I've only recently realized that it's actually been 3 years since I've even seen a doctor. I'm now having a really persistent problem and need to see a doctor and essentially don't have one. It's my own fault for not being proactive and changing PCPs in the rare moments when I'm feeling well, but this doc should not even be on the provider list for my insurance.

I started with Jennifer recently in looks for an EMDR specialized therapist that took my insurance. Her website was very enticing and seemed to be a good fit with how she advertised herself. I began using her services and quickly I found out she was not a good fit. I wanted to give her some time to see if the rapport would build. I am someone who does not have a set schedule and she highly pushed for a weekly appointment. I also work with another therapist who does not take my insurance but absolutely have seen improvement and help with that one, so I was dividing time between the two of them. I am also in the travel industry and do NOT have a set schedule so my schedule changes weekly; some weeks are busier than others. I told her weekly would not work with me, and bi weekly would be best. She canceled the next appointment and I would continue with the following week. The following week ended up I needed to travel and needed to cancel that appointment as well. She makes you sign a cancellation policy which states cancellations you pay out of pocket, which is standard if you are cancelling 24 hours or less. I canceled my appointment 3 days prior with ample time within policy guidelines. I immediately got an email for rescheduling and I stated I would not be able to reschedule due to overloaded schedule. She then proceeded to tell me that since I cancelled I would have to pay out of pocket 140$ since she gave me a "free bee" cancellation already. Again she did not, that is when I told her I was switching to bi weekly because I did not want to continue weekly with her. I truly believe she is in this profession for self gain and not to truly help others. In 15 years I have never had such an absurd canceling process like it is a blood oath to go to a therapist that you reach out to for help. Do yourself a favor, unless you want to be burdened and bound to this therapist. Seek someone who truly wants to help and not find a way to take your money at any means possible. If you are seeking someone's services, you shouldn't be forced to. If you seek a hair stylist and you cancel an appointment within respectable amount of time, do they force you to go and get their services? No. I felt like I was in another forceful trapped relationship with my therapist. It's a NO for me.

I was referred to TCI and knew I needed to go, but didn't want to go. That all changed once I got there. TCI changed my life and forced me to look in a mirror and get comfortable with being uncomfortable and face the parts of me that have been anchoring me from true freedom and inner peace. The program they run is rigourous and caused some serious brain pain, but I was able to break through parts of me that have I've been hiding for most of my life. Each person has their own style of doing things and contributed different things that I needed to receive while I was there, and to me, it was the perfect staff. From crying, to laughing, to being vulnerable and feeling comfortable enough to dig deep and share things with perfect strangers that I've never shared with anyone else; I've never felt more safe, heard, and just allowed to be myself without judgement. Instead I was met with compassion, understanding, and comfort. I don't trust people easily, and I trust every person at TCI with my life, because they not only changed my life, they saved my life. If I name one person in this review, I'm going to have to name all of them (that's a long list), but I was able to go home with the tools I know will help me manage my recovery on a daily basis, and because of that, my fears have lost power over me. I'm eternally grateful to each and every staff member at TCI. Thank you for your kindness, love and care (and for the brain pain experienced from being forced to be honest with myself). I am eternally grateful. This is the place to go if you want to experience true freedom from self. When I feel some sort of way, all I have to do is remember the advice and suggestions and feedback I received during my time at TCI, and I know there's hope that I will be ok. She saved my brother's life and our family/friends' lives in turn! (We wouldn't know what to do without my brother) While my friend and I were trying to help find a place for my brother, Debbie was trying to help even though we didn't think he had the correct insurance for Transformations Care. Debbie helped my friend for countless hours and eventually they were able to figure out insurance to get my brother to Transformations. The fact that she was helping my friend even though we didn't think we could get my brother to Transformations, truly shows that this place has the best of intentions. Debbie wants to help people in need get to the road to recovery! She made the road to recovery so much easier than it could have been. She made my brother feel welcome, normal, and loved.
