Stay away from this shop if you value your time and money…read more I dropped off my 2017 Audi Q7 after hours and left a written note clearly stating that the steering rack had failed after a storm. I wasn't asking them to diagnose an unknown issue--I already knew the problem. I simply needed to know if they were able to repair it. Instead, they kept my vehicle for four days, then called me only to tell me exactly what I had already written in my note. After that, they admitted they couldn't perform the repair because they don't have anyone who can program the steering system. If they knew they weren't equipped to do this type of repair, they should have told me immediately instead of wasting four days of my time. They then charged me $170 for a diagnosis I never requested and even listed inspections that I never authorized. The worst part was their attitude. When I questioned why I was being charged for something I had already identified myself, instead of trying to resolve the issue professionally, they threatened to call the police. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this shop. I felt that my time and money were not respected, and I will never return. I strongly encourage others to look elsewhere for honest and professional service.

1-Star Review - Mavis Discount Tire, Route 66, Neptune, NJ…read more Extremely Disappointing Experience - Damaged Rims, Poor Customer Service, and Zero Accountability! On October 3, 2026, we brought our Tesla to Mavis on Route 66 in Neptune, NJ, to have all four tires replaced, along with a tire pressure sensor. What should have been a routine service turned into an extremely frustrating and unacceptable experience. I take exceptional care of my vehicle, especially my black rims, which were in pristine condition when I brought the car in. I work hard to afford my vehicle, and I take pride in keeping it looking as close to new as possible. When I arrived to pick up my Tesla, I was shocked to discover scratches on my black rims. I immediately requested to speak with the manager. Instead of taking responsibility or even investigating the situation, he insisted that my rims were already scratched before the service. To make matters worse, the manager called over the technician to explain what had happened. When I objected to being treated as though I was lying about the condition of my vehicle, the manager responded by saying, "Shhhhhh! Ma'am!" EXCUSE ME? Is that how a manager speaks to a paying customer who is rightfully upset about damage to their property? What happened next was even more disturbing. The technician admitted that the protective piece on the tire removal equipment had come off during the tire change, causing damage to my rim. My question is simple: If the equipment damaged the first rim, WHY did they continue using it and risk damaging the remaining rims? Where was the attention to detail? Where was the professionalism? Where was the respect for someone else's property? I was so furious and disappointed that I had to walk away from the situation. The manager also made a comment suggesting that customers usually don't complain about their rims because they don't inspect them. Well, I DO inspect my vehicle, and I expect professionals to treat it with the same care and respect that I do. As if the damaged rims weren't enough, the tire pressure warning light was still illuminated when we picked up the car, despite having paid for sensor replacement. This left me questioning whether the sensor had been properly replaced or serviced. Rather than resolving the concern, they recommended taking the vehicle to a Tesla dealership. Aren't you supposed to be the tire professionals? I brought my Tesla to Mavis expecting professional tire service, not damaged rims, dismissive treatment, and unanswered questions about the work performed. My experience at this location can be summarized in four words: Poor professionalism Terrible customer service Zero accountability Complete disrespect for customers and their property Mavis is supposed to be a tire specialist, not a tire and rim destroyer! I will NEVER bring my vehicle back to this location. Customers trust businesses with their vehicles and spend their hard-earned money expecting quality service. At the very least, they deserve honesty, respect, and accountability when something goes wrong. I strongly recommend that anyone considering this location thoroughly inspect their wheels and vehicle before and after service. An apology and an effort to make things right would have gone a long way. Instead, I left feeling disrespected, dismissed, and extremely disappointed. Absolutely unacceptable. ZERO STARS if I could give them!
