Was such a cute and quant flower shop. The owners are super knowledgeable about plants. I don't have a green thumb at all, but the plants that I got are thriving. I'll definitely be back!

Quaint little plant shop with a variety of common to rare plants!! I've been looking to explore more plant nurseries than big box stores and Hallowed Ground had a good variety at reasonable prices. For anyone who's looking for Thai constellations, they have them here!! While I was here, there was also a sale rack for plants and other items. I ended up picking up a peperomia from the sale rack and hope to bring some new life into her!

Wish I could give more than 5 stars! Wish I'd known about this place much sooner! If ever there was a store where I wanted to buy everything, it's this one. There are tons of plants (as expected) and plant accoutrements, but there are also plant accessories, tchotchkes, and a host of other delightful and enticing items! It smells like a dream in there, and I was absolutely taken with the venue, which I believe used to be a church. The staff there were super people and made my shopping excursion that much better. I made out with a 4in fittonia and a mini plant I can't recall the name of offhand, plus a skull planter and a pretty dragonfly plant accessory. About $35 for the whole load and I am pleased with my purchases. Yes, I'll be back, sooner than later! Loved ALL the things!!!

We attempted to remove some ourselves but were quickly overwhelmed by the task. I researched native plant landscapers and came across Swamp Rose Co-op. After reaching out, Jeff, one of the owners, came to do a site visit. He was thorough in his presentation of plans and this February we had them come and do bamboo removal and plant some native trees and shrubs to act as a privacy screen. The Swamp Rose team was amazing! They pulled out over 2 tons of bamboo and roots! They planted native trees and shrubs which are thriving. Our backyard woodland meadow dreams are coming true. We have the team coming back in a few weeks to rip out the standard plants seen in the Silver Spring area (liriope, lilies, weeds) to replace with a native garden and we can't wait. One of my favorite aspects of this company is it is a co-op. The employees can be owners, and those who aren't are still paid a living wage as calculated by the MIT living wage calculator. They do excellent work! It is hard to find a native landscaper but this team is fantastic.

But no! WE are to call them, THEY determine delivery without letting you know and said they don't contact customer because they have too many deliveries, but they have an arranged delivery date! You know who else is busy but calls?! Mulch companies! So do car repair businesses, so do many companies that deliver anything, so do Doctors and Dentists. Sun wants to risk us being home? They want to chance leaving a very expensive tree in our front yard BY the road, since this is the final destination. They are not too busy to SELL the tree, but don't ask for any other customer service.

It's a large warehouse style store with bulk bags of almost everything for almost every animal. They have birdseed, horse feed, wood chips, hay, and other supplies of every sort. They have an old country store feel, complete with a shelf of assorted jams and sauces for sale. I love their convenience, right up from Ellicott City's Main Street (the same road technically) and close to the Route 40/29 interchange. You can browse around the place, but I've never done anything more than walk up to the counter, describe what I need, pay for it and momentarily someone wheels it out and loads it into my car. I do have to deduct a star for their banker's hours. They close at five on weekdays and are not open on Sundays, so you have to plan your trips accordingly.

As I was packing for our East Coast adventure, I was thinking fall weather clothing: boots, beanies, light jackets.....oh but on our last two days, mother nature said NOPE, I am bringing the heat! It was hot and we were slightly dying, as we passed Sweet Elizabeth Jane, not only was their storefront display soooo cute, but we could feel the AC blasting when we passed by. Seriously, this was the reason why we went in. Not knowing what to expect, I was surprised. The store was two floors, but not only did it have the cute souvenirs and Christmas decor that was visible as we passed by, but it had cute clothes and accessories. What a gem of a store....it was boutique plus, plus!!! This store has my heart. It was hard to narrow down my shopping since I had to be mindful that I had a carry on and personal item to travel back home. I couldn't resist and decided to purchase items and just ship them to myself back home. I bought a shawl/jacket in the most wonderful Olive Green color that is perfect for walking and driving in. I also got the softest scarf. Customer service was top notch. I saw this scarf on display on a mannequin and I asked if it came in different colors and they went to go look since I am not a big fan of the browns in my attire choices. I got a gray/black combo scarf. Since we had cooled down significantly as we were shopping, we got hungry and asked if we could place the items on hold since we didn't want to carry our purchases until the end of our exploration and headed back to the car. I gave them my name, they placed the items on hold and we went to eat. When we came back, the store associate remembered my name and that our items were on hold. She also told me that they have a website with many items for sale from their actual sales floor that could be shipped and proceeded to tell me how the store got started. She wrapped the items with care and off we were. Prices are completely reasonable for a store of this caliber. This store could easily fit into the vibe of Stanford Shopping Center, Santana Row, downtown Carmel, etc.....but I KNOW that this place will blow any rivals strictly due to their fair pricing, storefront size and their unique items. Thank you, thank you for existing!! ::hearts::
