Buying a car can be a stressful task, not knowing who to trust or if your making the right decision can be overwhelming. I wanted to make sure when I got into something new I was 100% confident in my decision. After going to countless dealerships and doing tons of research online, I found that on the surface B&B was worth checking out. They had a car I was really interested in so I was happy to hear it was still for sale. When I got there Craig welcomed me and told me to take my time on the test drive. The location is ideal for a test drive..nice quiet residential 2 lane roads with no chaos is what I like. Took it for a spin and instantly fell in love, which doesn't come easy for me. I knew right away this car felt right and would look killer in my garage. Went in and sat with him in a laid back comfortable office to discuss the car. He didn't sit there all cheesy with a generic list of features on the car, they let the car sell themselves which totally works. He was so patient and answered every single question I had in terms I could understand which some salesmen make things confusing. I didn't feel pressured, rushed or forced whatsoever. I wanted the car and bought it on the spot. I traded in my pride and joy (which wasn't easy for me might I add) I NEVER would have done that if I didn't think I'd love my new car just as much. 2 days later I went back to pick it up and they had her looking clean and pretty. I met Paul who couldn't be any cooler of a dude. He showed me how to use all my functions and put my plates on for me. Finally I sat down with mama Craig and signed the rest of the paperwork which she put together beautifully for me. B&B is the real deal, I can't compare to anywhere else in RI to buy a car. A pleasurable experience from start to finish. I am so ecstatic over my new ride I can't wipe the smile off my face. I would buy from here again in a heartbeat. It is with deep regrets I share this poor review. We started out with two good cars but the last two were disastrous. My college aged daughter purchased a Kia here two years ago and I've poured $1000s into it including a transmission, since. For example, she broke down twice at severe costs for repairs, in NYC, on route to school in PA. Bottomline I would steer clear of this business as the the cars are not what they appear. read more

Bought 2003 Suburu for 1200. First day bought gas and engine light went on. Next day tried changing oil and was so rotted could not get cap off no matter what tool was used. A long time since anyone tried changing oil. A few days later overheated and head gasket problem. Called and was told they would let owner know. While driving with 5 children in the car I had purchased, the sliding door decided to give up and fling open and fall off the van while on the highway. This damaged the entire side of the van and left dents and scratches, gouges in the paint. I managed to reattach said door with ratchet traps. I took it back to have the issue fixed as my children's lives were endangered. Their idea of fixing it was to reattach the door, lock it, and cover the handles and locks with DUCT TAPE! The engine like has never gone away since i bought it and they never fixed that issue either. The lack of courtesy and the rudeness of their "mechanic" is pathetic and unprofessional. I can't tell you how pleasurable Chris, Craig and Paul made our car shopping experience. Dan T. is right when he said these guys are NOT your typical used car salesmen. My hubby and I went by on a Saturday to see what they had to offer and ended up talking to Chris Neale, one of their salesmen, for at least 15 minutes about non-car stuff. He is such a nice guy. We left that day not buying anything, but a few more days passed and we still hadn't found what we wanted so we went back to B&B and told them when we were looking for. Turns out they had JUST brought a car back from auction and we ended up test driving it and bought it a few days later. Since the car was just brought to their lot they hadn't even had time to price it yet, but they worked within our budget to get us the car. It is so great and we are really happy with it. If we need to buy another car we will most definitely be back to see these polite and caring gentlemen! read more

I thought B & B was excellent as far as used car sales go. They were very helpful in making sure I chose the right car and in getting me financed. They made my car buying experience much less stressful than I expected it to be. I took the car to my mechanic before I bought it to make sure it was in good shape, and he said its a good car that will last me a long time. It's been a few months since I got the car, and I recently went back in to get my squeaky serpentine belt fixed. They did it for me with little notice and for free. Went on a Saturday. The lady was kind enough to stay open 15 minutes after closing so I could look at some cars (but really, who closes at 3 on a Saturday?). I had my eye on a VW with a 6-speed transmission, and asked her to drive it. She walked me to it, put plates on, and handed me the keys. When I got in, the interior was filthy and basically destroyed. Every surface was ridiculously worn and dirty, and the headliner was touching my head. After driving for about half a mile, I discovered that, not only was the check engine light on, but the car advertised as a 6 speed was actually a 5 speed! I returned to the lot and asked to look at a Honda. She handed me the keys. When I opened the door, the stench nearly made me vomit. The carpet, and the driver's seat were covered in mold. I thought better of a test drive, dropped the keys and plates in the office and left immediately. Given that their cars appear to be uninspectable and disgusting, not to mention the false advertising, I would recommend you avoid. read more

