Honestly, this place has changed drastically since the new ownership took over. The overall atmosphere and sense of community that once made it feel welcoming have shifted in a way that's disappointing, the owner Matthew Monroe Bees should be ashamed of himself for this new direction. What used to feel like a safe and enjoyable space to relax and support performers no longer feels the same. It's especially concerning to see performers being treated in ways that feel punitive rather than supportive. Attempts to "fix" something that wasn't broken have altered the character of the establishment in ways that many longtime patrons notice. I truly hope ownership takes time to reflect and consider restoring the spirit and inclusivity that originally made this place special. read more

A little color in Mobile, B-Bob's is a great place for a drop in and on a good night a decent drag show! The drinks are nice and strong that almost let you forget that there is no food served so it's a good after dinner spot. Don't forget to tip your bartenders and come ready to show your appreciation to the ladies there to entertain. read more

Went to B Bobs for Halloween as my bestie was performing in the drag show. I have to say I was beyond shocked at this bar as I haven't ever been to mobile but definitely plan on going back to hit it up sometime. The place is massive with three floors and a decent size dance floor. Outside has a nice deck and upper deck for vaping and smoking and the main floor is large as well and more chill vibes. I attended a birthday party + drag show at B-Bob's and had an absolute blast! The DJ is everything, and my Shazam app couldn't keep up with all the hits! I love that the stage is arranged to offer many views and there's really not a bad seat in the house. I love that the windows upstairs open for added ventilation. The performers are entertaining and put on a good show. Jerry, at the bar, is a master mixer! I truly enjoyed my inaugural B-Bob's visit! read more

For a Saturday night, it was a very weird crowd. The dance floor didn't get full until 11:30, right before the drag show.

This is the go to place to enjoy the alternative (gay/lesbian) side of Mobile. I've been back in the area for 3 years and even having my birthday party there tonight. They have amazing entertainers and always bringing in wonderful special guest a lot who've been on RuPaul's Drag Race. I love the staff and the bartenders are sweet and can pour a mean drink. Even the front door staff is great and they've got a free coat check for the colder months. read more

Cool bar but it is DISGUSTING that you can still smoke inside. Gross! It is 2015, do NOT subject your patrons to hanging out in a smoke hole! So unbelievably disappointed in this fact. read more

This was one of the best bars I went too during my week stay in Mobile! The bartender was super sweet and made me a dreamsicle! They were playing Bingo and passing out prizes! Free shots at the end of every Bingo game! It was awesome! I made some great friends there! read more

I have gone to B-Bobs off and on for the last few years and no matter how long it's been since my Partner and I go the scenes, sounds, attitudes are always the same. Beyond a doubt I've witnessed some pretty cool djs- I only feel that a change in music may allow more of a " dance environment". I've noticed that during Drag Shows the crowd seems to dance and party more. Though I love the house music, I think the crowd would enjoy themselves more if there was a mixture of music being played. It's terrible to watch people just stand around when there is so much space to enjoy!!! Change the music, make it more universal and I'm certain the crowd will enjoy it more. BTW the Bartenders are always cool and so are the cocktails- I think the Owner Guy should be more involved and acknowledge his patrons-he never speaks and is never heard. Make a change BBobs cast new Performers, make your shows something people don't want to miss and not what they've seen over and over again. I Love the place, I'd just like to see more activity within. read more
