While locked out, I am blessed that I was able to yelp in my garage and foundBen. He answered my questions politely and also he was kind enough to offer me the Yelp deal just by mentioning it! He is around the Castro Valley/ Oakland area so it didnt take us too much wait time even though he was in the middle of his another job. It only took him couple minutes to open the door from garage, at a reasonable price (Don't forget the $10 off deal for Yelpers) - I had been a resident manager and I charged the same even I had a master key. A Recommended-locksmith, if you have a bad luck, just like me today. read more

Ben did a phenomenal Job! We hired him for an eviction and the occupant was not cooperative. He took the risk of going there and facing the occupant, did his stuff quickly was able to secure the place for us. He is also very good with follow through while I was still coordinating this to him, he calls back right away and he is very organized. I did not talk to him for a few days but when I was going to finalize everything, he knew all the details and I did not have to reiterate it. Kudos for a job well done! read more

This is the guy you want to call! I had an emergency situation with my locks. I called a few places and they were just referral sources and not an actual locksmith. I wanted to support local business. I ran across BA Locksmith & immediately I was impressed by the comments. So I called, he personally answered and fit me in his busy schedule. It was 1pm and I needed locks changed ASAP since a bag was stolen from my car with keys in it. I had an appointment that night but did not want to leave my home vulnerable. Ben, the owner, came over by 2pm! Not only did he re-key my locks but I had a few doors where the locks did not work well. He fixed everything in about 45 minutes & his price was $150 less than others quoted. The coolest thing was that he was so friendly & felt like we knew him for years. This is the guy you want to call! read more

Ben knows what he's doing. He is very professional, efficient and effective. I appreciated him communicating with me regarding his status at his other job and keeping me posted on his ETA. Highly recommended! read more

Convenient, Quick, Professional Service Called Ben and set up an appointment for a rekey. Ben was right on time. He did a great job and gave some suggestions for some other issue he saw. Good service at a reasonable price. read more

Quick, Professional Service, and Convenient I used Yelp to look for a locksmith and came across a handful with good/great ratings. After doing some research and calling around, I was confident I found my locksmith. Ben was polite, professional, and promptly on time for our appointment. He was able to switch out 3 deadbolt locks and replaced them with 3 new keys in a short amount of time and at a very reasonable price! I would definitely recommend BA Locksmith in EAST BAY if you find yourself needing a locksmith. read more

I had to replace 3 new locks and one driveway lock. Ben called me back within 24 hours, gave me a quote over the phone and made himself available as soon as possible. He is extremely nice and professional. The locks are great and I would definitely recommend him! read more

Excellent service. He showed up on time and gave us several options. After he explained why the QuickSet locks in our new home wouldn't accept the Schlage key we use elsewhere, he went over several options to resolve our issue and then handled re-keying and the installation of new Schlage lock sets quickly and efficiently (and under budget). We'll definitely use BA Locksmith again. read more

Outstanding! Ben actually tried to talk me through my issue so he didn't have to come out and charge me. I was so frustrated and had so much going on I just needed it DONE! He came out, expertly handled, and within something like 20 minutes. Price was beyond fair and very professional read more

We just purchased a new home in Eagle with nine separate door levers and deadbolts...all keyed alike. They were Schlage locks, but only Kwikset offers the smart key system. The replacement locks were well over $300 and of course it was quite a downgrade to Kwikset. I called BA Locksmith and Security and he was able to come the same day and rekey all nine locks for half the price of replacement. He was on time, completed the work quickly, and provided four keys. Based on our discussions of locks and locksmithing, I would give him my highest recommendation and will call him if I ever need locksmith services again. He also gave us advice on how to go about getting in should we ever be locked out. He recommended an external lockbox that securely stores a key and is easily accessible. read more

I needed someone to install a deadbolt on my door ASAP after it had been tampered with. I found Ben on yelp and he was able to come out the same day. Very friendly, knowledgable and he did quality work. The experience was positive and I would recommend him to anyone. Small business always give better quality service than places who just hire workers. 5 stars! Thanks for the quick service! read more

