He fabbed the tank so it looks stock on the bike. The bike originally had a plastic tank. The 3rd one in its life because they always split. Now with the metal tank, all is good. It turns out Brian discovered something far more serious--a bolt from the carburetor had fallen into the piston cylinder of the forward jug, which is what seized up my engine. Thankfully, Brian not only found the problem, but because of his respected relationship with the company that had previously done the top-end work and carburetor calibration, he was able to show them their mistake. As a result, the repairs were covered under warranty.
