Review Visit: July 12th, 2015 On the journey to Canada, my cousin's family and I stopped in Fargo, ND to grab some coffee to help perk us up after driving all night and it was a great stop. Inside Babb's is a cozy coffeehouse with a very nice staff and your typical menu for food and drinks. I bought us all drinks to help revive everyone since we had been driving non-stop at that point, with a quick stop in Minneapolis, MN for breakfast at Hazel's Northeast. Everyone enjoyed their drinks, thankfully. Mine was pretty good, just wish they would've blended the caramel in with the drink instead of drizzling it on there, but other than that, it was great. They seem to offer food and baked goods, but since we just ate pretty recently, we didn't get to sample their food. read more

Seattle vibe coffee shop We went her for drinks and a quick breakfast while in town. The building is very old and the original ceiling and other elements are present. They have an eclectic display of Seattle based pictures. They offer a full selection of coffee and other drinks. I tried the wild berry smoothie and it was delicious. They also had a selection of baked goods and small items to eat. Lots of seating options for couches to table and chairs to give you that homey feel. read more

Came into the restaurant on a Tuesday morning and oh my goodness the vibes were immaculate. The setting was beautiful and Emma was great. She gave the best service I've ever had at a coffee shop in a long time. I had food ordered the Seattle Center quesadilla and that food was neatly prepared. It was hot and the weight wasn't even longer than five minutes so I appreciated every moment of my experience at this restaurant shout out to Emma. This is a hidden gem coffee shop in Fargo. They have an excellent array of coffee, tea, and soda beverages available with every flavor syrup you can imagine plus 50 more you never would have thought of. Plus the coffee itself is actually good, so even a plain espresso is delicious. This looks and feels like a coffee shop in the Pacific Northwest, and that's because the founder is from Seattle. It's no longer owned by the founder, but I haven't seen a change in quality or service since that change. They do serve food here, and it's okay. That's the biggest room for improvement is to increase quality of breakfast food. It's still good food, but there are better breakfast restaurants in Fargo, in my opinion. read more

How can a place with a neon sign behind the counter, that says "Good Vibes", be so dour?! I stood at the counter for about 5 minutes w/out anyone greeting me, and when they did, they seemed annoyed. The ambience looked great when I walked in, but the service was terrible, so I straight up left before ordering anything. I fell in love with this shop far before my family even moved to Fargo in 2017. Any time I was in town this was a must stop for years and years. And even after leaving Fargo again, it still stands the same way each time I visit. Babb's just really knows how to do coffee. All of their lattes, mochas, frappes and specialty drinks are mixed just right. They aren't too sweet or artificial like some of the big name chains, and they actually taste like COFFEE first and foremost. Add their invented house made espresso whipped cream on top, and it's literally like crack in a cup. They have good food too- if you're needing sustenance I'd highly recommend the breakfast quesadilla on a spinach wrap. Ooh, my goodness! And if you don't want or don't prefer coffee, their twisted sister red bull drinks are actually quite good. There are lots of tea options too. And you NEED a cinnamon chip scone warmed up to finish the trip, you won't be the same without it. Babb's has great coffee and nibblings, as well as a wonderfully laid back coffee shop atmosphere. Babb's was my daughter's recommendation. Thank goodness for the sign outside that said the special for the day was a snickerdoodle latte because the menus aren't the easiest to get to. They don't have a large board to read and there were people in front of me. I prefer to be able to ponder for a minute at a new place and that would have been difficult since it was my first time. The latte was very good and I like the old building ambiance. You can tell the furniture is well used but that goes along with the whole decor and I don't mind that at all. I enjoyed sitting on the sofa, drinking coffee, and watching the cars go by. It wouldn't be my first choice but it is good. read more

I wandered into Babb's this morning looking for a quick breakfast and immediately fell in love with the atmosphere. It's quiet and homey and would be the perfect place to read or study or get some work done. The baristas were very sweet and friendly, and I could really see how someone could easily spend the day here. However... The breakfast and lunch menu have a variety of sandwiches, pastries, and salads, so I chose a spinach quiche that same with a side of fruit. I'll admit that I'm an out of towner, but I do travel (very) frequently, so I assumed that for $10, I'd get a pretty generous portion of quiche and fruit. Unfortunately, I was wrong. My quiche was very small and the fruit consisted of 3 strawberries and some underripe honeydew. The spread (which seemed like some sort of sundried tomato?) was delicious but needed a lot more quiche :) I'd come back for coffee and ambiance but the food is far too overpriced. read more

