I was alarmed to see that my front door latch was twisted...looked like someone tried to break in. Headed over to Yelp; ~ BA Locksmith had such great ratings, I just had to call. Ben answered immediately and set an appointment within the hour. My plan was to dash to Home Depot and buy a new door handle and lock set. My problem was that I didn't want to miss the police officer who was going to make a report. Guess what? BEN DID MY SHOPPING FOR ME. Can you believe it? Now. THIS is great service. I called/emailed Ben right before he was going on vacation, then after that I went on vacation, but when I re-connected with him when I returned home, he scheduled an appointment with me right away and showed up on time. Thanks to Ben's quick and efficient work, I'm now able to get in and out of my Mom's front door without any issues. Her deadbolt was loose, and while my key went in fine - it wouldn't turn in either direction (to lock or unlock). I called (after reading SO many great reviews) and though he said he was VERY busy this week, he'd do his best to fit me in - if I was flexible about the time. Since I didn't have anywhere else to be yesterday, I said that was fine. He called me back around 3:30 and said he'd be here before 4:00. He was right on time, and I was happy to see he was wearing a mask. I asked if he would like me to wear one too, but said that no - unless I was planning on breathing down his neck the whole time he'd be there, that wasn't necessary. (and of course, I just wanted to let him do his job!) I showed him what the issue was, and he said it wouldn't take but a minute to tighten up the lock. While he was working, he mentioned that the bolt part of the lock was very old and worn (and actually, they don't even make that part anymore) and suggested a replacement. I said that would be fine. Then he noticed that the bolt wasn't matching up with the hole in the door frame very well, and that he could fix that too. It took him just a few minutes, then he even went to the trouble of vacuuming up the bit of sawdust that had been created. So 5 big starts for BA Locksmith and Security! I've saved his name and number in my phone for the next time I need a locksmith! read more

I am a new business owner in Meridian. I wasn't given the interior keys for the offices inside my wellness center and needed all of the locks to be rekeyed. Ben came out within 30 minutes of my phone call...he probably would had come out even SOONER if I didn't have to have the extra time, myself, to get to the building with my baby. Ben was professional, amicable, affordable and efficient. He offered me many different options and explained the pros and cons of each option. He was able to key 5 doors, label ALL the keys per room and give me extra keys for my tenants in less than 2 hrs. He did everything on-site. He even labelled each key and put them on a master key ring for me so I wouldn't confuse the keys. I'll cut right to the chase; Ben arrived right on time, got the work done very quickly, and was very pleasant and friendly. Granted the job I had him do was very straightforward, I only needed 4 locks re-keyed, however, the impression left on me was extremely professional and I'm confident he did good work. He even advised me on replacing our back door and pointed out some of its flaws, but did not pressure me to use him for the job. All this in a mere 30 minutes! Price-wise I think it was a little on the steep side, ended up being about $40/lock (price included 5 keys, for the record) But like many of you out there, I'll gladly pay a slight premium for peace of mind.
