofa had cobwebs on the side, lampshade in toilet had not even been wiped down, carpet hardly cleaned, bathroom blinds not even wiped etc. Actually we were embarassed to be pointing so many things out to them...was this a "deep clean"? Upon complaining (with loads of photographic evidence) and discussing the matter with LCL customer service, the best we were told that could be done was a "re-clean" of specifics (not very useful since new tenants had already moved in by then and had already undertaken rework on their own!) or a raincheck for a carpet clean of just 1 of the bedrooms. I felt they should have refunded the fees but no option to do so. Made us realize this is a time-sensitive service and absolutely useless without any serious quality assurance. Frankly, if this is what should be expected from a "deep cleaning", next time I would rather have 3 hourly maids come in and do a 3 hour job - under 100£ instead of the £250 we spent!
