My husband and I recently purchased a vehicle from Grieco, working primarily with Ricardo. The initial experience was fairly typical--high-pressure sales, but nothing unexpected. I had done my research in advance and knew exactly which vehicle I was interested in, and on our first visit we were satisfied enough to move forward with the purchase. Unfortunately, our experience declined when we returned to pick up the vehicle. At that time, we noticed the side mirror turn signal was broken. We were told by Ricardo that the service manager said it had "passed safety inspection," and that because it was a used car "priced to sell," no repair would be made. A small chip in the windshield was addressed the same way. These issues were not apparent during our test drive or at signing, and it was disappointing that there was no willingness to address them. Communication afterward was equally frustrating. The used car manager, Steve, has yet to return my husband's calls despite multiple messages. Every time the dealership reached out to me, I explained that my husband was trying to speak with someone directly and provided his contact information again. Two weeks later, there has still been no response to him. To add to the frustration, the car was registered on March 25 without us being told--we only found out after my husband left yet another message (on 3/30). Once again, the response came to me instead of him. I do want to acknowledge Juan Carlos, who handled his role professionally, communicated clearly, and delivered what was promised on pickup day. Based on his efforts alone, I would give four stars. Unfortunately, the overall experience was overshadowed by poor follow-up and lack of accountability from others, making even two stars feel generous. I do like the vehicle, but the customer service fell short. This experience reminded us why we have chosen Tasca Lincoln in the past, and we will return to them in the future. STAY AWAY FROM THESE LOW LIFES!!!!! Do not EVER step foot in this dealership, if you do you're going to get railroaded, treated like a schmuck, and given nothing of what you asked for. I called Grieco Honda on a Saturday and said I was trading in my Honda Ridgeline but I was interested in a Toyota Tundra that their sister dealership had in East Providence. I was told on the phone that it was no issue and that the truck would be transferred over to the dealer and I could come down Sunday morning (I live TWO HOURS AWAY). I drove down Sunday and the truck was no where to be seen. I had a 12:30 appointment and at 1:00pm, the sales manager Mark came over and said "oh we're super busy but someone is coming" and then assigned me to Alfred, who was with another customer. They finally saw me at 1:30pm, an hour late. I asked THREE TIMES to see the truck since "we have to go to Providence but the test drive can be the ride over here." They spent 45 minutes talking trade in and price even with me saying I would discuss it after I get to actually see the truck!!! Alfred finally said okay to going to Providence and then took another 20 minutes to get a car so we could drive over. We finally got to Providence 45 minutes later only to watch someone driving the truck out of the lot and buying it. I never even got to test drive it! Got back to the dealer and gave Mark an earful because I had never been treated so poorly. He said how sorry he was and that he would call me Monday to find me the same truck. He called me and said they would search the country to find it because it was sold out from under me. I found the exact truck at the same price in Oregon and Mark had me send it to him. He said they would call them right then. That truck sold over the weekend so I called to ask if Grieco had reached out AND THEY NEVER CALLED FOR THAT TRUCK!!! Mark and Alfred are TERRIBLE. They and Grieco Honda are the reason people hate car dealerships. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS!!!!!!!! And I know the blanket "oh call our GM and he wants to hear from you" is coming, don't bother. Going to post this here also since they pretend to care about negative reviews but never follow through with the response to them. When I lived in mass, I bought all my cars at Herb Chambers. Moved out to Rhode Island a few years ago and decided on going Grieco in Johnston. It's was all fine until I signed. From that moment on there was a shift in how I was treated. The next day I started noticing issues with my car and brought it to Grieco. I was told that "I had buyers remorse" which insulted me and I felt they were trying to discredited my concerns. My car had no mats, which I assumed was in the trunk like they do with most cars... nope. Was told there wasn't mats when they got the car and most people would buy better mats anyway. There was a foul smell when opened the driver side window.. didn't notice it when I bought it because it was cold out so it was rolled up. After all this and the way I was being treated I felt like I didn't want my money going there. ...this is where it becomes deceptive and I was warned by the people I'm close with at one of the most prominent auto body shops in Providence. I unfortunately ignored them because I was caught up in wanting the car and they had it. They offer a 3 day return if you're unhappy, BUT you aren't allowed to leave the dealership with the car until it's signed and insured so once that happens, you're locked in and that return window doesn't apply. So it doesn't exist outside of words. It's incredibly shady and misleading and when I brought that up to my sales manager, he became flustered and changed the subject. I asked to speak to a manager but "he was busy". Whatever I learned my lesson but it doesn't stop there. I keep the car in my driveway and rarely drive it... less than a week later the sun had shined on a spot on my car and I noticed a small dent in the front quarter. With the body lines on the car it just looked like a shadow until the sun lit it. When I took a deeper look around, it was also missing the spare tire kit even though the foam holder was there... empty, not even a jack. The spare tire well was FILTHY. So I bought a car with a bunch of issues and with a dent that I didn't notice because I felt rushed during the test drive and it was cold out. I wasn't told that the car only had 1 key fob until I signed as well. Just a terrible post-purchase experience and I'm pretty tired of prominent people in this field telling me I was a fool buying here. Oh and they don't have loaners... they have rental cars if you have an issue that will need time to fix. Tried to speak with a manager regarding all these issues and never received a call back. Pretty much what I expected post purchase based on everything else. Lesson learned. It's too bad because I love the car but need to spend additional money replacing missing items and fixing a dent I didn't notice when there. read more

