This is my favorite plant store! Sometimes I go in just to get a breath of fresh air. Everything about this store is so cute! They are very helpful with care instructions and choosing the best plant for your home based on your description of the lighting. They even indulged me and looked at videos of the plant wall project I'm working on. I purchased two kokodemas, a neon pothos and two white elephants and it was a great addition to my plant wall. They have care cards for the plants which is a nice way for beginners to keep their plants alive! I love that they have classes/events too and sell other planty items like tote bags. Stopped in here after buying a unicorn pot from GameStop and needing a plant. This shop is super cute and was much more affordable than I thought. I ended up getting a medium sized succulent that I was going to take home and plant, but the cashier told me I could plant it while I was there! The woman who helped me was super friendly and extremely knowledgeable in answering all of my questions. I tend to kill all the plants that I bring home and she was able to help me figure out possible ways in which I could prevent that from happening in the future. They also offer the ability to purchase sand, rocks, and soil based on weight for you to take home and do yourself which is really nice in the case you don't want to buy a huge bag of soil. read more

I've been a fan of B. Willow for quite a while now! The shop opened up a few months back but due to some travels I missed out on seeing it. I had purchased a few of their plants and terrariums in the past at pop-up shops and was always in love with their attention to detail and beautiful plants/products. Everything down to the plant care cards is designed to impress. Walking into the shop I realized that I was right to be excited to finally check it out. It is a plant lover's dream once you walk inside. Also being partial to the color green (it's my favorite color) I was immediately in a great mood. The shop is divided up by the different types of plants you may be looking for and each section contains a card with care instructions for that type of plant. Most plants also have individual cards on them to make sure you have it when you are home. The staff here was very attentive and helped me pick out some new things for my expanding plant and terrarium collection. I let them know I'd definitely be coming back and I absolutely meant it, check this place out!! read more

4th time raising a house plant is the charm right? I walked into B Willow for the first time this weekend requesting a sturdy plant that can survive some neglect, random watering, and has the potential to grow about as tall as I am, and was met with knowledgeable staff, plenty of recommendations, and patience for my many questions. They also offer little booklets about caring for your plant, and as plant nights featuring diy events as well as drinks. I ended up adopting a small ZZ plant and rsvp-in to a few events. There was one very nice lady and there was one very rude man and nasty lady maybe she is racist but I'm not aggressive so I don't know what else to think. I was looking a round and she immediately put up a gate cutting me off from looking at the plants with no explanation and told me I wasn't allowed beyond that point which was fine. Then she starred at me and ignored every question I had. The lady that was so nice actually sold me on a few plants but every time I noticed the manager starring fire through my soul I couldn't get my self to want to purchase anything. I left it was a really bad experience. I'm sure people of the opposite color don't have these issues because I didn't see her doing that to anyone else in the store. So hopefully this review sheds light and she can be nice to all colors. read more

The selection of plants and pottery at B Willow is really spectacular. I notoriously kill most of the plants that come into my home but feel as though the quality of plants and care cards at B Willow have allowed me to introduce a lot more greenery into my home and office. The prices seem a bit steep at first, but after enjoying a few weeks with plants in my home, I think the quality makes it well worth the price. All of this said, I find the staff very unwelcoming and as a plant newbie I would have really appreciated more guidance or at least a "hello" as I walked in the door. I've been to the shop in Remington twice so far (once a few weeks ago and again today) and both times I was not greeted when I entered and was only spoken to when I asked a direct question (answers were also quite short) or when I went to check out. I really really want to like B Willow and was excited about the opportunity to bring tons of plants into my home, office and the non profit org I work for; however, I can't say that I will make the effort to come back as I don't feel very welcome there. read more

Came here for a grad event where we had some snacks and drinks and then learned about succulents and made up our own planters! In general the staff are very knowledgeable and had many tips for succulent care. They have a nice card on plant care that I keep on the fridge. They did not instruct how much to water (quantity) them- please include this in the future. They have a nice set up for group events and lots of decorative you can have fun with when making your succulent garden. My one complaint is how small our containers were and how expensive the succulents were. They also have a nice collection of air succulents which I enjoyed learning about. Over all fun but am expensive event where I left with a 6 inch diameter container with 3 small succulents- one of which died after 2 weeks despite me following instructions perfectly (probably my fault). I paid $30 for this private event. I say just to your local Home Depot and get everything cheaper. read more

What a great selection of plants here! The Canton location recently opened and has two floors filled with some really unique and rare plant options. The staff is extremely friendly and can walk you through how to care for each plant, depending on which ones you're interested in purchasing. There's also a really cute plant bar in the back of the shop where you can pick out a planter and plant whatever you like! I went with a fern and purchased a yellow planter to go with it. Overall, just a great range of home accessories like vases, stools and planters, if you're looking to customize any newly purchased plants. read more

An adorable and fresh place to buy rarer plants that you can't find in the area. They have a pretty nice selection of plants including monsteras, pilea peperomioides, and air plants. The succulent selection was a bit poor but it's something that can be looked over when you see the rest of their amazing stock. I myself am not a plant expert but I know a thing or two. The staff was very friendly and was more then willing to provide advice on the care of each of the plants. They even gave me the scientific names of all of my plants that were not labeled. As for pricing, most of the plants were very decently priced, a few plants were on the pricier side but overall, thumbs up. I spent 35$ and got three 6 inch and three 2 inch pots and they were all plants that you wouldn't be able to find at a Home Depot or Lowe's. I am very happy with the service provided at B. Talk about a night of relaxation and zen! I came to B Willow for a "Succulent Class" where we planted some plant babies, drank wine (BYOB), and got to meet some other plant parents. I was fully amazed by our instructor and how knowledgeable she was. Everyone in the class was super excited to be there and it was the most relaxed I've felt in a long time. I'll definitely be back to B Willow for some more of the courses they offer! I have two plant babies now and I'll need all the help I can get lol. read more

