As I am a busy person and I don't have the time to do the cleaning on my own, I really need someone to do that for me. I decided to give those guys a try - I wasn't going to lose much. To be honest I had a lot of prejudices, but in the end I was really surprised. The girl that came to my house was really nice, she actually did the job quicker than I expected and achieved far more brilliant results that others did for almost twice the time that were booked. What is more, I wasn't charged for 4 hours but for 3 and a half - the difference is not much, but it meant a lot to me. I have been using Local Cleaners Clapham for 2 months now and I am not planning to turn to a any other company. In fact, I booked them to come by and clean all carpets - which was a really good deal because they also gave a discount as their existing customer. I strongly recommend this company - you get value for the money you spend.

I used Local Cleaners Clapham a second time around I hoped things would be better. My previous…read moreexperience left me with a voucher and since I was moving house the old place needed cleaning too. Learning from my previous experience I booked the first job of the day in the morning to avoid extreme delays. I called and specifically stated that I had a 4 bedroom house that needed cleaning to include carpets, windows and the works. Due to timing the window services would take place 2 days later which I understood. Cleaning day comes (same guy but now has a helper) we go through the areas and yet again there's a discrepancy from my phone agreement and his orders on paper. Phone conversation back to the office (again in another language) and the office calls me. 'Hello sir, the cost will be an additional 20 for the area you didn't tell us about.' Imagine my frustration (cartoon image of man's face turning red, ears shooting steam and eyes bulging) yes, that was me. I responded with 'I told you in detail what I needed and even offered the floor plan, measurement and photos just to make sure we didn't have a repeat situation of your service failure the last time I booked you. In addition I find it also interesting that this extra cost is exactly the amount of the voucher you've given me from the last time I used your services.' More empty apologies and waiting to hear from the manager etc as before. Alas same offer as before with another gift voucher but no discount on the service being done. Exhausted with these folks I agreed to accept it and then said 'ok I've got window cleaning with you 2 days from now and want to apply that voucher to the service' to which they said 'oh I'm sorry that's not possible, the voucher we'll give you is only good for newly scheduled services and not existing ones.' Utterly shocked and amazed by the audacity of these people I said 'wow, ok I'd like to cancel my next service and I'll rebook using the voucher or you can just apply that and make it easy for both of us.' The lady then said 'Oh I'm sorry we cannot do that because the voucher is only good for domestic cleaning and not window cleaning and we're prepared to send you our best cleaner and best equipment on the next services you book with us.' Now angry and a little confused by the 'we'll send you our best next time' as if I had somehow selected lower quality service and equipment request. In the end I requested cancellation of their services. Suddenly they were willing to talk about a discount, 'we'll send our best team and equipment' surfaced yet again however I was simply DONE with them. She ended the call by saying 'if you change your mind please call back as this is the best offer you'll find' which I found somewhat odd and doubtful. The second promised gift voucher never arrived. This American Southerner feels 'taken to the cleaners' by Local Cleaners Clapham and I do declare as y'all are my witness I'll never use them again.

The details are what I pay for in a 'deep' clean. Sadly not what you get when you buy this service…read more I will need to spend another hour or 2 on my flat to make it right. It's a small flat. 3 hours every two weeks is normally needed. 6 hours resulted lesser in this instance. I didn't have the time to get the results I wanted. I hired these guys. They cleaned it. It's somewhat cleaner. It's not a deep clean though. £126 and I have to clean myself. It's up to you but I won't repeat order. It would be a complete waste of money. Especially as I was told it's too late to raise a concern once they have my money. Other options are abundant. I have pictures of the results but they're not interested. Live and learn. We called them to ask them to come back as per the 48hours guarantee but it has been mentionned they could not come back. The estate agent therefore had to use its own cleaner and we have been charged an additional £150. I asked End of Tenancy Cleaners for a refund and they refused, and also never admitted their mistake despite the fact we sent them many pictures of theyr bad work (received from the second cleaning company). I would definitely avoid this company in any case, bad work, no respect for the customer, ... Dont go to cheap, you will obviously be disappointed like we did.

** DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE THIS COMPANY**…read more When you're in the process of moving house these are the last people to hire unless you fancy more stress and weeks of trying to get your money back. They did a shocking job on the first clean, not cleaning any of the cupboards, barely even hoovered, dust still everywhere. As you can imagine this did not please our landlady or the estate agent. They company said they'd send someone round for the second clean, this person showed up without any cleaning equipment and had apparently been told she was only going to be recleaning the windows despite me sending 20+ photos of the flat post-clean and asking for a full reclean to be done. Following this, I asked for my money back, weeks of chasing emails and phone calls only to eventually be told that "there were people living there when we cleaned and this was not acceptable", this is a complete lie - the flat was entirely empty for both visits as we'd moved out the week before. I ended up having to pay another cleaning company the same amount again to do a proper job. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY, I CAN'T SAY IT ENOUGH.

My advice - don't use this cleaning company. On several occasions cleaners haven't turned up when…read morethey were supposed to. Both times it was to collect keys and both times I had to take time off from work to wait in for someone who didn't turn up. Similarly on two different occasions when the cleaner had been cancelled they turned up anyway. My partner and I often work nights and ended up being woken up by someone coming into our house when we were not expecting it. Communication skills, by Lynn in particular, leave a lot to be desired. This company seem to have a very poor grasp on customer service. We have ceased our contract with them - which of course comes with a fee which of course wasn't explained when we signed up!

I booked a deep clean of my studio flat and an oven clean…read more The quote for the deep clean was one cleaner for 5 hours. The cleaner called me to say they were finished after 3.5 hours. While cleaning had been done, I wouldn't call it a "deep clean": the cooker hood and kitchen blind were still thick with grease; laminate flooring in the bed area hadn't been cleaner at all; I'd cleared the top of the bathroom cabinet and fridge prior to the cleaner's arrival, but these had not been cleaned; and the tops of some doorframes had been missed. I ended up noticing and cleaning these areas myself over the next few days. The oven clean was booked for the same day, but I got a call on the day to say the cleaner was ill and we re-booked it for the following week. In discussing the re-booking time, I said I had a supermarket order arriving 2-6pm, and that I didn't want it to clash as my kitchen is very small. I asked how long an oven clean would take and was told 1-2 hours Therefore we booked the clean from 12-2pm. The oven cleaner still hadn't arrived at 1:35pm, and as it would have clashed I had to cancel the booking, I asked to cancel it. There was some quibble about refunding me the £75 fee for the oven cleaning, but I did get an agreement the next day to refund it due to being advised to book the cleaning for 12 in order to avoid the clash with the delivery at 2. While I understand that people get sick and sometimes bookings have to be re-scheduled at the last minute, and that traffic can cause delays, cancelling on the day, then being nearly two hours late for the rebooking and not at all proactive about letting the client know about it is a poor way to run a business. I'd also question their quality control process, as the deep clean was not to the standard I had hoped for.