Ben is awesome! I've had the opportunity to use his services a few different times and have been extremely impressed with his professionalism and timeliness. There is no reason to look anywhere else! Trust his reviews. read more

Needed various locksmith-type services for our relatively new house, and after quite a bit of Yelp research, contacted 3 different locksmiths for quotes. Ben was the quickest to get back to us, reached out very proactively, and was super FRIENDLY. We immediately got a good vibe from him, and could trust him right off the bat... was pretty clear to go with Ben. Was definitely the right choice! Ben scheduled the work the next day within our schedule-restraints, showed up on time, fully prepared with everything he needed. In about 2 hours or so, he: 1) - Installed a 2nd Deadbolt on our front door 2) - Modified our back-door sliding glass door to have a cylinder lock in it, so a keyed entry works from the outside, using the same key from our house locks (I didn't even know you could do that....AWESOME) 3) - Sanded down and adjusted an interior bathroom door and "strike", as our house has settled and the door has been tight to close/lock... not really a "locksmith" thing, per-say, but he fixed it completely! He really went above and beyond...couldn't believe he was able to hook us up with all this stuff the next day. Months later now, and its all working perfectly! We love the extra deadbolt and the keyed entry on the sliding glass door...all set up to use the same main key we use for everything. During the whole process, Ben was super professional and also friendly and "down-to-earth"... very great to deal with, and super reasonably/competitively pried. Highly recommended!! read more

Ben was early for the appointment which worked out fine. He was friendly, quick and efficient. Knowledgeable about our locks as we were rekeying our new house and I was unfamiliar with the brand and how they work. Highly recommend!!! read more

Excellent service! I called needing same-day service. Ben was able to come by within an hour, changed the locks on all four doors really quickly, and did a great job. What stood out the most was Ben's genuine empathy for the relationship situation that was the reason for the rush service. read more

Thank you so much for squeezing me into your busy schedule and getting the job done within the same day that I asked you to help me. Thank you for saving me money and being really polite and helpful!!! You are my new go to locksmith!!! Thanks Ben! read more

We called BA Locksmith to repair a custom door lock with an escutcheon plate especially made for an Eichler door. Ben arrived on time and did a great job for us. The lock is working perfectly. I would recommend him in an emergency. There are a lot of fly by night locksmiths out there scamming the public and overcharging for unprofessional work. Ben is a reliable, licensed professional that you can depend on. read more

Great, amazing customer service. I contacted BA Locksmith to help with fixing our suite door. A key had broke in the lock. He was available to visit our location, the same day that I called. (Unlike the other, local, locksmiths- who were booked out, for at least a week.) Highly recommend this locksmith, for fast and exceptional service. read more

Ben is extremely professional, and very helpful when it comes to all of your lock needs. He helped us fix numerous doors that were not latching properly, and auto closures that were malfunctioning and installed incorrectly by other installers. Ben is very open to suggestions and ideas, his products are high-quality and he did a great job helping us with all of our locking needs. I recommend him as a great choice as a business owner and security connoisseur :-) read more

Reasonably priced, quality work, and a delightful gentleman to work with. Thank you for rekeying our business!

Ben answered my call right away, asked questions about the job re-keying a new property, and scheduled time to do the job later that afternoon. He showed up on time, made sure it was ok where he parked, was professional, checked how many doors had locks, asked how many keys we needed and got to work. Ben was also very pleasant to work with! Most importantly the job got done and done right. He even noticed the garage remotes sitting on kitchen counter and asked if we needed the garage codes cleared and re-set. Yes! So, we got that done, too, paid a second invoice easily right there with credit card and I got another task completed. I highly recommend BA Locksmith & Security. read more

