He had it up on the hoist and showed me the problem. He fixed it right up and as a bonus, repaired 2 hanging pieces that needed fasteners. Total cost was amazingly reasonable and affordable. Job well done!!! He also gave it a basic inspection and pointed out a bit of tire wear and gave advice. Appreciated! Would highly recommend this family owned business!

Dropped off the car, got a couple of update texts with digital photos during the day. They diagnosed the problem as a brake fluid leak. I didn't like the look of some other parts in the photos, so asked them to do the extra work. Picked up the car the next day; brakes were just as soft as when I brought it in!! I called and brought the car right back. Didn't have a ride home, ‍ but they were nice enough to offer me a ride home. Pretty disappointed as a first time customer. Will update when I finally get the car back.

Most work is completed same day, and they respect your vehicle. While I don't think the prices are incredibly low, they are definitely reasonable and fair. There are countless times that they could have charged me much more for a bigger job if they wanted to, and their diagnostic tools are top notch. I recommend Rich's to all family and friends.

I've worked on cars since I was a teenager, but I don't have a place anymore to do so. If they weren't honest, I'd know it. They've never tried to upsell me on anything. They've never been and will never be the "replace your blinker fluid" type of shop. True honest guys that I fully trust. They DO, however, add a 3% fee for using your credit card, so bring cash! First time my car was in, the AC got fixed and it still works perfectly over a year later. Second time, the brakes needed to be done. They replaced the pads, rotors, and calipers - all of which I knew were the problem. The left caliper was sticking (I suspected so,) causing the bulk of my bill. That wasn't an upsell, it was necessary. I also need to get a wheel bearing replaced, but because it's another $400+ job, that will have to wait. Instead of pushing me into it, they warned of the risk, and said it isn't loose, so I do have some time as long as I stick to local driving. That was a relief to have the option to accumulate some money again. I have called around and compared prices, and they are even, if not cheaper than competitors. Fear not! You are not being price gouged!

The manager kept giving all sorts of excuses and Helen was nowhere to be found. He said he didn't have to honor price because I didn't have printed price and he couldn't find any paperwork stating $199. Having my car hostage I payed figuring I could settle with Helen later . All of a sudden he found the papers but wouldn't reimburse me and whenever I called Helen wasn't available. I report them to BBB, they ignored them. Catastrophic negligence…read more Improperly torqued drain plug destroyed my engine I had my oil changed at Whiting Auto Center on Dover Rd. One day before my next scheduled oil change--roughly three months later--the oil drain plug completely fell out while I was driving on the parkway. Every warning light came on, the engine lost all oil, and it completely shut down and was destroyed. My mechanic inspected the vehicle and confirmed the drain plug had fallen out while driving. It had clearly been undertightened/improperly torqued during the last service, slowly seeping oil over those three months until the vibrations on the highway finally vibrated it completely loose. Whiting Auto Center was the last shop to perform an oil change on this vehicle, yet they are denying all responsibility for the catastrophic failure caused by their work. A routine oil change should not result in a destroyed engine. Their failure to properly secure a drain plug and their refusal to take accountability for the resulting damage is unacceptable. I strongly advise taking your vehicle elsewhere!
