My entire family now has our haircut by Dani at Soiree. Originally it was just my wife. Then my…read morekids. Finally I got on board as well. My original draw to Soiree? I missed the head massage and hot towel treatment I used to get at the Aveda Salon I frequented in Florida. My first salon experiences in this area incorporated lukewarm hair washing water and no head massage. I couldn't do it anymore. Soiree knocks the hair washing service out of the park. They have their own crew completely responsible for washing hair, massaging scalps and providing hot towel treatments. My daughter likes it so much that one time I was having my hair taken care of, she just asked if she could have hers washed. They fit her in right in. You best believe there is no lukewarm water here. My haircuts themselves are also top notch. Dani is really good at her job. Not only with the actual cutting and attention to detail with my hair but also with the conversation. I am always sad when the haircut is over. It all goes too quickly. Scheduling and rescheduling appointments is super easy. They send text reminders so that I am never surprised when it pops up on my calendar. I look forward to my visits to Soiree. I know my family feels the same way.

The facility is in a building that appears to have been a house at one time, but it was cozy. I had to go upstairs for my haircut. For those that may have problems with stairs, they may have rooms downstairs on the main floor. My simple man's haircut was $30 alone. Gratuity is typically 20% so by the time I got a simple haircut it cost me $36. Gratuity must be paid in cash or Venmo. You may use credit cards for the actual service. After further review of my haircut, I noticed that I had a "shelf" where it should've been tapered smoothly. I was able to fix it myself at home. I have been to a smaller barber shop in the area that cost with gratuity only $20. I will likely go back to that barber shop. I cannot attest to how well The Salon on Main performs female hairstyles.

I was horribly treated by the manager at La Clinica, Jayne Gary. I have gone to La Clinica a few…read moretimes for facial electrolysis treatments related to my side effects from previous endocrine therapy for breast cancer. Due to these medical reasons, I submitted claims for the electrolysis to my health insurance company, who has reimbursed me in the past for electrolysis that I received from another provider. In order to submit my claims for La Clinica, I just needed Jayne to sign a simple form, but, for some reason, she went out of her way to inconvenience and alienate me when I made this minor request. In a hostile and exasperated way, Jayne told me that she doesn't like dealing with insurance companies, and she wouldn't give me the necessary information for a claim (such as a tax ID number) until I insisted on it. I even had to help her understand the difference between a tax ID number and a state license number, as she apparently didn't know this. In addition, Jayne aggressively questioned me about my cancer treatment, and I had to send her a letter from my oncologist verifying my cancer-related need for electrolysis. On top of that, my oncology social worker needed to call Jayne on the phone and explain the situation. I have been to other electrologists in the past, and none of them made these weird requests of me. I don't know what Jayne's agenda is. Jayne's behavior was especially weird given that I paid her for the services in full, and I was just taking steps to get reimbursements from my insurance. It was very unclear why she feels so uncomfortable with insurance forms, and why she is so resistant to being helpful. It appeared that she was going out of her way to alienate me. I would caution anyone against going to La Clinica, but especially anyone who is seeking treatments for medical reasons. The last thing that a person with a serious health problem needs is the added stress of interacting with someone like Jayne.