I'm glad I didn't send the message over Yelp, and called him instead. I was at home today to get some random stuff taken care of, and because the contractor I didn't want to work with anymore has not returned my keys, I thought that now was a good time to get my locks fixed. I called Ben at 1:48pm to get a quote for 7 locks to be re-keyed. The numbers he gave me sounded reasonable, and so I asked for his availability. Lucky for me, he said he was available at 3pm. After I got off the phone with him, I told my husband about the exchange. Of course I managed to mess up the order because I'm a girl and know nothing; my husband told me that I was supposed to have asked to have the locks completely changed. I told this to Ben later, and he was very accommodating of my job order change, and still came at the appointed time. He looked over the current installation and advised that I didn't have to change everything, and just swap out the Kwikset deadbolts since they're not the best quality. The others can just be re-keyed. He had all the materials available so it didn't take him long to get started on the work. The doors on my house are wonky. Probably because of its age. But Ben did a great job on the locks. I wasn't watching him the whole time, but I heard the lock clicks, and they're much smoother compared to how they were originally. And he made all these adjustments here and there that I don't think other workers would have done to make the locks work well, given the weirdness of my door frames. I probably could have found a cheaper locksmith, but I'm glad I went with Ben. He's super nice, and didn't try to make me get new locks when I didn't have to. Again, he did all these fixes that I don't think others would have done. (Okay, not that I've hired locksmiths in the past, but I've had experience with other blue collar workers who cut corners or just do what they're asked without looking at the big picture and considering long term effects of the installation.) Love the electronic invoicing just because I hate keeping paper. He's a one-man shop which I think is nice because he has control over the quality of the work. Also, all his paperwork is up to date. At the time of this review, he's properly licensed and bonded, no infractions on his license, and his FBN registration is active. He's not some bogus business man who's cutting corners or doing business without a proper license. read more

Amazing service, quick turn around, very friendly and professional. Also very knowledgeable with very good insight on security issues that need to be addressed. He even came on what was supposed to be his day off. Highly recommended. read more

Still the best locksmith I have worked with. He has been able to find or make many hard to find pieces to the OLD locks in my building.

My friend who owns a jewlery store here in Castro Valley needed better security on his doors so I called Ben after getting a recommendation from another friend. He gave us a reasonable quote over the phone and was able to do it the next day. He was very friendly and clearly knew his stuff, suggesting many different alternatives once he saw the place. The price of the job was very close to the original quote and my friend says he feels a lot safer in his store now. He even bought an additional safe from Ben for a very reasonable price as well. Thanks! If I ever need a locksmith again I will definitely be calling BA Locksmith. read more

I've used Ben twice, each time to install a new deadbolt. His approach to your individual solution is flexible, and custom-tailored to your needs. I find Ben to be genuine, kind, and a craftsman that truly cares about his service. And, his prices are fair. Ben is my locksmith. Highly recommended. read more

I changed purses and forgot to put my keys in my new purse. Didn't realize it till I got home. After a couple of attempts to find a locksmith via Google and my iPhone, I finally found Ben of BA Locksmith. Ben showed up right away and had the job done in five minutes. That is impressive enough, but to do so with kindness, courtesy and respect was beyond my expectations. Ben was a lifesaver and I would gladly recommend him. Five stars are just not enough! Thank you, Ben. read more

There is a reason BA Locksmith gets 5 star reviews. I am pretty stingy with 5 star reviews - BA Locksmith not only met but surpassed my expectation for service and quality of work. BTW before I called BA I talked with 2 others that were not straight forward and 2 more locksmiths that never returned my call. I will definitely recommend BA Locksmith to all my friends and contacts and I will not hesitate to call them when I have another lock service need. I wish we had more small business owners that took pride in their work as BA does. read more

Very professional and helpful. Called and made an appointment for next day rekeying / lock replacement. Arrived on time. Was honest enough to say he hadn't done a front door screen lately but went out of his way to do some research on it so as to provide an estimate. Very easy to talk to. Finished the job very quickly and cleaned up after himself. Took care to make sure the dogs didn't get out. Will call again once I get the funds to to do the screen door. read more
