Nice, calm 2 hour boat cruise of the Oslofjord. The weather wasn't ideal, sprinkling on and off, so the company offered two different boat options: open traditional sail boat, or closed catamaran style. I decided to test my luck and went for the open boat, looked way better. And it was a good choice.
It did sprinkle on and off throughout, but thankfully there was a tarp roof covering enough of the center of the boat that we could all sit under it while still having a decent view when it was raining. And then when the rain cleared, we all flocked to the sides for an even better view.
The 'your' part of it was minimal, maybe 4 or 5 English narratives over a loud speaker throughout, but it gave good information about what we were passing.
The crew was very friendly and when it got rainy/cold they handed out nice fleece blankets for everyone.
If your doing a quick visit to Oslo I'd recommend this as a nice way to see the fjord and learn a little history about Oslo. Also a lot of great photo ops of cute Norwegian architecture and sailboats. read more
