We were on our way to the beach, following the route my family took when I was young. It was lunch time and we saw a line on the front porch, so we decided it must be good and stopped. We were not disappointed! The fried chicken was excellent! So many vegetables to choose from, but our favorites were the green beans, the lima beans and the cabbage. Don't pass up the corn bread, it's delicious! We had sweet tea on the side and banana pudding for dessert. Yum! Bonus, at no charge, we enjoyed some friendly conversation on the porch during the 10 minutes or so while we waited for our table. It's just a few miles off I-95. Stopped in on my way to Florida. A southern buffet? Why not. The huge selection of heart stopping, yet tasty, food made me taste a bit of almost everything. Since I'm a Yankee, a lot of the stuff seemed odd. However, my friends guided me and helped me pick things that they guessed (accurately) that both tasted good and wouldn't freak me out. The only think I wouldn't eat was the fat back! Walnut-sized hunks of deep fried pig hide. Please, I'm crazy, but not that crazy! The red velvet cake and 'nilla 'nanna pudding were the best things I had, being Very partial to desserts. Definitely an experience. Worth a visit. Sunday brunch price includes tea or lemonade and not so good desserts. Meats are overly dry or salty, below average. Variety of sides saved them, but some were epic misses. There is fat back which is an acquired taste. The buffet is all you can eat, the green beans, lima beans and collards were pretty tasty, the mac and cheese was custard style and super cheesy, so that was nice. Nothing low calorie and not many eating on the salad side. Lots of locals, friend waitress we had. Place was filling up with the church crowd on Sunday. Oh my goodness!! Southern food done right!!! I do not like a buffet because usually the food is awful. Not true here. Homemade:biscuits, corn muffins, turnip greens, green beans, pinto beans, macaroni & cheese, stew beef, rice, BBQ Chicken, Fried Chicken, Salisbury Steak & gravy, potato salad, salad bar & much much more. Nothing was greasy & everything was seasoned to perfection. Menu changes & they are open 7 days 11-7pm. Prices were more than reasonable for an all-you -can-eat meal. If you leave here hungry well then that's YOUR own fault!!! Great place & we will eat here again when we are passing through! Went there with my niece who is very picky about restaurants. They serve buffet and it was great. Food is top notch, friendly service and the atmosphere is like being at a family reunion. Had several conversations with people I'd never met. Just a really good down home restaurant. My niece is anxious to go again and so am I. read more

OMG this place is BAD. I'd give it 0 stars if I could. It's like the freakin Thunderbird with half the menu. I made the mistake of taking a colleague here on a business meeting, and it was very awkward because neither of us actually wanted to eat anything on this buffet. Never again...wow. Food was not great. Couldn't tell that the mashed potatoes were potatoes. The chicken and pastry looked like chicken noodle soup. NO ONE greater us. When we walked in there's a lady sitting in a chair collecting money there were 3 other employees standing there talking and no one said hello. All we heard was "how many". The waitress was nice. I went back to the front to get change for a $10 to tip the waitress and the same lady who didn't speak earlier didn't speak once again. She actually handed me the money back without even looking at me. Definitely felt unwanted there. Will not be back. read more

We had a business lunch at B&B. It was my second visit in twenty years. I enjoyed the food. It was better than I remembered. The server was friendly and kept my glass full. The lady at the register actually spoke to me. That was a first. The restaurant was clean and busy. Both are good signs for a buffet. read more

I have eaten at this restaurant many times in the past and the food was always good But on my visit on 1/13/2013 with six family members most of the food was very bland and tasted like it was out of a can without any real flavoring, some was good I am not sure what happened with this restaurant ,maybe the cooks have been replaced But I will not try eating at the B & B restaurant again unless I see enough good reports that it has returned to the way it used to be read more

Anyone that thinks the food is bad must have gotten there at the wrong time. They have great food and the people that wait on you are very friendly! I have gone in and the food might have been sitting a while but, that happens everywhere. Overall, their food is very good and I go back time after time....even if I did get one meal that wasn't up to par. You go anywhere long enough and you are going to get something that isn't good. I love this place! My grandmother took me here as a kid and I still go till this day. I love the gravy and rice. I do not eat gravy from anywhere else but I love the one here. I also love the mac and cheese. The waitress are friendly but last few times I wished the would have removed the used plates off the table. But I do think they have the best sweet tea in the town of area. read more