Couldn't find ANYONE in the building.. so while walking around saw someone in their glass office and politely asked them where I could locate the car I was looking for.. the response was very rude I was told "outside to the right are the new cars - I don't work in sales" .. as he turned back to his desk .. Absolutely the worst car buying experience in my life. I've had 6 Hondas and I only went to Grieco because they had the 2026 model I wanted. The sales person was horrendous. Rude, condescending, slick in changing out numbers, uninformed and just a terrible person. Can you imagine buying a $50K car and being told you can figure it out--no delivery help what so ever. I will never, ever step foot in that dealership again. I will tell everyone I know about the experience to save them from this horrible dealership. When you walk into greco honda you go into a building that is ornate, enormous and way over the top for what you need to sell cars. You notice though that the waiting area for customers who are having work done is nothing more than some hard chairs and tables. No tv, no vending machines, no nothing. Walk into any other dealership and you find a pretty decent waiting area. I guess after the sale is made the customer's comfort isn't given a single thought at Grieco. read more

They called me and said that price is too low can you come in so we can look at it cause we will give you more than that. I showed up and the next person waiting outside greeted me - totally clueless when i said i had an appointment - he sat me at a desk and said he would be right back he was going to get a water - 25 minutes later he never came back and now someone else comes over - i showed him my online appraisal - he took the keys and was gone an hour - he came back saying that the car was worth the money, needed nothing and there offer was 9k. RUN, don't walk in the other direction. These folks are the definition of sheister, unprofessional and rude all in one. One of our kids (in their 20's) went to sell their car here. Deal was made and was told check would be availble for pick up on Tuesday because there was no one there to write the check on the weekend. Made arrangements to pick up from salesperson on Thursday, however when kid arrives, sales guy is not there and no one from the business manage to the general manger can find the check, Apparently they are nbot bright enough to call the sales person and ask where the check is. Called kid later and told them they found the check would they like them to mail it. Kid returns call and asks for it to be sent overnight. A week, yes a complete week passes and no check. Kid calls and leaves messages for the sales person, business manger and general manager an no one returns calls. For several days kid attempted to get someone from the dealer on the phone and they ignored emails, texts and calls. Finally reached out to Honda Corporate and they called the dealer. Within hours kid got a call from the GM who told them check was never mailed and they put it in regular mail despite the lateness in getting the check to them (two weeks) and ignored the many requests to overnight. Never so much as an apology for their complete lack of professionalism and dropping the ball. Whatever you do, stay away from Greico! read more

