Walked into this new barbecue restaurant in Corpus, and the line was 20 to 30 people long. Smell amazing in their atmosphere was uplifted you could see all the workers trying to push out food. This was my first time here. I ended up ordering a pound of brisket moist, jalapeño cheddar sausage, cornbread, beans, jambalaya, and banana pudding. I'll begin with the brisket, which is undoubtedly the best in Corpus Christi, hands down! It was incredibly moist and flavorful, and the bark was perfectly. It was simply amazing. Next up was the sausage. Unfortunately, it wasn't my favorite. It was dry and seemed a bit overcooked. Perhaps I should try the house sausage next time. Ask for all the sides, especially the jambalaya and cornbread. They were incredibly flavorful and simply amazing. A must try!! The beans were OK nothing Bit watery, but did have some decent flavor. Finally, the bread pudding it was great. The only complaint I have here is I felt a little ripped off. My meal was to go, and I just felt shorted on the portion size that I received. I have attached a photo for a little bit more clarity. I was not offered any bread, which I'm not sure if is a standard offering at this restaurant. In my opinion, this barbecue restaurant in my hometown "Corpus" is one of the best. However, there are a few areas that need improvement. The sausage and the serving sizes with a banana pudding. Despite these issues, I will must definitely be returning. I would also like to mention that the entire staff was incredibly amazing, friendly, and talkative. They walked you through every aspect of the ordering process. I wish them the best of luck in the future. read more