I was glad to see the store was enforcing limits on people inside, as well as wearing their masks properly! I bought a cute little monstera and a pot. Pricing seemed great to me! Four stars because I had no idea they'd help me pot my plant, and I wish someone would've told me that was an option. Love this place! They closed down their location.l in Canton and only operate out of their Remington location. Always an awesome assortment of plants- tropical, ferns, cacti, trees, you name it! Have gotten 8 plant babies from them to date, and love them all. There are so many places you can get plants in the city (Home Depot, Ace hardware, IKEA to name a few), but going to BWillow always feels a little magical, homey, and charming - all the Baltimore things. I'd choose going here over other plant shops for a few reasons: 1. The folks running it are super knowledgeable about the different plants and have helped me figure out what plants would thrive in certain areas of my home, 2. They build terrariums and succulent arrangements in vintage ceramics/China (all so cute), 3. They do amazing plant re-potting for free/close-to-nothing, with a variety of things you can add on- rocks, sand, charcoal, seashells, etc., and most notably, 4. The unique array of ceramic pots by local artists that you can't find anywhere!! Although these are much pricier than the generic terra cotta planters (which they also have plenty of for super cheap) they are handmade and unique pieces. read more

Why wouldn't you go here? As a millennial, we're being told that houseplants are my generation's new children. And? Houseplants are awesome! And B Willow helps you grow your collection in the best way. Interior of the store is beautiful and you will be glad you shopped here as the staff is on the ball as far as help and knowledge goes. Cost - I'd say if you expect a plant to be 10 dollars at a Home Depot it would likely be 15-20 dollars here. They do have a rewards program and you can get gift cards. They really care about their plants here unlike Home Depot or Lowes where the labels hardly even tell you what the plant is half of the time. This place is SO CUTE! They had an awesome variety of plants and they have an awesome make your own terrarium station! The workers there are very knowledgeable on the different plants and they also have a how to care for your plant card at every different type of plant. My friends and I made a terrarium and I was surprised by how affordable it was! I think it was like $25 per terrarium? You get to choose your vase and then the worker teaches you how to build it up and helps you plant in your new plants. I wish they had one of this in Houston! read more

I stopped by here. I went totally out of my way prior to heading to the airport for my flight home. Sat in traffic for 20 minutes, spent an extra 10$ on the cab ride to BWI because I ended up further away, and lugged my brick of a bag pack around like a mountain mule. I had a pretty big fellowship interview that went well and I was itching to commemorate the moment with some botanical memorabilia. The door was open and it seemed welcoming. Except, after walking into a completely empty store with three employees carrying a conversation on store arrangement, no one said hello. After perusing around without any acknowledgement, I found a neon pothos. Fantastic! I have been wanting one of these babies for a while. It would look great in a planter that I had yet to fill, but maybe I want this peperomia instead? And maybe the growing conditions for one is more low maintenance than the other? How about, someone answer a question and recommend what would work better with my East facing window? Or, you know what, I'm not going to spend a penny at a place where I'm not valued as a customer, so I'm just going to leave. I got on my flight and came home, where just this weekend, a very similar local business, and frequent haunt, filled my neon pothos void. I even grabbed a monstera which had been on the bucket list for some time for good measure. Sure, things are relatively cute and you have your basic plants, succulents, pots, terrariums, etc., and maybe customer service is usually much better than what I experienced. However, I came in here wanting to give away my money, but the complete absence of acknowledgement, let alone service made me turn around and support my native establishments which actually deliver on this front. read more

Ive been frequenting B Willow since very early 2019 when I moved to the neighborhood and have purchased TONS of plants since. Their shop is quite beautiful and Ive mostly enjoyed my interactions with staff, becoming quite friendly with some over the years. However, my recent interactions with new staff have not been so great. Sadly, after my visit today, Im not sure Ill be returning. The staff was really cold, unwelcoming, and honestly kind of rude. They have pivoted so nicely to Covid times. I just did a virtual plant consultation where I got really helpful advice on my plants, for one they went over how to re-pot and watering/other considerations. I wanted to buy a new plant and they gave me advice on which ones would grow well in my living room which they were able to see on video. I used to buy plants at Home Depot and Ikea but they always became invested with pests, or died quickly. B Willow has cured my black thumb, I have four plants from them that are still alive years later and I keep going back. read more

Wow !!! is the first thing I can say. With all that is going on in the world right now, they really came through. I live in another state and it was my favorite nephews birthday. Obviously with Covid 19 I can't visit and sending gifts is NOT MY IDEA OF PERSONAL. He is a cool kid, loves design and plants are his thing, not mine. So instead of going online to buy I thought BUY LOCAL. This place was fabulous, so professional, supportive and had amazing ideas. I knew airplants were on trend but they put together a great package. They came through and helped me come up with a unique, awesome living present, that will still be there when I Finally can visit after this virus is gone. Stopped in today to prep for a plant nite im hosting this weekend for a bunch of friends. Staff were so helpful as I know little about succulents. Guy named Zac helped me collect plant supplies and answered all my questions. Staff gave me a discount since I was buying a bunch of plants in bulk. Left store with plant care cards to give out at the party and Zac even lended a hand with carrying stuff to my car.