I've never leased a car but decided to do so once I got into a car accident and my car was considered "Totaled." I've had my leased car for two years now which is a Honda Accord Sport. Any time I've visited this establishment for a synthetic oil change they've always been super friendly and accommodating. No fault of Grieco Honda, but I really needed a car ASAP and I wish I would've had more time to do my homework. The car is beautiful and I'm well under the mileage allowance. I would just prefer to buy the vehicle outright as opposed to leasing. I'll be turning it in soon and the 5k I put as a down payment is pretty much lost. Maybe I'll find a car there to purchase once I turn it in. Good service and cordial sales force! read more

Let me start of by saying that this is NOT a false or paid for review. It's genuine and I don't normally care enough to leave these. I was referred to Grieco Honda in Johnston by Tyler W. Who could not say enough good things about this company. I was skeptical at first but ultimately decided to give it a shot since I struck out at two dishonest car dealerships already. I scheduled an appointment with Donnie Alfonso, and from the moment I met him, he made me feel like he actually cared and wasn't trying to sell me just anything. I initially didn't find anything I liked, but he wasn't satisfied until he found something I wanted and he listened to my wants and needs instead of pressuring me into a crappy car he knew I wouldn't be happy with. His attitude was so phenomenal that I came back to him when he told me he found something that was just right for me.. and he was right. I had some hiccups with my insurance company but he was patient and walked me through the entire process. His pricing was transparent and he even fixed the things I wanted done before pick up. There was more that was done in between (ie paperwork, title search) and he kept me in the loop the entire time. Tyler W. Even got back to me as well and asked if I was satisfied with what I was presented and took the time to listen to me. Greico Honda is very lucky to have these two Gems on their team. (I'm also not the most easy customer!) I will be a repeat customer for years to come. It's not everyday you can say you truly trust the sales team at a car dealership. These two you can trust. They might actually be the worst people in the car business, which is saying something.. sold a used car, said it had a clean Carfax but you could see that the bumper was damaged as well as the sensors; also vibrations in the back of the car and the back seatbelt was installed incorrectly. Said they would fix it and make it right, spent six hours there, and they fix exactly 0 and then treated me like garbage for being frustrated. It was comforting to know I can contact him whenever if I needed to, and I have, and he has followed through every time!!!! Prior to stepping into Honda, I had been comparison shopping cross overs for a while, I've only ever driven Toyota or Jeep. I knew it was time to say good bye to Jeep, and my experience with Toyota was so bad...walking into Honda, and test driving with Donny, I knew I was going home with a Honda, it's the smoothest, quietest ride I ever had. This is the first time I have ever felt so deeply compelled to issue a negative review on yelp. In 2019 I purchased a Honda Passport from Greico. The purchase went fairly well except for a hiccup with the financing where their available rates from Citizen's bank were above what was available directly. This year we were in the market for our fifth Honda and third Odyssey purchase. Greico failed on so many levels all I can say is run, don't walk away from this place. Availability- Greico did not have the vehicle we wanted on the lot. They told us that we were limited to what was on site which was only high-end models or used vehicles. Used vehicles were not pre-certified. They had limited ability to get a car from another location or dealer. Factory orders were limited to what they were allocated and there was no ability to special order. Price- There was a sticker on the car next to the factory sticker informing that the price was $5,000 over MSRP. When discussing with the salesperson he quickly told us that was what the market commanded and admitted it was pure profit for the dealer. Technical Knowledge-Both the salesman and, in a later conversation, the sales manager insisted that the middle seats could not be removed. We remove the middle row seats regularly in our existing Odyssey and explained to the salesman how it worked. We then asked to try it (with a new model, we wanted to make sure we could do it by ourselves). They told us it was illegal to allow us to remove the seat until we bought it. The salesman and his manager would also not demonstrate nor would they take it to the service area where service technicians could demonstrate. We visited two other local dealers and ultimately purchased from one of them. Both dealerships started with the MSRP and negotiated from there. Both dealerships demonstrated or allowed us to remove the seats. Both dealerships had more of the model we were looking for and offered immediately to locate the exact vehicle which we wanted to purchase. read more

They fixed my Honda, preventing leaking fuel from engulfing the engine in fire. Great waiting room area, fully stocked with snacks and good cappuccino. Free wifi. Even semi-private areas in case you have a video meeting or a phone call to make while waiting for service. The person who booked the appointment was very professional and gave me status updates. Is servicing a car at the dealership more expensive? Clearly; but it's worth getting the best possible service to keep the car running as long and as efficiently as possible. read more

