Our host was super helpful in advising us on local activities and worthwhile restaurants. He is very knowledgeable about the Inn's and the local history. The cook prepared a 5 star spread for us for breakfast featuring his favourite "teddy bear" fruit sculpture. What a treat!! Enjoyed the back porch with view of garden which supports a number of species of migrating and local species of birds. An orchestra awaited us every morning! Such an enjoyable stay- hope to be back sometime.

The home is cute and up to date in the small little town of Madison. It is the perfect location to their Main Street where our friends wedding was. The couple that own the home are so friendly and overly accommodating. They went out of their way to make our few hours there perfect. We arrived early in the morning so we could see the town and do a little shopping. Our room was ready by 10:30 when we called. We were greeted by three friendly cocker spaniels, who get to roam the house freely which should be noted if you aren't a dog person or are allergic but we didn't mind. We had the opportunity to choose the room we wanted (I am totally blanking on names right now) and we're offered the larger bathroom since we needed to get ready for a wedding. We decided on our original room for the space. Everything was clean and had that "mommas house" smell. The one where the linens are freshly pressed and the towels are hot out of the dryer. We made some small talk and were offered a tray of water and some fresh fruit! We were also given food advice as we were starving from our drive and we ended up at Fuzzys bbq. Her husband, John, was just as accommodating. He offered coffee, bottled water and several snacks for our trip home! They were so kind and I highly suggest supporting this couples BnB. If we ever get the chance to go back we def will!

We did not know much about the area, or the history of the house. The hosts were wonderful and so very accommodating. They provided lots of detail of what is available in the area and details on the house history. We were able to tour every room. I asked where they placed the Christmas tree, as this cozy, inviting place would be perfect around the holidays. Turns out, they place several trees. Also, would consider a late spring/summer stay as there is a beautiful backyard with in-ground pool. Look forward to future stays.

From the moment you walk through the door, you are welcomed by some of the friendliest, most accommodating, and genuinely lovely people imaginable. There was never a moment where they didn't go out of their way to help make our stay comfortable and memorable. Ray, especially, was exceptional. He was there every day making sure everything was perfect and continually went above and beyond to make our stay feel special and personal. The Manor itself is absolutely charming -- creative, warm, and filled with character. Everywhere you looked was a feast for the eyes, with thoughtful details and beautiful touches throughout. Now that my niece has graduated, we technically have no reason to visit High Point anymore -- but honestly, a return trip would be worth it just for another stay at the Manor. It felt less like staying somewhere and more like being part of something truly special.

This was our first stay at a bed and breakfast, and this place has now set the bar impossibly high for us. The location near both the highway and a local airport was terrific. Clean and comfortable made our stay great. The charm of the landscaping and interior furnishings made us feel like royalty - and we really appreciated the special attention we were given by two angels, Ed and Kitty, the proprietors. We stayed three nights in late March, and flowers and trees were starting to come alive after a long cold winter. Breakfast was a daily gift - starting us up with wonderful food. Pancakes, French toast and eggs each day were prepared and presented as if a culinary chef was in charge. Delicious food was served with a yogurt and fruit parfait to start, and coffee was good with a side of juice. Although our trip was not for pleasure, this place helped us get ready for days in the area. I felt the pressure leaving as soon as we turned into their driveway. My mom died almost two years ago and I have not had a vacation since before being her caregiver in her last days. I never expected this few days get away to be so exactly what I needed. The owners. So warm and welcoming. They truly make you feel at home. I can't say enough good things about Will and Jennifer. The staff. Omgoodness. They have this sweet lady who cooks, cleans, and anything else you need who has worked there for 18 years. After she takes care of you she goes and gives care to her elderly Mother. I'm convinced she is an angel. Thank you Kathy for everything. The cabins. Private. Clean. You really feel like you step back in time but you don't have to give up your high speed Internet either. They are simply magical. The jacuzzi tub doesn't hurt either. The grounds. Completely perfect. Everything is spaced out but you don't have to travel far to get to the lake or take a hike. Our cabin literally had a view of Pilot mountain. There are grills to cookout. Free canoe, rowboat, and paddle boats. A gorgeous pool and a sauna that is something from the past. In a good way. I have never wanted to give something six stars before, but if I could I would give Pilot Knob Inn atleast that many. I can not wait to return to that little slice of heaven.
