WORST HAIRCUT EVER. DO NOT GO. WISH I COULD GIVE IT NO STARS. I got a Groupon for B.co Salon a few days ago and I thought, more than half-off for a haircut, why not? I did some research and all the reviews were positive. Granted, I did read the testimonial section of the website, so to be fair, there probably weren't going to be any negative reviews in the first place. Boy, was I wrong. I made an appointment a few days ago and then on the day before my appointment Boris called me and told me that I was late when in fact I wasn't. I, explicitly, said to make my appointment on (insert day of the week here), September (insert # here) at (insert time here). He said okay, repeated the date to me, and then we hung up. When Boris called and said that I was late, he was not polite about it. He was very passive aggressive as if I had made the mistake when in fact I didn't. That should have been a sign, but instead I politely apologized for the confusion and said I'd see him the next day. When I got to the salon, I greeted him by holding out my hand, saying hello and telling him my name. He did not shake my hand nor did he introduce himself. He made no effort at pleasantries. Sign number two that I should have left right then. Once seated, I told him that I'd just like my bangs recut and four inches. He started cutting, silently, no small talk, and then suddenly said that I had thick hair and proceeded to describe to me a style that he thought would look good on me. He said that he would thin out the hair on the bottom and lighten the hair on top. I took this to mean just a lot of layering which was fine and I agreed. He took out a razor, not my favorite, but I was sort of intimidated so I didn't say anything, and he proceeded to give me a half mullet, half bob look by cutting off six inches. Not what I wanted at all. I think I was in shock by the end because all of my hair was gone ( and not in a good way). Boris refuses to give me a refund for a haircut I did not want because according to him I agreed to this cut, which I didn't. I agreed to what he described, something we pictured differently. I have chunks of hair missing everywhere, one side is shorter than the other, and because of the razor, I already have split ends. Also, Boris claims that he talks to clients about their life to see what sort of person they are before he recommends a style. He did no such thing. In fact, he cut my hair in complete silence. Today, I got my hair re-cut into a short bob, not the look I initially wanted, and the stylist I went to was as upset as I am. She said that she's going to look him up and talk to him about my haircut and how he gives stylists a bad name. Now, I've already spent around $50 on a haircut I didn't want and will probably have to spend $400 more in order to get a haircut that reflects my personality because the first one made me look very edgy, not me at all, and the second was a wonderful attempt (go to Colours Salon and ask for Rachel in Timonium) to fix it. So, all in all, I've learned my lesson about B.co Salon and hopefully this is a clear warning for everyone else to stay away! read more

The perfect haircut! Boris is amazingly professional. He knows exactly what you need to look perfect, even if you don't know it yourself. The first time I went to see Boris, I had absolutely no idea what to do with my hair -I just wanted to look great-, but he knew exactly what to do. He asked me a few questions about myself (occupation, how much time I was willing to spend on my hair at home -which is virtually zero-, hobbies, etc), then looked at my face, and... "voilà", the magic started... At the end of my visit, I looked even better than I could ever imagine! Since then, I don't let anybody touch my hair but him, and I follow (and will follow) him wherever he goes (he is now working at 6245 Falls Road). He recently gave me a new wonderful, very stylish haircut, and I have received non-stop compliments since then. If you want to look perfect, just visit Boris. He is a real genius! read more

Wow is all I can say!!! Boris listened carefully to my haircut preferences, and we discussed the way we both thought my hair would look best. I appreciated how he asked me questions as to how I usually wear my hair, how much time in the day I take to style it, and what hair treatments, if any, I use. Boris not only took into consideration way my hair was going to look right after I stepped out of the salon, but also the way in which it would look best every day going forward, taking into account my busy lifestyle. He was extremely easy to talk to, and did an amazing job with my haircut. I love the results and will DEFINITELY be back again. I recommend Boris to anybody! read more

I got the groupon for B. co salon and I can only give an EXCELLENT review. Boris is very polite, took his time, and did a wonderful job. I didn't have an exact vision of what I wanted, but Boris talked to me about my life and actively listened. I left with my best haircut and style ever! My friends gave me many compliments. I could not stop smiling all thanks to Boris! I don't have a set stylist, and usually only get a trim at random salons because no one could measure up to this stylist I met in Spain. Boris is cutting my hair on and off for over 10 years, and I assure you will love his work! I had to go to other hair stylists when he changed hair salons because it was too far from my place. Though, then, I became one of the people who goes from one hair salon to another because I just was never quite happy with their work. Boris really works with your hair, take his time, and do magic :). Really, he is more an artist. Wow! The attention and care I got from Boris when I got my hair cut is something that I have yet to match. I gave him free reign to do something with my hair. Usually, when I tell a stylist to do SOMETHING--ANYTHING--BE DARING-, I end up with the "angled bob" style that's so BORING. Boris looked at my hair, saw how it fell, and cut a daring, and unique hair style that worked with my hair. Not only did he do a fabulous job, all of my colleagues wanted my hair cut! Boris of B. Co. Salon is amazing. And real hair artist. He has a great eye for what looks good and what doesn't. Sometimes I ask for a specific cut and sometimes I let him have free reign. Either way, I always walk out of there looking and feeling amazing. His cuts are the best I've ever had. And he's a master at color. And in over 10 years, I've rarely waited Aaron all. I was able to get an appointment right away with Boris to fix an uneven cut from another salon. He did a great job with cut and color for naturally curly hair. It's hard to find someone who understands curly hair, but Boris did a great job of shaping it so that it dried nicely. B Co Salon stylist, Boris is truly amazing. He is a progressive stylist and pure genius when it comes to color. I have the worst hair , very thick and coarse, and he is the only stylist that gets it. I had a corrective hair cut by Boris after a terrible experience at Salon Craft. Anyone can take a pair of scissors and chop hair, but it takes experience , care and some artistry to make the hair look good no matter what the texture. length, color etc might be and Boris can make that happen. read more

As a new customer I was apprehensive at first. But Boris is an artist and gave me the best most becoming haircut I've had in years. He's a nice guy and a talented hair stylist.
