Even more than that, I had a strange issue with a spare tire I had that was mounted on an aftermarket rim, and he was more than patient at explaining to me the specific lug nuts I needed to get. I was more than ready to buy a different rim, or a replacement donut, but he spent extra time just to save me money. Pretty much a perfect tire shop. I don't write many yelp reviews, but I basically had to after my experience this morning. Oh, and as far as getting there, it is on an awkward part of Asbury Circle, and since I had a little extra time, I cut over to Asbury Ave before the traffic circle and it was super easy to get into the parking lot.

I wasn't asking them to diagnose an unknown issue--I already knew the problem. I simply needed to know if they were able to repair it. Instead, they kept my vehicle for four days, then called me only to tell me exactly what I had already written in my note. After that, they admitted they couldn't perform the repair because they don't have anyone who can program the steering system. If they knew they weren't equipped to do this type of repair, they should have told me immediately instead of wasting four days of my time. They then charged me $170 for a diagnosis I never requested and even listed inspections that I never authorized. The worst part was their attitude. When I questioned why I was being charged for something I had already identified myself, instead of trying to resolve the issue professionally, they threatened to call the police. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this shop. I felt that my time and money were not respected, and I will never return. I strongly encourage others to look elsewhere for honest and professional service.

On October 3, 2026, we brought our Tesla to Mavis on Route 66 in Neptune, NJ, to have all four tires replaced, along with a tire pressure sensor. What should have been a routine service turned into an extremely frustrating and unacceptable experience. I take exceptional care of my vehicle, especially my black rims, which were in pristine condition when I brought the car in. I work hard to afford my vehicle, and I take pride in keeping it looking as close to new as possible. When I arrived to pick up my Tesla, I was shocked to discover scratches on my black rims. I immediately requested to speak with the manager. Instead of taking responsibility or even investigating the situation, he insisted that my rims were already scratched before the service. To make matters worse, the manager called over the technician to explain what had happened. When I objected to being treated as though I was lying about the condition of my vehicle, the manager responded by saying, "Shhhhhh! Ma'am!" EXCUSE ME? Is that how a manager speaks to a paying customer who is rightfully upset about damage to their property? What happened next was even more disturbing. The technician admitted that the protective piece on the tire removal equipment had come off during the tire change, causing damage to my rim. My question is simple: If the equipment damaged the first rim, WHY did they continue using it and risk damaging the remaining rims? Where was the attention to detail? Where was the professionalism? Where was the respect for someone else's property? I was so furious and disappointed that I had to walk away from the situation. The manager also made a comment suggesting that customers usually don't complain about their rims because they don't inspect them. Well, I DO inspect my vehicle, and I expect professionals to treat it with the same care and respect that I do. As if the damaged rims weren't enough, the tire pressure warning light was still illuminated when we picked up the car, despite having paid for sensor replacement. This left me questioning whether the sensor had been properly replaced or serviced. Rather than resolving the concern, they recommended taking the vehicle to a Tesla dealership. Aren't you supposed to be the tire professionals? I brought my Tesla to Mavis expecting professional tire service, not damaged rims, dismissive treatment, and unanswered questions about the work performed. My experience at this location can be summarized in four words: Poor professionalism Terrible customer service Zero accountability Complete disrespect for customers and their property Mavis is supposed to be a tire specialist, not a tire and rim destroyer! I will NEVER bring my vehicle back to this location. Customers trust businesses with their vehicles and spend their hard-earned money expecting quality service. At the very least, they deserve honesty, respect, and accountability when something goes wrong. I strongly recommend that anyone considering this location thoroughly inspect their wheels and vehicle before and after service. He is very good, thorough, and honest. His wife runs the office and is great at getting used parts at rock-bottom prices. When a supplier has no delivery service, she will even going herself to fetch them herself. She'll pick you up or drop you off (locally, of course) if you need a lift when you leave your car there for service. These are good, honest people who deserve your business. The few mistakes this mechanic has made over the years (including before he worked at Tire Works) he corrected promptly, with no argument, and at no charge. The ONLY downside is that they're both Polish and speak English with an accent. Sometimes you have to listen closely to understand them, especially on the phone. Your Host has been a bit lax in the last couple of reviewisms, but it's time to right the ship and include him in this review, especially that he too, is a member of this wholesale club. Your Host has been a member of The Costco for about 30 years. That's a long time, wouldn't you say? Heck, I remember when the location in Edison was originally Price Club! Feeling nostalgic yet? Anyway, it's time to get into the meat of the review, shall we? This place has nearly everything you'd typically find at wholesale clubs, and the selection is great overall. Of course, they stock the name brand items, along with their own brand, Kirkland, which by the way is quite good (their natural peanut butter is great BTW). They carry their own baked goods (baked on premises), meats, seafood, poultry, etc, and the products are quite good as well. Prices overall are decent, and are typically less than the typical supermarket. From what Your Host has observed from his membership here and at their competitor, BJ's, the prices here are a tad less. Some products that Costco carries might not be found at BJ's and vice-versa. Unfortunately Darlings, Your Host does not (yet) have a Sam's membership and is unable to elaborate where they're concerned. There are two pieces of advice that Your Host would like to offer to get the most bang for the buck when it comes to heading out for a wholesale club shopping outing: 1. Know your prices and do the math. You may find you may/may not get a better deal at the supermarket. Yes, you could save yourself some cash-ola buying wholesale but you might save more when your local market runs sales depending on the week. It bears repeating: do your research and the math. 2. Darlings, do NOT lose your head here and buy, buy, buy. A simple shopping trip where you planned to spend a hundo or two can easily tally to $10,537.76 if you don't keep your budget in check and end up buying stuff that you think you need but really don't. I get that some things are out of their control, but why bother making an appointment if your car doesn't get serviced for almost two hours after your appointment start time? He offered & installed two converter replacements but the truck did not accept them and the engine light kept coming on. I brought the truck back multiple times for Joe to remedy but he couldn't figure it out. So I was instructed to remove the parts and return them for a full reimbursement but when I came back with the parts, Joe refused to reimburse me and refused to take back the parts. So now we have to take legal action to recoup the $2600, oh also I was told by Joe that "he doesn't care".
