The new kid on the block which recently opened within one of the previously empty units next to Tesco Linwood, .
With a "sister" B&M store not far away in the Phoenix retail park Linwood/Paisley (not far from ASDA) I was wondering what the difference was?
Compared to other B&M's I've visited, this is a lot brighter store, with almost an old style supermarket feel, except that the shelves are stacked as high as possible with goods, presumably because it's just opened it's doors.
The rang is pretty much the same range as the other B&Ms I've visited, just in a smaller space.
Unlike it's nearest "sister" store it doesn't have an outdoor garden section or a furniture section, but apart from that, it stocks most of the same items at prices that challenge the big supermarkets in the area.
As long as you're a smart shopper and watch out for the odd price that is just that little bit more expensive that the usual, it's worth a visit to stock up on the odd item or two.
My only gripe with this store is the automatic doors which, despite being brand new, take an age to open. This may put some people off going in and others frustrated as they try to leave, for me (being a quick walker) it meant that I had to stop myself from going head first into them only to realise, taking a step back and then standing like a security guard during a Black Friday sale, whilst they eventualy opened. read more
