Today was our fourth day touring Oslo. We got up first thing this am and did our Viking Biking tour with Ellinor. She was amazing! Very knowledgeable and friendly. She guided us through the city on a great tour. The tour lasted for about two hours and we saw so much of the city! The ride wasn't too hard physically, and it went at a great pace. It was nice to see the sites and stop at many if the landmarks and have some time to walk around and take pictures. I highly recommend doing their tour!

I was really fortunate that my sister had a family friend connection to this bike shop because these guys are awesome. They are knowledgable about the city and are happy to tailor a tour to your interests. Guided tours leave around 1:00 pm, but you can also rent a bike if you can't make the tour or if you want to go solo. I was in Oslo for a business trip and only had a couple hours in the morning before my flight, so the guys pointed me in the direction of the ankerhus festning (fortress) and the Oslo fjord, which was a couple blocks from their shop. It was a nice ride in itself with views of the fjord, a trip to the top of the castle, and the astrup fearnley museum. And yes, you can get a lime green bike helmet with Viking horns.

Amazing great customer service everyone is supper nice and helpful. Also perfect location to start your own tour along the coast line. Thankyou for the experience. Just a note I'm a novice biker the bikes easy to ride all new great gears and they have 2 styles hard core or street. Road 9 miles no problem. Not even hurting

As mentioned in previous reviews, I love bike tours. And compared to previous experiences I'm afraid to say Viking Biking was pretty poor. When we arrived there were already others putting helmets on and adjusting bikes and we checked in with a friendly receptionist who pointed out the Viking horned helmets. It had to be done. So far so good. We got our bikes, adjusted the saddles and got ready to go. I was a bit worried as there were a lot of people there but reassured when they said there were two guides. However, from then on there was a lot of confusion about who was going with whom. Instead of just counting the numbers of people and splitting us into two groups, there were protracted negotiations which resulted in us doing the first section of the tour twice. We were lucky though, as in the short cycle to the start I realised that my BREAKS were hardly working at all - I had to push them all the way in to get any kind of response. It was scary. My boyfriend (cycle expert) and I headed back to the shop to swap for a new bike. However to our horror we struggled to find any bikes with well-functioning breaks. I don't know if all the working bikes were out on loan, but none of the available ones were well-serviced. The tour itself was fun and the guide was fantastic, really friendly and charismatic. She was obviously passionate about the area and without her I would have given the tour one star. We did later reflect it was strange we didn't visit the opera house or the Parliament on the tour (particularly as we were within 30 seconds' cycle of parliament at the theatre) but there was plenty to see, and I quite liked the approach which let us wonder round on our own at times. Overall though, I'm afraid can't in all conscience recommend this tour without more confidence in the bikes.

Seeing some great architecture while cycling in downtown Oslo!

Great way to explore Oslo. They take you to parts you probably not be able to get to easily by car or foot.

I've wanted to visit Stockholm and Norway for several years but I didn't know where to begin…read morebooking a trip to Scandinavia, or whether it even made sense to visit Sweden and Norway in one trip. I found Authentic Scandinavia and they made every step of the process incredibly easy, from deciding where to travel to covering off on every detail during our trip. I booked the Scandinavian Capitals tour to Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen with my mom. We are not seasoned travelers and Authentic Scandinavia handled everything to make our trip go smoothly. They were exceptionally responsive to all of my questions prior to the trip and the directions they provided ensured that we knew where we were going throughout our time in Scandinavia. We had one change with the cruise from Oslo to Copenhagen and Authentic Scandinavia made sure that it was handled and we were compensated accordingly before we even knew there was a problem. They had the hotel in Oslo print their email update and bring it to our room to ensure we received the message. I wasn't checking email during our trip so this was much appreciated. We booked Hotel Category 1 and the hotels in Stockholm and Oslo were excellent. The hotel in Copenhagen wasn't on the same level but we didn't have any major issues and the locations for all were perfect, which made it easy to see everything we wanted to in each city. I would recommend booking an extra day (or 2!) in Stockholm, as there is so much to see there and it is a beautiful place to spend a little more time. We were able to cover everything we wanted to see during the two days each we spent in Oslo and Copenhagen. I would 100% use Authentic Scandinavia for another trip and recommend them to anyone looking to plan a trip to this beautiful part of the world. I'm already thinking about my next excursion with them!