I was in the market for a 4x4 pickup in order to combat the RI winters, and did research online for local dealerships that would work within my meager budget to get me on the road. B&B was one of the few dealerships I found on Yelp with such a high rating but, much to my disappointment, I didn't see any trucks on their site that were automatics. After failing to have any luck at other local dealerships, my father actually mentioned B&B and I told him I didn't see any automatics on their site, but that we should head there anyway. On the way I applied for financing and received a phone call from Christal a few minutes later. She asked a few standard questions and I told her I was headed there that moment, just as we happened to turn into the parking lot. Upon arriving, I met with Paul, the owner. I've worked in sales before and had just gotten done with an obnoxious negotiation at a previous dealership, so I was already very wary of being lied to or talked to like I knew nothing. Paul, however, is not the stereotypical used car salesman and holds true to his Christian beliefs: he's honest, caring, and trustworthy, and within minutes I felt entirely comfortable possibly proceeding on a purchase. Sometime within the space of ten minutes of talking to Paul, he handed me the keys to test drive an automatic 4x4 '02 Dodge Dakota that was slightly higher than my budget but met all my other requirements. I took off down the road and fell in love with the truck, telling my dad, "I'm ready to drive it home right now." We parked in a Cumberland Farms parking lot and popped the hood and everything looked beautiful inside. The truck, too, drove perfectly and sounded clean. I headed back to B&B and told Paul I was ready to go ahead with making the purchase. Without asking, he handed me the Carfax and went over all the work the dealership had done on the truck, as well as its previous history and the few things to pay attention to if I were to buy it. He told me to feel free to take it to a mechanic of my choosing and what would be covered by B&B if they found anything. I decided to purchase the truck but was sadly unable to take it home that night. The next day, Christal called me about loan information and to tell me their mechanic was checking over the truck again to finalize its condition, and I proceeded to blow up her inbox with questions and concerns any first-time vehicle purchaser would have. Christal replied to me within minutes despite being off for half the day and processed my paperwork and loan details quickly. I came back a day or two later and talked to Chris while I signed the paperwork. Chris made sure to explain all of the warranty details to me, as well as what all of the documents entailed and covered. Perhaps the most nerve-wracking part of the entire purchasing process was one of the simplest thanks to him, and I went out to my truck to drive home. As I was headed home, Christal called me to ask to return because I accidentally took their copies of the paperwork, so I stopped home (as I was pulling into my driveway when she called), grabbed my brother and dog so they could go on the truck's maiden voyage, and headed back to B&B. I dropped off the paperwork, went into the parking lot and...the shift wouldn't work. It kept clanging and refused to shift out of park so, after a few more attempts, I went inside to explain the situation. Within seconds, Dave, Paul's brother and the dealership's technician, came out to my truck to troubleshoot. He was unphased by the giant Alaskan Malamute loving him up while he tried shifting over and over until he eventually got it working and pulled the truck into the garage. While I walked towards the garage, Paul brought over a car and presented me with the keys, telling me I could use it as a loaner until they fixed the truck. This act alone was way beyond what I expected and testament to just how much B&B cares about its customers. I told Paul I'd wait around and see what the issue was at first, and was invited into the garage while Dave continued to test the shifter. We were allowed to hang around the garage while Dave told me what he believed the issue to be (lack of lubricant between the shifter and the inside of the steering wheel) and how he could fix it, and I gave him space while he disassembled the steering wheel to see if that was the actual issue. Dave tested his work and made sure that, indeed, that was the issue, trying for a long while to replicate the problem and only telling me it was all set after being absolutely sure the issue was resolved. It was, and since then the truck was run incredibly well. I'd recommend B&B to anyone, as it's staffed by people who actually care about their prospective customers, and hold true to their Christian faith and the values of integrity and honesty. read more

