I have been Donating Blood Products for over 10 years. I have never been so disrespected by a company like B-Positive. If I had seen these reviews first, I would never have walked in. The Philly Cheltenham location. Is run by black people. Some are as nice as could be, the other ones, are nasty. They could care less, if I and or, another white person, needed something. I was their in the middle of August 2025, the one sticker, had 5 to 6 bad sticks. I was also one of them. If you complain about what was going on, they would disrespect the donor like me and others. If I could buy the company, I would close it. Today, is my last day with them, I got another bad stick and there was more than me, that had been given a bad stick. They were trying to blame us donors. I left giving them 2/3 of 880 ml.. I told them they can keep the money, because I wasn't returning. Castor avenue office has been much better since new management. Still need a lil more help with bathrooms,. The bathroom doors either doesn't lock or is hard to lock. Staff is very pleasant, the front desk needs help with greeting those entertaining the building. We (donors) don't appreciate they lowered their fees. However, we appreciate you being here. I went 18 times and out of the 18 times I was treated very weird. I was talked down to in front of the other clients as if I did something wrong on my 18th visit and they stuck the needles in wrong. I watched them then I had to give 88 out of 100 and only got paid $45 for my second visit and got a good swelling in my arm and a bruise and it's still burning. I found them very rude. The people that work there but sad there are some good people that work there. they acted as if it was no big deal and it was working when the lady that started my donation up, put it in and it got to 30 something and went into return and it said higher return intake so the other nurse came over and messed with the needle, and after that I had problems and had to be stuck three times I'm appalled, I didn't get all my blood back or saline and it worked at first so hrm? read more

Donating plasma at this company has been nothing short of a horrific experience. I found them to be nothing short of a very nasty company, at least in the Cherry Hill location. When they do wrong and it's brought to their attention, you will see that they NEVER make ANY apologies for ANYTHING they do, (excuse me....one apology and it certainly wasn't sincere, and I had just been lied to) they cover up for each other to absolutely no end, they have a way of "bullying" you in meetings with their center manager, Melissa. Oh........and in each "meeting" she was sure to bring any Tom, Dick or Harry among their employees in with her with you being stuck totally alone. I have gone from being cursed out with the name of Jesus Christ being used TWO TIMES in ONE MINUTE from one of their so called nurses after being asked if she can raise a chair for me, (and again, NO APOLOGY) and the list goes on and on and on and on. They MAY pay slightly more than other places, but rest assured there has been a major price to pay. This center totally belittled me on my very first visit, when looking back, I know I should have left them right then and there, to nothing but problem after problem after problem, and don't even TRY to bring ANY of this to their attention.........it is useless. Not a spec of customer service skills did I see, professionalism (WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A SELECT FEW WHO WERE VERY GOOD), respect or decency. Oh..............and be sure NEVER to call them out on anything..........you may get a "final talk" so you'll be told by the manager that she "better not hear anything else from you." Tread lightly. These people are not professional and have absolutely no training whatsoever. They tried to put my blood back and completely missed my vein. My arm was completely black and blue took over a month to heal I could barely use my arm I was in excruciating pain and they never paid me for my attempted donation after they did this to me they did not compensate me for my time lost at work and my pain and suffering. I used to go here a few years ago before I moved and now I'm back and thought I'd see if it was still here...but after reading these reviews it makes sense why I was turned away after everything had been going good. So petty and kind of a lame reason, but since they get so many applicants it doesn't surprise me they would try to thin the herd. I went in for a regular donation, and one of the newbies focused on an ever so slight skin irritation I had on my arm... then this dude named Ben stepped in and told me to have it checked by a doctor and sent me away. This place is a rip-off. Took my temperature with a digital thermometer before I left home and it was 98.5F. When I got there they told me it was 100.1F and turned me away. When I got home I took it again and it said 98.3F. THAT WAS A REALLY FAST BUG! Used to go to a donation center in another state for a year and never once got deferred. Here, it happens at least three times a month. I wondered why, but then I realized that with the pricing plan they offer if you get deferred enough you don't get your monthly bonus and they pay a LOT less per liter of plasma. read more

But over the winter I had the tragedy of Foreman the ice-breaking three of my ribs and end up in the hospital for two weeks with pneumonia when I went back to make my donation after being better healthy they told me I could make donations no more because I didn't tell them that I COPD which I never knew I had until I was in the hospital very unprofessional it's all about $$$$$ there. Not a bad place. Went for my first donation yesterday and the nurses that I dealt with all were very sweet. The front desk staff were the complete opposite but you don't have to deal with them much. Screening is very thorough, but if you pass all the criteria the donation is simple. Get paid for good quality plasma and can leave. read more

After reading the reviews on here, I was a little skeptical about going. I figured I would go check them out first hand and see what I thought. Being in a financial bind and being in a position to help others was a win-win in my mind, so I went. I was surprised at how clean it was there. There was a little smell in the air but after checking out the bathroom which was very clean, I was convinced this was a good place to be. I think the bathroom says a lot about a place and if that's clean then I can assure myself other important areas are clean as well. Staff was very friendly and helpful. After filling out my computer screening questionnaire, I was seen rather quickly, within 15 mins. Unfortunately I was turned away this visit since my eye was still healing from an injury. I think that said a lot too being that they cared and didn't want to risk taking plasma from me with my eye still in the healing process. I'll definitely be back once my eye heals 100%. read more

I've been donating plasma at this location since February 2019 without a problem. Last week Aug 07 2019, after a small disagreement with the staff over what they called a " bruise ' and I call a skin discoloration on my elbows, I was told that since I'm handicapped and need to walk with a cane I can no longer donate because according to them I could fall over at any moment. I asked where this was written because it wasn't in the requirements to donate and nobody said anything to me for the last 5 months about this. And I was told that they can just decide that whenever they want. Now I've been going there twice a week, every week for 5 months, and now they tell me this. I spoke to the medical director over the phone and told them that if they think I can fall at any point then I could use a walker or wheelchair to make sure that there is zero chance I could fall if it will put them at ease, and was told that those items were not allowed. I then got a call back from them a few days later from one of their nurses and was told that if I wanted to donate again, I would not be able to use my cane while I was there, which would raise the odds of me falling greatly. So it would seem that they discriminate against handicapped people, and lie about it right to my face. Don't go there if your handicapped because they don't want you. read more
