I found Authentic Scandinavia and they made every step of the process incredibly easy, from deciding where to travel to covering off on every detail during our trip. I booked the Scandinavian Capitals tour to Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen with my mom. We are not seasoned travelers and Authentic Scandinavia handled everything to make our trip go smoothly. They were exceptionally responsive to all of my questions prior to the trip and the directions they provided ensured that we knew where we were going throughout our time in Scandinavia. We had one change with the cruise from Oslo to Copenhagen and Authentic Scandinavia made sure that it was handled and we were compensated accordingly before we even knew there was a problem. They had the hotel in Oslo print their email update and bring it to our room to ensure we received the message. I wasn't checking email during our trip so this was much appreciated. We booked Hotel Category 1 and the hotels in Stockholm and Oslo were excellent. The hotel in Copenhagen wasn't on the same level but we didn't have any major issues and the locations for all were perfect, which made it easy to see everything we wanted to in each city. I would recommend booking an extra day (or 2!) in Stockholm, as there is so much to see there and it is a beautiful place to spend a little more time. We were able to cover everything we wanted to see during the two days each we spent in Oslo and Copenhagen. I would 100% use Authentic Scandinavia for another trip and recommend them to anyone looking to plan a trip to this beautiful part of the world. She paced the tour superbly, communicated clearly and engaged with the group. Her knowledge of Oslo was first class. This was a memorable morning which left us knowing Oslo better without being overwhelmed. Viking Biking's itinerary couldn't have been better and they gave us enough time in the fabulous Vigeland Park to really enjoy the beauty and magnitude of the artists accomplishments. Oslo is very bikeable and there are only a few short not steep hills in the ride. To top off a great morning, she recommended a wonderful hole in the wall quick and casual seafood place on the way to our afternoon tour of the Oslo Opera House (also not to be missed!). Forget about bus or walking tours, if you know how to ride a bike, this is how to introduce yourself to Oslo!

Well glad you asked, apparently in the past, this place was indeed two islands, but the part between the two islands was stuffed/filled with trash :D and now they added a grass area on top of it. Anyways, back to the island review: Langøyene is the furthest island away from Oslo. Around 20 mins boat ride from Akker Brygge (across from the Nobel Peace Prize museum). Not really a sandy beach, but you can chill on the grass and jump in the water if you dare :)

The boat is moored very close to the fishing spot so you can start fishing straight away and the fjord is very calm and sheltered so great for anyone without their sea legs.