I am not surprised this place has 1.6 star review. My wife wanted to test drive a new Honda Civic (2024) but this was the only dealership that had one in stock. We arrived at the lot and found it in the back so we did a walk around before we ran into a salesman. I went to look at the sticker and next to it was a sticker adding another $5000 to the price. $35,000 for a Civic??? I figured there had to be a lot of room on negotiating the price then. This was too blatant price gouging. We drove around to the front of the building and went inside. We wound up with a male salesman (not revealing his name). He went with us on the test drive. I thought this was odd since we had been to a bunch of other dealerships for different cars and were just handed the keys. She loved the car. Now it was negotiating time. I asked about the $5000. He said all the dealerships were doing it since there was low supply. We were giving a trade in value for her car which was $4000 less than KBB and Edmunds trade in values. She takes real good of her cars and this was less than their poor value. Add to that, you couldn't find a Civic with her miles and condition for less than $20-21,000. They offered $11,000. Time to crunch some numbers. Since she is buying the car, she is negotiating. The salesman kept looking at me like I was the final word and I should convince her to buy the car. Uh... This isn't the 50's. Woman are now allowed to vote. We found her treatment as quite sexist. Needless to say we left. After getting home, she kept getting calls from the dealership saying it was a great deal and we would never find a dealership without the $5,000 overage. She looked online and called two other dealerships. Neither one had the car she wanted in stock but they were expecting a shipment soon. She asked about the $5,000 extra. Neither one knew what she was talking about. They were just sticker price. We went to the dealership closest to us, negotiated a price and gave a deposit. They threw in an extended warranty and a chip/scratch paint warranty. The salesman said it would be about a week before the car came in. Two days later, the car was on their lot. It was identical to the car she test drove. We picked it up and she has been in love with it ever since. If you want a good deal on a car, avoid this place at all costs! read more

Worst customer service I've ever encountered. One of their dealership trucks hit our truck on the road, and smashed our mirror off of our truck. They promised us they would get us a new mirror. Fine. When we heard no updates over a week span we drove down to the dealership (we live an hour away), the mirror had been there and nobody called us back to have us come get it. When we opened the box the mirror was used and dirty, and the wrong model. Looked like they ripped an old mirror off a junk car and put it in a box. Still with no updates and no one answering the phone we drove down for a second time couple days later to talk to the manager. He was extremely dismissive, rude and wouldn't listen to what we were saying. We did get a second mirror ordered that showed up a week later. Whole process was almost a 3-4 week ordeal. I've never experienced such a low standard dealership. The manager was unpleasant and bias. When I tried getting in contact with someone higher up I was ignored and never contacted back. I would never spend a penny of my money here, and I tell everyone I know to never buy a car from here. read more

This dealership is deserving of it's one star rating on Yelp. I had an appointment set up to see a specific vehicle, and drove 2 hours to get to the dealership. The day of my appointment the online sales rep texted to confirm my appointment and then texted to confirm that I had arrived at the dealership. I was then told by the sales rep at the dealership that the vehicle sold that morning and that they were sorry. The manager told the representative to offer me a "top up" of my gas tank for my troubles. The manager could not even be bothered to come over and apologize. I would highly recommend staying away from this dealership. read more

Went to buy a certified 2015 CRV advertised for $17450. Car was fine, test drive was fine. Sales associate did his job. When I sat down to negotiate, the sales manager added $1500 to "activate certification." I told him it is advertised for 17450 and it doesn't mention anything about activation fees. They didn't budge. They said it's not there fault, it's the advertisers. Worse though, I budged and said I didn't want the certification. They still wouldn't honor the price advertised on their website. They added conditions such as "we will honor that price without certification if you finance with us for 72 months at 30% apr." Horrible dealer. Basically told me to fuck off. Wouldn't take responsibility for their own website. Hidden charges and fees. They try to play you and unless you are familiar with how dealers play the game, it would be very hard for someone to navigate and draft a good deal.
