As a homeowner, discovering that your living space has elevated radon levels is a daunting realization. Radon Testing and Mitigation Inc. not only provided the peace of mind I needed but also delivered a service that was as effective as it was efficient. Their team, comprised of knowledgeable and courteous professionals, took the time to educate me about radon, the risks, the mitigation process, and what I could expect every step of the way. They demonstrated a genuine commitment to health and safety, which was reassuring and highly appreciated. The testing phase was conducted with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that the data collected was accurate and reliable. Their technicians were punctual, respectful of my property, and very thorough in their work. They answered all of my questions and provided clear, concise explanations about the testing results. Once the need for mitigation was confirmed, Radon Testing and Mitigation Inc. presented me with a clear plan of action. Their proposal was detailed, outlining the custom solutions they recommended for my home. They offered a transparent pricing structure, with no hidden fees, which allowed me to make an informed decision without any pressure. The installation of the mitigation system was seamless. The technicians arrived on time, worked diligently, and completed the job within the estimated timeframe. They left the work area cleaner than when they arrived, which speaks volumes about their professionalism. The results speak for themselves. Post-mitigation tests revealed that the radon levels in my home were reduced significantly, well below the EPA's action level. the peace of mind that comes with knowing my indoor environment is safe is invaluable. Furthermore, their follow-up after the service was exemplary, ensuring that I was satisfied and that the system was functioning correctly. The warranty and guarantee they provided on their work reflected the confidence and pride they have in their service--and rightly so. Radon Testing and Mitigation Inc. has not only met but exceeded my expectations in every regard. They have turned a potentially stressful situation into a positive experience. For their expertise, professionalism, and dedication to customer satisfaction, I wholeheartedly give them a five-star review and recommend them to anyone needing radon testing or mitigation services. I was only looking at guarantee levels, professionalism, responsiveness, and a host of other factors. During the process, I couldn't find a more professional and responsive group, although the communications was a little sporadic. They definitely overcame that with their professionalism. They diligently worked with me in an attempt to have the indoor install outlet in the back of the house. Unfortunately, the design of my home was not going to allow that, so definitely no fault of them. Once the install plan was set, the crew set to install. Again, they came out and was very professional and did everything in a timely fashion. I was comfortable with my decision after they left. That feeling remained until recently when radon readings were above guaranteed levels. These readings came from a certified laboratory calibrated device against a known sample. I have certificate of proof. They are refusing to honor their guarantee because they want a certified technician to get the reading... what's so special? He'll use a calibrated device to do the readings... the same requirement of the device I'm using. (Compare that with my neighbor who bought a battery operated reader from Amazon and those reading got his radon mitigator back to honor their guarantee). I'm not expecting something for nothing, but one calibrated device is as good as another (hence the term "calibrated") and they are refusing to honor their guarantee using a certified laboratory calibrated device. Now I have to needlessly spend more money for someone else to use another calibrated device. How many times with this happen. It's only been 2-3 months and I've already need them to do more work to get to guarantee levels. Spending more money every few months needlessly does not look like a promising outlook. I regret my decision. UPDATE: You asked for a certified test, I gave you one. As I so eloquently pointed out previously, my device is laboratory calibrated and certified, the same as yours. I even gave you the certificate demonstrating as such. Regardless, a mere 45 minutes after posting this, I got a call from the office manager. She's always been very nice, even when dismissing a certified calibrated device that you claim you wants results from. As it stands, she offered to send someone out to do a testing for me? Can you guess what the results were? [insert pause here for dramatic effect] A) the results were higher than the established threshold, and B) the results matched my certified calibrated device. [Raise your hand if you saw that coming. ‍] After the readings, Tyler made some adjustments and we currently are awaiting the results to see how they play out. As it stands, I'm not asking for anything approaching your exception to the HOA President. It's obvious he didn't have a calibrated device. I wouldn't have a leg to stand in if that were the case. However, it's painfully obvious that because my certified laboratory calibrated device is different than what you're accustomed to, it doesn't invalidate its readings, as they were the same as the device you used and are familiar with. (They both sat approximately 2 feet from one another when both were present) Like I told Tyler, I'm also not like chicken little and screaming for repairs on a single high reading or one that's barely over the thread hold. I just feel that the dismissal was a knee-jerk reaction to your previous experience and because you're unfamiliar with the device, it led to some trepidation. As evidenced by the test done and the results given by both devices, I hope you can see that not to be the case here.

