What a cute spot! Me and a couple of girlfriends wanting to try something different went in on a Saturday morning to take a Mind-Body Movement class. These classes are offered every other Saturday and on the opposite Saturdays there are Pilates classes. Tickets are purchased in advance on their website from the events calendar. After we finished the class we walked around the space checking it out and the owner Quincy took us on a tour. It's quite beautiful. There are plants and accessories, curated artwork for purchase, a bar for cocktails or wine, areas to sit and work or socialize. There are also private rooms that can be rented out and you can also rent out the entire space for events. Today there was a house music day party happening. And on the 4th Saturdays there's an evening house music party. They also have a monthly supperclub called The Long Table and many other events. I'm glad we went. It's worth checking out one of the many offerings or just stop in and shop and visit. read more

I have been wanting to visit this spot for a while, and I finally went with a group of my friends for our book club. The venue is really really big for events so they were really gracious to host our little group. They do close at 9 PM which is nice. it's a plant shop that also has alcohol. It's about $15 for a glass of wine (tax and tip) and I think their bottles are a really good deal for a large group. Their NA options were OK. I wish they had more variety but you can tell they give their plants a lot of love. The staff was really gracious to host a really large group. I will say the location is really hard and parking can be a challenge, but during the weekday I was able to get parking really close by. read more

I stopped in looking for an organic potting soil mix, and although they were out at the time, I still had a great experience. Quincy, the store owner, took the time to show me around the beautifully decorated space and shared details about upcoming classes and events at the shop. The customer service was excellent- friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. The store itself is clean, warm, and inviting. I'll definitely be back and look forward to attending an event in the future! I ended up leaving with a philodendron, which I felt was appropriately priced for the size of the plant. read more

I came in for the first time for a Pilates class and Stem and Vine is super cute!! It was nice and warm inside with a great charm and vibe. The plants all looked very healthy and there are a LOT of plants in here. They carry various brands of wine, including Black Girl Magic wine. I enjoy being able to visit Black owned businesses and this one might be one of my new favorites. Back to the Pilates class. The owner was around of course and was very nice, while giving us space to take our class. The place is currently decorated for the holidays and looks lovely. It's nice and warm inside while also being very neat and organized. I love the dark wood that is used throughout the space from the flooring to the cabinets. The humidity levels aren't overbearing but the plants are clearly thriving in here. I saw some monsteras, golden pothos, fiddle leaf, etc. It's amazing seeing the variety of plants they have in here. You can tell so much love goes into the care of these plants. read more

So my book club was looking for a space to host our most recent event, it was just a few of us so we just showed up to stem and vine thinking we'd grab a table and some drinks. Well Quincy was more than welcoming! He made sure we were set, made some amazing cocktails and even asked us how the chat was going. It went so well he invited us back to use the space next month. I loved their inventive cocktail menu and even though i'm not a huge plant person I still managed to walk away with a purchase. I finally made it over to Stem & Vine for their bubbles and blooms event. This is an event that teaches you how to make your own flower bouquet. The owner was our instructor and she was a gem! Her energy was so bright and she gave us the best tips and tricks for putting together and maintaining our bouquets. Not to mention, this plant shop is Black owned! It's such a lovely space and I'm so happy I was able to attend. I will definitely visit again for their other events. read more

This is one of the most lovely places I've been to in Baltimore, I swear. Imagine tons of windows providing for a light filled space housing a huge variety of obviously healthy and thriving plants (it made me ashamed of my pitiful little plants, lol). Additionally there is a bar at the back of the venue and a bunch of original works of art for sale. The proprietor was super nice and knowledgeable about all the plants and art available (as he should be!). The plants seemed reasonably priced, cheaper than what I've seen at my local Ace Hardware for less impressive plants. Overall, I liked the vibe at Stem and Vine immensely. I don't have the lighting nor room for more plants at my house, but I wouldn't mind a glass of wine and enjoying luscious plants at Stem and Vine. =) read more

Super eclectic plant shop. The owner was inviting and knowledgeable. He was able to diagnose the issues I was having with my houseplants without even seeing a picture of them. Lovely space and sweet vibes. When I visited there were two very engaging African American women sharing the highlights of their 3 week trip to Asia. That said, as an African American woman and native Baltimorean who is fairly well traveled and committed to supporting Black owned businesses, I must share that this is the second time I have been unable to have a Negroni due to the fact that their bar was lacking Campari. FYI: Campari is an Italian aperitif invented in 1860. The only other time was in a similar establishment (also Black owned, in PG County MD). As a retired university educator, I know that " people don't know what they don't know". Nonetheless, as cocktails go, a Negroni is a classic, on the same level as a martini or a Manhattan, etc., and it cannot be made without Campari! So, I strongly suggest that, in addition to keeping Campari on hand, the owners should acquire a classic cocktail guide , such as "Mr. Boston Official Bartender's Guide". BTW: I settled for a martini made with a Japanese lychee vodka. It was typically overpriced and mediocre, but the bartender was nice! Just my two cents, but if the bar was better stocked and more reasonably priced (they charge $12 for a glass of wine and $14 for cocktails) the place might attract more customers, and particularly men; other than the owner & the bartender, tonight there was one man there ( with his woman). All in all, a lovely establishment, yet lacking a certain savoir faire. read more
