We had a residential lockout during regular business hours. The operators answered quickly and a…read morelocksmith was at our home within 20 minutes. After he got us in, he charged us $225, which we thought was ridiculous as it was not after hours and wasn't even the deadbolt lock, but the front door handle. I called the operator and explained the situation and asked if we had been charged appropriately. Around 6 PM, the manager left me a voicemail saying she will try to reach me again the next day at noon. After not hearing from them I called around 1:00 PM and a very friendly operator answered the phone and let me know they'd issue a $75 refund bringing our total to $150. It's still pretty steep, but it was very nice of them to refund us and provide pretty good customer service. I don't think I'd use them again due to their pricing, but if you need a very fast locksmith, they definitely can provide service quickly.

Even if the probability is slim, I was slightly scared someone had found it and had access. This was the first time I used Yelp's projects feature and I was impressed by how easy to use it is. It suggested two locksmiths. It seems like they're able to set up auto responses because it requested a quote over the weekend and I didn't expect to get a reply. I did immediately. Once I expanded on what I needed, one business clarified pricing details. I used that quote as a reference and called Midnight Run Services Monday morning. I'm glad I called because they explained the difference between replacing the locks with a new key and replacing the hardware completely. I thought it had to be the latter if I wanted a new brand new key, which I learned was not the case. It ended up being much more affordable. They gave me an hour timeframe when they'd come by. The service was extremely prompt and fast. It maybe took them 15 minutes to do it all. Electronic payments are accepted, so the whole thing was less painful than I had anticipated and now I have peace of mind as well. Highly recommend!