Choosing Cook's Radon, was the easiest decision we have had to make in the multiple phases of a massive remodel / renovation on our new home (built 2002). The solution offered by Cook's Radon was thoughtfully geared toward what was best for our individual situation, safest, least intrusive, and also considered aesthetics, too, when it came to the exterior venting and motor location, and we genuinely appreciate that. Additionally, Cook's credentials and sophisticated test equipment gave them the edge. Before occupying the home, we monitored radon levels in our unfinished basement for several months with a quality detector that is able to store data long-term in graph form, and we previously saw averages in the 4-5 pCi/L range, with spikes as high as 8.0. Following the installation by Cook's, the graph numbers are like they fell off a table with averages under 1.5. Cook's knowledge, attention to detail, and friendly professionalism is head and shoulders above the other radon mitigation providers we considered. We'd gladly use Cook's Radon again with confidence, and recommend them highly. Kudos to Blake on the in-depth estimate and evaluation, and Kudos to Eli for leading on the fantastic install. They left the place spotless! Special thanks for patience & help with phone questions.

We had the system installed and did as instructed, gave the installer the check for the amount due. One and a half weeks later, two balance due invoices, and three phone calls by me to the billing department (which were not returned until I said I was going to describe our experience on social media), we still don't have a paid statement. When the individual called me today (after my email stating that our experience will be described on social media) I was told that the installer was tracked down and had been asked to put the check in the mail, and that it could be seven days before the check got to the billing department. We had to go to the bank and stop payment on the check and pay online. I'm baffled at several things: 1. How could the "largest radon mitigation system in the country" not have a better system than expecting an installer to "mail" the check to the office? I can't believe that an installer doesn't go into the office to get supplies, daily instructions, etc. Apparently not. 2. If this is their process when customers pay by check at the time of service, why do they tell you that paying the installer is a viable option? Why not just say the installer is not able to take the payment? You as the customer, either need to pay online, or mail a check yourself. 3. Why are phone calls not returned when a customer clearly has an issue, until social media reviews are indicated. 4. Why does the "largest radon mitigation in the country" not provide a paid statement with applicable details when payment is received online? Rather, you get a generic "Thanks for Your Payment" splash page with no specific details, which is not helpful at all when you need to provide evidence for the system having been installed. Now, I'll have to try to get them to reply to me in order to get the paid statement. I guess the system works fine, we don't have the re-test analysis yet to validate it. But based on customer processes & procedures and the lack of customer service response, I'm writing this unfavorable review. I have never written an unfavorable review for any organization we've worked with, but this has been a most frustrating experience. I suggest potential customers do thorough research before selecting SWAT Environmental.

When I filled out a questionnaire online they asked what the average number of the rate I told them it was in the I didn't have the rate on test at my disposal in that moment. They proceeded to book us to get a rate on mitigation system installed then arrived to my clients house and told her that she didn't need a system because doesn't warrant having one and told her that he had seen the a high four was not in need of a radon mitigation system. He never saw any report. The high number was actually in the with an average of a 4.5 so he was misinformed. They then proceeded to charge my clients $250 just to come out and steer her away from getting the system installed. I called to talk to somebody that works for the company and the gentleman was so horrendous to speak with he raised his voice multiple times on the phone with me telling me that I filled out the questionnaire wrong. I said who runs a business like this where you're convincing your clients not to get a rate on mitigation system when all testing that's been done has shown they need one and he told me that it's my fault that I filled out the questionnaire wrong and that he can see all the reports. I if you can see a report then you can see that it has high levels of 8.3 he told me that I told them so it's my fault. Do not do business with this company disgusting customer service and a scam to pay them $250 just to talk you out of getting something that your actually needs.
