Shane came out to assess my dryer after it stopped functioning despite having power and being…read morecleaned of its lint trap. He determined it was an internal thermostat fuse that popped to prevent a fire. He waited for the part and replaced it in a subsequent visit. Fast forward a week, my dryer again has the same issue. They came out quick and we took preventative action (clean dryer drum and vent from laundry wall to external wall). Both my drum and vent conduit was relatively clean. So it looks like our control panel is faulty and would need to be replaced given its false positive for overheating. Instead of incurring additional part and labor costs which would have amounted to half of a new dryer anyway, I elected to replace. So although our dryer didn't work or get resolved, Shane was thorough and polite and engaged my husband and me on what was going on and steps forward. I'm glad to hear that Doc Danielson hires veterans and had a great technician who wanted the best outcome for the customer even if the appliance wasn't worth saving.
