You can tell it is a locals place when there are no prices on the menu board. My coworker and I came here for lunch when we were working in the area. We ordered at the counter and found a table. Both of us ordered the pimento cheese sandwich. I ordered fries and a side salad with ranch, she ordered the house made chips. We both thought the pimento sandwich was delicious. My fries were served hot and fresh. The salad was a disappointment. It looked and tasted like it had been poured out of a bag. The ranch dressing was as thin as water without much flavor. I was in the area searching for Jamaican Food ( ** some oxtails, rice, cabbage, etc... ) so after a Web Search this restaurant was recommended and i decided to visit with my mom for the first time When we walked in we were not appropriately greeted.. The guy that did approach just seemed like he had very ' unwelcoming energy ' that we were there.. ( An appropriate greeting by the way is : ' Hi , Welcome To Locals ' or ' Is this you guys first time dining here '.. ) Business Owners never have a clue who may be entering or exiting their Business ,, And when respect is not given .. Customers will eventually start returning the same by not visiting. The Customer Care was Horrible.. [ very horrible ].. And the food we did order .. tasted like it was made with ' no love '. They do not serve anything Jamaican related.. There are no : Oxtails, Rice, Cabbage, Beans, etc.. This Restaurant, The Guests, and The Chefs are predominantly w**** .. And made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome to be a POC guest. I can assure that this will be I and my Mom first and last time at this restaurant.. Been here multiple times. I have had a burger, hot dogs and the Philly sandwich. My favorite by far was the Philly! It is HUGE and just has really good flavor. The fries are always good and the homemade ranch is off the chain. Hot dogs were good. The sauce could use some work...but I'm a northerner so I'm pretty picky about my hot dog sauce. The heartbreaker is an excellent burger barbecue hybrid,but if you want something cheap, simple, and delicious barbecue sandwich with Memphis sauce is fantastic.