This is the third coffee shop I've ventured into while visiting Fargo and it appears I've saved the best for last. Very cool vintage vibe with high ceilings, exposed brick, exposed duck work, hardwood floors, and some antique-looking furnishings- all with a Seattle theme. And the coffee is seriously fantastic. I had the lighter of the two roasts of coffee on their "coffee of the day" menu and it had a nice mellow balance with a hint of sweetness. I also ordered an everything bagel with egg and cheese. Stopped in to get a bakery treat and a coffee drink to go onduring Covid. There were 20+ customers in the place, NONE wearing masks (nor even evidence of a mask in hand). The staff were masked--which was good--but I felt super uncomfortable and unsafe. I got my bakery item and skipped the beverage as I just wanted out NOW. Stupid me walks in wanting a large latte chai tea but walks out with a $3:25 cup of hot water and a tea bag. Here's the story. I walk in and ask for a large chai tea when my turn is up. So the friendly staffer behind the counter asks me something. Right at that moment his counterpart kicks off the cappuccino machine so I can't hear a thing. The exhaust of this things pumps out right in your face. Think of that Mac truck hauling gravel in front of the old Toyota. Alright not exactly. So now I'm flustered and slightly annoyed. So I pretend I heard him and explain what I want. Clearly not making sense in regards to his question. The staffer repeats his question and for reasons still unknown I say just the tea and water. When did that even become an option at a high-end coffee shop charging 3:25 a glass? So here I am walking out the door with this incredibly hot large cup of water that I can hardly hold. Two thirds of it get dumped in the street within 30 paces of the door. One good thing that came out of this was a great park just a block away. Just head down Broadway over the tracks on the other side of Main St. Head down the hill and your there. On your way stop in and order some coffee or tea. The right way. read more

Came here while passing through town and absolutely loved it! The owner was so friendly and nice and the food and drinks were delicious! The atmosphere is really inviting and relaxing. I wish we had more time to hang out and enjoy the place but we were really glad we made a stop here. The menu items are named after Washington places and attractions and it has a Seattle vibe as well as theme. You won't be disappointed by stopping at this place while in town. Oh and she sells essential oils among some other things. Both of my kids are under 1 and teething so we decided to get some of the baby teeth essential oils to see if it would help. So far so good. Fantastic coffee, especially when Babb's makes it for you herself! You'd be crazy not to get the home made whipped cream on anything. Even if your order water, have her put whip cream on it! JK I wish she'd offer a few gluten free items in that tantalizing case of goodies that causes a person to drool by coming in 5 feet of it. If you love scones, muffins, cheesecakes, or anything along that line - then you'll like Babb's. They are all made in house and exude 'home made" in appearance, I can't imagine what they taste like. Hardly any foam, cool enough to gulp down at first contact, and a weird, stale, aftertaste. The first thing you will notice about Babb's is the laid back feel. The furniture is welcoming. Tables, couches, coffee tables, whatever you like! There's pllenty of artwork, and I was surprised to hear spanish music playing! Made me feel like I was back home in Miami. I also heard some contemporary jazz. As far as the music goes, very subtle, relaxing, and overall just stuff you don't hear everyday (refreshing!). All 3 people working were incredibly nice. The girl was training so she took a while to ring in our order, but we weren't in a rush so no biggie. Any questions we had were answered, and they made great recommendations. I had a sausage and swiss breakfast sandwich on an english muffin, and my girlfriend had a ham and cheddar breakfast sandwich on a croissant. Both were amazing... and that croissant is DELISH. We both had iced caramel lattes, which both hit the spot. If they ask if you want whipped cream, SAY YES. IT'S HOMEMADE!!! Everything is baked fresh. We also tried the cinnamon scone and it was bomb as well. Free wifi, all you have to do is ask for a ticket with the password after you purchase something and they will be happy to hook you up. It used to be open WIFI but the tenants above the building were jacking it and slowing everybody down. Freakin' BUMS! We will definitely be back next time we're in Fargo. Great Job guys!! read more

A good coffee house as far as they go. Babb's has a good mix of iced and hot coffee drinks and plenty of comfortable seating. The sweets are good too; be sure you try the red velvet cheesecake or some of the cookies. While Babb's is nothing to write home about, this is still better than your typical chain coffee joint. read more

If I were a student, or needed a quiet work space I would come here. The atmosphere was very chill and relaxed with some folks talking and soft music playing. We only stayed upstairs, but they have plenty of table space and a beautifully crafted chess board with ceramic pieces. The drink selection is expansive, offering a variety of hot and cold coffee and tea beverages. And unique to this spot, they have five different sizes for coffee meaning you can get as caffeinated as you need to! I'll definitely visit again when back in Fargo for the great coffee and great customer service. read more