Me and my girlfriend were looking to buy a car with a limited budget and only a few days time. The guys at B&B were so nice and did everything they could to accommodate us and get us a great car that we love! They are NOT the typical car salesmen that can be pushy or only out to get money. They really care about the customer and do everything they can to get you into a car that is a good fit. I stopped by to look at a Subaru last fall that had a wrong price on the windshield. priced $1500.00 less than he had intended to sell and had advertised online, but he honored the price. Car came with a free Carfax and it has served us well to this point. Went to purchase my next car from him last week but the car I was interested in was sold moments before I showed up. Wow where do I begin?? Here's my story (I shortened it some but hit the major points)... First off I want it to be known... BEWARE B&B Auto Sales!!! I purchased a vehicle from B&B Auto Sales at 245 Waterman Ave., North Providence, RI not long ago. Believing I was buying a car that would last longer than 2 months, boy was I wrong!!! I can't drive this vehicle father than 5 miles without filling the coolant tank. As a matter of fact I won't drive this vehicle on the roads because it is UNSAFE and I don't want to hurt myself or God forbid anyone else on the road!! The first thing I had changed was the valve cover gasket because it was leaking oil (all over the engine block); I would like to say this is normal for higher mileage cars but I don't know. After the fix, the leak was still present, so I investigated for the source of the leak I believe this vehicle has a cracked block. But I am not an ASE Certified Mechanic, so I am guessing on this. Next the cooling system... I bring this point up because B&B supposedly fixed the overheating problem, which ended up costing me $50 plus a tow from almost 50 miles away. They told me the issue was fixed, but after B&B's supposedly fix the overheating I personally changed the thermostat 2 more times! That was just the beginning... there is so many leaks from the bottom of this vehicle I don't know where to begin fixing it. Or even to talk about right now. Next the water pump and all the hoses! Dry Rot, Cracked, holes and the pump is frozen (which explains the heat issue and overheating) sums that up. B&B should have seen this when I had my car towed back to them. Then I did the front brakes which were grinding like no other, I found out that there was a horrible fix on the left caliper (it basically fell off, dangerous?? I think yes but... again I am not an ASE Certified Mechanic). I'm scared to remove the rear wheels and investigate that braking system. Next I looked at the power steering pump, reservoir, and hoses. The pump looks like its barley hanging on, the hoses are shot and if I'm not mistaken the reservoir tank, which has fresh steering fluid on it, has a hole or a crack in it. Future the other leaks; oil pan, transmission, engine, and head gasket. If I were to add up the cost of all these fixes I would have bought 2 of these vehicles!! These are the surprise fixes... Now the problems they told me about, the convertible top. Boy that was easy. So I saw BUYER BEWARE... The issues that I have found with my new(ish) car were so great I started thinking about contacting that state of Rhode Island to find out what my recourse can be! read more

I can not say enough positive things about this dealership. They have wonderful used cars that are very reasonably priced and in amazing condition. Each car comes with a warranty that they honor to the letter. When I bought my car I had some issues with the cooling system, they replaced what was wrong and as a precaution went ahead and fixed several other things just to be sure nothing else would go wrong. I bought a 2000 Nissan Maxima here about a year ago.. The day we picked it up we were told the owner took it home to be sure that it was safe as we stated to them it needed to be safe as a 16yr old would be driving it... Little did I know they drove it until the check engine light came on so they could reset it! Short time later the light came on and we found out it needs a catalytic converter! We have dumped a ton of $ in it! Engine was just hanging there... We were told it would have fallen out if we hadnt taken it to be checked...Had to have welding and a motor mount done...its been one thing after another over a thousand $$ of work and still needs more!!! NOT A SAFE CAR AS THEY IMPLIED!!! I would NOT recommend them to buy a car from!! Dishonest to say the least... read more

We bought a used car here several months ago, so I am rating the dealership not only on the shopping experience (very nice) but also on the reality of our experience with the car we purchased. We bought a used car here for a price at the top of its Kelley Blue Book range, indicating that the car was in excellent condition for its age. Since shortly after that purchase, we began to experience problems and we have now put over a thousand dollars into the car to make it tolerably driveable. There are still problems, for example extremely loud noise while driving at highway speeds, but we've given up on putting more money into this car. I'm not saying that the dealership knew that we would have so many issues, and have to spend so much money, but we trusted that they would know whether the car was really in good condition or not. We feel that it was not at all a good deal, we're annoyed at having to spend so much time and money at fixing our car over the past few months, and we would be very wary before shopping here again. read more
