My wife was looking for some native plants to plant in our yard. Poor Boy's Garden Center had quite…read morea collection of these. What I liked: *Huge selection. We easily spent almost an hour walking looking through their various offerings *Great information. The plants had thorough written descriptions with them that allowed us to know exactly what we were getting. *Competitive pricing. I didn't feel like the prices were any more (or less) than other garden spots we've visited. *The koi pond. My kids were along and they were entertained by the koi pond. This helped as we weren't constantly hearing "I'm bored" as we were trying to make final decisions. All in all, very pleased with our experience at Poor Boy's Garden Center.

As long as I've lived in the Parkville area, I've never thought to check out Poor Boy's. However,…read morewith my recent garden obsession I decided to pay them a visit to see what they had in stock. I was blown away with the selection of house plants and all of themat a very good price too. Considering the astronomical price tag that some plants have today. For $9.99, I couldn't leave without buying a new plant. Poor Boys has all of your needs to tend to your plants and garden. From soil and neem oil to planter pots and worm castings. They carried a good selection of annual and perennial plants for your garden as well as a smaller selection of herbs, greens, and lettuce, given the major gardening season is starting to come to an end. They even had different types of fruit trees with fruit already on the limbs. The young guy working in the garden center was really nice and answered the various questions I had. He even helped me bring my items to the car. If you've got a green thumb and are in need of some new house plants or new items for your garden, then definitely give Poor Boy a visit.

I glanced and saw it was at another employee, and he quickly said that he was listening. But he wasn't because I was already done with my explanation. Then the phone rang and a cashier told him the call was for him. He picked up the phone and began talking with them! The employees here have NEVER been helpful and most are downright rude. I am not the only one who knows this to be true.

Someone came back to help, the only part of his name I could see was Al. He said he could cut the plywood and then the 2x6 was a different saw. When we pulled the plywood off the cart for him (small piece, not full size) he measured it then said it would have to be cut at the other saw and he asked us to follow him. He then proceeded to take off and we were left once again looking for help. Collin was spotting a forklift and stopped to help us out. He was incredibly friendly and accommodating while empathizing for what happened with the previous guy. This Home Depot is the one that has the things we need but when it comes to asking someone for help, stay away.
