He told me they were big ones at the top of the hill. I asked where could I park. As though I irritated him, he pointed and yelled get out and walk up the hill. By. The time I did he had gotten in a car and driven off. I went to look for the gardenia. Did not find them after asking two other "workers." I walked back to car to see one of the first two guys. He asked did I find what I was looking for. I told him no. He said other guy sent me to hydrangea not " little white flowers that smell good." We walked down the hill to 5th or 6th building down the hill. He pulled out two medium potted plants with no blossoms. I asked how much. He told me to take to the office for price. No offer of a cart, no offer to carry. No let me call on the radio. So I lugg the plant back up to the office. When I get there the guy inside is finishing a sale. No greeting. No how may I help. NOTHING. At this point I should have gotten in my car and driven directly to the blue or orange store. When he finished I asked how much the gardenia was. I he said "30." After looking past me at the plant to say this and turned and went back to the register. I purchased it. Shame on me. After I got home I checked my account. $37.10 Horrible service and overcharged. The smaller trees beside the dead ones in the photo were purchased from Greenspring Nursery and planted ourselves within three days of the ones from Hemphill's, and they are thriving. When I contacted Hemphill's, I was told they don't warrant their plants unless they do the planting (a fact that was not disclosed to me at the time of purchase). Avoid this place and go to Greenspring instead; I've since purchased several other plants from them and all are healthy and doing well.

We ended up purchasing 30+ shrubs and trees (a good bit of money) and one of the plants died within two weeks of planting - it was the same as three others, all planted in the same place, same watering, and same sun exposure. We called to ask if we could have this one plant replaced as this clearly was a plant issue vs. a care issue (matter of fact all other plants are thriving) the manager Todd said he would not guarantee his plants, said this was a care issue, and then hung up on my wife.
