We just purchased a new home in Eagle with nine separate door levers and deadbolts...all keyed alike. They were Schlage locks, but only Kwikset offers the smart key system. The replacement locks were well over $300 and of course it was quite a downgrade to Kwikset. I called BA Locksmith and Security and he was able to come the same day and rekey all nine locks for half the price of replacement. He was on time, completed the work quickly, and provided four keys. Based on our discussions of locks and locksmithing, I would give him my highest recommendation and will call him if I ever need locksmith services again. He also gave us advice on how to go about getting in should we ever be locked out. He recommended an external lockbox that securely stores a key and is easily accessible. read more

Needed various locksmith-type services for our relatively new house, and after quite a bit of Yelp research, contacted 3 different locksmiths for quotes. Ben was the quickest to get back to us, reached out very proactively, and was super FRIENDLY. We immediately got a good vibe from him, and could trust him right off the bat... was pretty clear to go with Ben. Was definitely the right choice! Ben scheduled the work the next day within our schedule-restraints, showed up on time, fully prepared with everything he needed. In about 2 hours or so, he: 1) - Installed a 2nd Deadbolt on our front door 2) - Modified our back-door sliding glass door to have a cylinder lock in it, so a keyed entry works from the outside, using the same key from our house locks (I didn't even know you could do that....AWESOME) 3) - Sanded down and adjusted an interior bathroom door and "strike", as our house has settled and the door has been tight to close/lock... not really a "locksmith" thing, per-say, but he fixed it completely! He really went above and beyond...couldn't believe he was able to hook us up with all this stuff the next day. Months later now, and its all working perfectly! We love the extra deadbolt and the keyed entry on the sliding glass door...all set up to use the same main key we use for everything. I'm glad I didn't send the message over Yelp, and called him instead. I was at home today to get some random stuff taken care of, and because the contractor I didn't want to work with anymore has not returned my keys, I thought that now was a good time to get my locks fixed. I called Ben at 1:48pm to get a quote for 7 locks to be re-keyed. The numbers he gave me sounded reasonable, and so I asked for his availability. Lucky for me, he said he was available at 3pm. After I got off the phone with him, I told my husband about the exchange. Of course I managed to mess up the order because I'm a girl and know nothing; my husband told me that I was supposed to have asked to have the locks completely changed. I told this to Ben later, and he was very accommodating of my job order change, and still came at the appointed time. He looked over the current installation and advised that I didn't have to change everything, and just swap out the Kwikset deadbolts since they're not the best quality. The others can just be re-keyed. He had all the materials available so it didn't take him long to get started on the work. The doors on my house are wonky. Probably because of its age. But Ben did a great job on the locks. I wasn't watching him the whole time, but I heard the lock clicks, and they're much smoother compared to how they were originally. And he made all these adjustments here and there that I don't think other workers would have done to make the locks work well, given the weirdness of my door frames. I probably could have found a cheaper locksmith, but I'm glad I went with Ben. He's super nice, and didn't try to make me get new locks when I didn't have to. Again, he did all these fixes that I don't think others would have done. (Okay, not that I've hired locksmiths in the past, but I've had experience with other blue collar workers who cut corners or just do what they're asked without looking at the big picture and considering long term effects of the installation.) Love the electronic invoicing just because I hate keeping paper. He's a one-man shop which I think is nice because he has control over the quality of the work. Also, all his paperwork is up to date. At the time of this review, he's properly licensed and bonded, no infractions on his license, and his FBN registration is active.
