I got locked out from my apartment while I was out on vacation. My friend was watching my cat and had the only key we got but our deadbolt got locked by accident, so my cat was trapped without food. I frantically called Advanced Lock & Key and Kirk Ciccarello took up my request. He showed up an hour late, blaming it on me to my friend. I didn't answer his call for 10 minutes, he complained to my friend asking for payment from her and saying she couldn't get in just to feed the cat and would have to lock the door again if I didn't pay him immediately. He hadn't given me a way to pay him or tell me how much I owned him up until this point. I payed him as planned and he left with the door unlocked. But not before complaining to my friend about how much he hates working with people like me and how much of an inconvenience it is that I needed to ask my friend to come and feed my cat, how I should have picked up immediately (I was ready when he said he would have been there an hour earlier but he waited 30 minutes to say he would be another 30 minutes and I had things to do). My friend said she felt threatened and uncomfortable the entire time. Their website says they offer free child lockouts and I am fully aware a human child is different then a cat, I expected to pay maybe $50 for the 10 minutes it took him to unlock the door, not including the drive there. I highly recommend Advanced Lock & Key Locksmith. I was working late the night before Thanksgiving. When I got ready to go home, I couldn't find my keys anywhere. This is the first time I've ever lost my keys, and it couldn't have happened at a worse time. I I called several other locksmiths first, but wasn't able to reach anyone. I was so relieved when Owner Kirk Ciccarello answered the phone. He made arrangements for his employee Dalton to meet me at my house. Dalton let me into my house and was kind enough to give me a ride back to my office, so I could pick up my vehicle. I gave him a generous tip. I continued to look for my keys for about a week, because I knew that it would be very expensive to replace them. When I finally realized that they were nowhere to be found, I called the car dealership, who quoted me $484 to replace my keys. By comparison, Kirk said he would replace them for $210. I lost my only keys to my car on bogus basin and was locked out and had no way back home after the mountain had closed I finally was able to get somebody to pick me up and bring me home. I spent countless of hours talking with insurance and tow truck companies to get my car safety down but nobody could help me. Technician arrived ahead of schedule and with all needed supplies to rekey the house and install a new Digital lock. Technician was fast, efficient and installed locks with great craftmanship. I used this service recently to change my locks on my home and must say I did not feel that I could recommend this place. I was quoted one price on the phone and was not told there was a service fee (which was 45.00) and they charge additional in Eagle. While the technician who came out was friendly and we did get more locks than we anticipated which is a separate charge from the service fee I was left with a bad taste in my mouth. The service fee was substantial, and when I called to discuss it they said, oh that is just part of the overall amount and did nothing to address my concern. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! I cannot say I am happy to write this review, and it will be lengthy. I had to get an extra key made for my car along with a key fob. I went to Advanced Lock and Key to do just this. The owner, Kirk, told me he'd been doing this for 37 years, and it would be an easy thing. Indeed, he created my new key and key fob with ease, then went to my car to program the key fob...once he completed this programming, my car would no longer start! Now, I have a car that is literally dead in the water! At this point, Kirk had no real answers for me; he said he'd never seen any car in his 37+ years of experience do this. I have only this one car and really needed it to get home, some 20 miles away. Our electric bikes were also on the back of the car, so if we needed to get towed, we'd need a way to get them home, which we figured out. Kirk, however, was no help in this department, all he could tell us was he had a friend who owned a car stereo shop that he'd call in favor with, that's it! Kirk told us that this was our fault and that we were negligent because the previous owner had an aftermarket GPS put into the car that we did not tell him about...this totally befuddled me as I had no idea there was an aftermarket GPS/alarm in the car as I am not a mechanic. I did not look in the control box where that stuff is stored. It is my humble opinion that Kirk, the guy with 37+ years of experience in doing this kind of stuff, is the professional that I paid, by the way, to do all of this work, and should be the one to know this by simply looking over stuff BEFORE doing any programming so he can get a 'lay-of-the-land. He became extremely belligerent to me and started to lecture me about my negligence as to why the car ended up the way it did. Please keep in mind that HE did all of the work on the car; I touched nothing. After Kirk pulled out the so-called 'aftermarket GPS device,' he showed us the wire connecting the device to the car and snipped it so he could remove it! Yes, you heard me right; he snipped this device out of my car without asking, just did it. After all of this, Kirk just left us standing there in his parking lot to help other customers; he literally got into his service van and just left...we had not yet secured a ride or figured out how we would get home! I did indeed try to accommodate Kirk's wishes by getting the car towed using my service the next day to his friend's stereo shop, which I only did to try to accommodate him and calm him down. The stereo shop (The Sound Depot) really hooked me up, though; they were able to get my car running again after Kirk botched it up; thanks, Sound Depot! Kirk tries to be very intimidating and 'mansplain' things to people. He doesn't listen at all and is plain rude. I would never use this service again and would tell ANYONE who plans to get a new key made or needs a locksmith of any kind, don't visit Advanced Lock and Key for these needs; you'd have better luck asking a criminal lock picker to do what you'd like, because Kirk knows absolutely nothing about standing behind his services, in my opinion. He may know how to create keys, but he knows NOTHING about customer service and how to help customers when HE makes a mistake! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! read more

On a Sunday no less when the car dealer and rental company could not help. We accidentally locked our keys in the trunk of a 2019 car with a tight security system.
