Unfortunately...Artys showed extreme unprofessionalism by dumping my mattresses in the middle of the street and leaving my couch in the middle of the complex (when he was supposed to dispose of it at the County dump). He cancelled my appointment on Saturday and was late on Sunday. Had the smallest truck money could afford and broke the gate to the building. Maintenance from my old residence called me and I have to pay for the damage they did and the mess he left behind. I do not recommend this business at all and am embarrassed that I didn't do better due diligence. Shop somewhere else and get peace of mind. read more

BAAK Trucking - Artys Gatling pretended to load items in his truck and then threw it in a community full of children, right next to a school. - Junk Removal & Hauling Near Me

Are you looking for a smooth moving day? Then BAAK Trucking is the way to go! I messaged Artys through Yelp when I was requesting quotes for movers. Artys quoted a very reasonable hourly rate and asked for a list of items that needed to be moved. He allows you to provide the truck (U-Haul) or will rent one for you at an additional cost. The confirmation came through Yelp and we communicated through Yelp and via text. Artys called before arrival and oh man-- never have I ever seen two people move boxes that quickly and efficiently into a truck and out of a truck! Artys and his worker were thorough, considerate of others in both my apartment complexes, masked up, and communicative about their next steps. There were zero damages to any of my boxes or my furniture and they handled the fragile boxes with incredible care and patience. Thank you to Artys/BAAK Trucking for making moving day less stressful! read more

This did not work out. We reached out to Artys and agreed on him picking up some junk to take to the dump at noon the next day. After exchanging pictures, he gave us a price that was similar to other quotes we received but he could come the next day so we went with him. Very polite as well. We set everything neatly in the driveway so it was easy to pull up and load in. Unfortunately, noon turned into 2 pm. I get it, things happen, no big deal. Eventually, the outdoor camera notified us that someone was outside in our driveway, so I put on my shoes so I could go out and greet them, but just as quickly and they pulled up, they rolled out. I didn't even get out the door. I message Artys to see if everything was okay because I was confused as to why they left without saying anything or even knocking on the door. He messaged back that he had the wrong sized truck and quoted us improperly. They showed up in a $19.99 rental Uhaul cargo van (per my camera footage)...You can't do the job so you just leave without any communication?! At that point, I accepted the 55% increase in price because I just wanted the stuff gone. He said he would look for a larger truck, and try to come around in the evening or tomorrow. Crickets until the evening when I asked for an update because it was getting late and he said he was in DC.... I'm not sure why I had to constantly reach out to this company for answers and communication. Unprofessional and strung me along all day when we were pretty accommodating. read more

Artys, owner of BAAK Trucking, was first to respond to my request for moving services on Yelp. There were other offers but BAAK's was most reasonable in a price and time package. The movers were efficient and strategic in loading the truck for all my things to fit just right. They also kept a great attitude and we even joked while getting the job done at the same time. I would choose BAAK Trucking again and would recommend them to anyone looking for moving services. Being in the military and moving household goods and equipment frequently, I appreciate when it is done well. It was also my pleasure to support another small business, being a business owner myself, especially black-owned and operated. Well done to Artys and the crew. Blessings! BAAK Trucking is awesome! I had a garage full of "stuff" that piled up over 6 months after moving to Potomac... They quoted a fair price, were easy to schedule/on time and were fast. Great guys and I highly recommend. read more

Moved from my house in Patterson Park to our new house in Reservoir Hill in Baltimore. Reservoir Hill homes are much larger and have a plethora of steps, however they pushed through in a professional manner. Great pricing, communication was very good, crew worked efficiently and non-stop. Will recommend, for big moves and small moves. read more

The team at BAAK trucking are amazing. They were totally on time and communicative the entire time. Will definitely use again.

Used BAAK for my move and they made the process so easy. The owner was super easy to get in contact with and very efficient. The day of my move they came on time and got to work. A phenomenal job by the two movers. Very respectful and helpful. I can not say enough good things! read more

BAAK Trucking was the first to message back when I reached out about lumber removal; Artys was responsive and careful to make sure he knew what the job entailed before giving me a final quote. He was perfectly on time to the job and took care of everything I needed. All of the communication was prompt, accurate, and professional--and he wasn't trying to rip me off, which I really appreciate! read more

This truck was seen dumping mattress and box spring in the middle of the road. Movers with attitude. Nobody needs to deal with that. read more

I needed a few items hauled away and Artys quickly replied to my messages and was able to come out the following day. He charged a fair and competitive price and had a great attitude. I was very happy with the service I received and will reach out to him next time I need assistance. read more

I couldn't sell some of my furniture, I reached to some of the junk removers in yelp, and I got the lowest price from BAAK Trucking. I was at work till 5 pm, so he was nice to accept showing up around 5:30 pm and did a pretty good job. A bed, couch and drawer were disassembled in 10 minutes, and we were heading to the elevator after 15 minutes of entering the apartment. Nothing bumped to the walls or door. Nice and quick! read more

Artys was running a little late (admittedly on a last minute scheduling on my part) but communicated regularly through that time and arrived at that later time that he said he would. Got everything moved safely put in our new apartment without any damage after dealing with a less-than-helpful front desk guy. I'd rather have someone run late but communicate and do the job well than knock it out quickly but damage several items as I've had in the past. Would definitely hire him again and his rates are more than competitive. read more

I moved several times in the DMV, but BAAK team was by far the best movers I've ever had. They were honest, personable, and prompt. They showed that they cared for my items as much as I did when moving them. They also gave me an honest price. Had ZERO moving fee surprises--just as they promised. BAAK provided me with not just the best price but also the best service. 100% recommend to anyone moving soon. You won't be disappointed. read more

I needed someone to help me move some of my furniture and it was last minute thing. BAAk trucking was super quick on responding and didn't hesitate to help even though it was short notice. He was very professional took care of things made it sounds like it's an easy job even tho it's not. I hardly recommend BAAk Trucking and if am moving again hopefully not I will def use his service again. Very happy with his service. read more

This is the best haul away service I've had. Prompt response, incredible price, and great service. I would give it 6 stars if I could. I will be only using this service in the future. read more

BAAK Trucking skillfully moved my 1 bedroom, which was split between two locations. He was competent, courteous, and quick. I'll hire him next time I need to move. read more

Worked fast and efficiently. No complaints. Would hire again. Communicated throughout the whole process.

Cannot say enough good things about Artys and his company. Immediate response to my request for a quote. Available for a short notice move the very next day. Rate was far below any other quote I received. Called ahead of time to confirm details. Arrived on time for the job. Friendly, polite, fast, thorough and knew what he was doing. He is clearly experienced in the business and knows how to get the job done. Moved everything I needed in no time at all, I am still amazed how fast they got the job done. Literally everything was perfect, I wouldn't change a single thing about the whole experience. Next time I need a moving service I won't be shopping around, I'll go right back to Artys and BAAK Trucking. Don't hesitate to give them your business. I've been active duty military for 15 years and have moved A LOT. BAAK Trucking is hands down the best moving company I've ever worked with. read more

Artys did a great job for my local move. He was able to get me scheduled last minute when my initial movers cancelled and communication during booking at leading up to the move was great. The only less than ideal part was that the second person (of the two man crew) didn't show up until about an hour into the move. Artys still worked really hard when he was by himself, but of course it would have gone faster with two people. Once both guys were there, things moved quickly and they were both really nice, personable guys. They were very skilled at disassembling and reassembling things that needed to be, and navigating some tight spaces in a DC rowhouse. Overall, I definitely recommend them. read more
