So many options. Great prices. Nice accidental surprise coming back from Rocks State Park.

Don't waste your time or money at Greenspring Nursery. My wife and I purchased flagstone from them…read moreon September 5, 2021 and paid for delivery. We gave them the dimensions of the patio area we were trying to cover and they told us that 1 pallet would not be enough, we would need 2. Our first clue to walk away should have been when we asked if they offloaded it with a fork lift and they said "no we just dump it out of the truck". We questioned that right away and we're assured that "we do it that way all the time, you might have 1 or 2 pieces break, but it will be fine". Well when they did deliver it on the 9th it was not fine. The full extend of the damage would not be realized until several days later when we had time to cut the banding that did survive the drop. There was not a large piece in the pallet that was unbroken. Since we were doing the project ourselves it took some time to sift through what we're now smaller pieces of flagstone and get everything laid out, so the project ended up rolling into the spring. I called Greenspring earlier today to see if we could return what ended up being almost a pallet of unused flagstone (Yes they sold us WAY to much). Joann was exasperated that I had waited a year and told me they don't take stone back. So my wife and I dug up our receipt and pictures of the botched delivery and stopped by to see what we could work out. We pulled up just before closing time and Between Joann and 2 other people who were sitting outside the office (I'm assuming the owners by the way Joann addressed them) after a polite conversation and staring at the pictures, of how the stone was delivered, simply pointed to the fine print on the bottom of the receipt and said "it says right there we don't take stone back, especially from a whole year ago" Now mind you we never asked for a full refund, a partial refund or even discussed money. I would have been happy to get a few hundred dollars of the $2500 we spent back, but at the end of the day, I would have been happy just to get the piles of broken flagstone out of my driveway. THEY ARE IN THE BUSINESS OF SELLING STONE! They could have easily put the piles of it with the rest of the flagstone they sell, sold it and turned a profit, but nope, "We don't take stone back"... So I guess shame on me for not wanting to raise a fuss before we were done with our project...Bottom line for me, I will never go back there for anything...There are much more reputable places that sell better quality mulch, decorative stone and plants in the area with people who are WAY more friendly to deal with. I just wish I would have found them before we bought flagstone from Greenspring...

We were pretty clueless on planting trees and what kinds of trees were available. We pulled up to Greenspring and were very grateful for the help of Allison. She was so extremely knowledgeable about all of the trees and plants in the area. She knew how big they would get, how much water they needed and even helped us pick out a rock to affix the memorial plaque too. Everyone at the nursery was extremely pleasant and easy to work with. I definitely will be recommending Greenspring to my family and friends.
