    Super sleek building

We stayed here just two nights on a weekend trip, but we absolutely loved it! You can get to the property right from the airport, via the airport link route to the Sentrum train station which connects right to the hotel via a walkway from the train station to the property. It is right in the center of a bustling area of town, and there was even a fun little fair going on right outside when we stayed. The staff was very nice and answered several of our questions, including restaurant recommendations, assistance with baggage, and directions we needed to a movie theater. The bar/restaurant in the lobby downstairs was wonderful, too. We arrived later in the evening and hadn't grabbed dinner yet, so we needed a bite to eat. We had the fish and chips, which were tasty, and it was pretty inexpensive compared to how spendy Oslo can be! The property itself is very well appointed and clean with modern sleek hallways and some very high views if you go to the lounge at the top. The room we stayed in was very comfortable with a large bed, small seating area by the window with a comfy sitting chair, and also a small table with a bench seating area. All things considered, I'd definitely recommend this hotel as a property that's a moderately priced accommodation in Oslo, with a high-end feel!

    Trust me on this.

The Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel in Oslo is a standout with its incredible breakfast buffet, ranking among the best in Scandinavia. The lavish spread offers a diverse selection of high-quality dishes, from local specialties to international favorites. The attention to detail and exceptional service create a breakfast experience that sets the hotel apart. For travelers seeking a comfort-centric delight to start their day, they are the perfect option. You won't believe this, but we once made a trip to Oslo *just* to have the breakfast here. It is that good.

The location was perfect! Very convenient to the train station, we just walked across the bridge and you are literally right there at the front door! Our check in was painless and Linda took great care of us! She speaks perfect English! The room was a fairly good size and I was on the 30th floor, the view was amazing, especially at night! Our rate included breakfast and it was fantastic, had lots of choices and you can get your eggs ordered to your liking! I would absolutely come back to Oslo and stayed at this beautiful hotel!

'Ello chaps! Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel is a 30+ story hotel in the heart of downtown Oslo, just steps from the front door of the Central Oslo Train Station. The hotel is just a short walk to the Oslo Opera House, the famed Karl Johans Gate boulevard (lots of shops, restaurants), there's a mall across the street and many bus and rail stops near by. The hotel does offer a large breakfast buffet for an added fee, and it is well worth it. The diverse food offerings remain the same day to day --- eggs, sausage, vegtables, cheeses, meats and fish, waffles etc. A good variety for anyone. The breakfast options saves you a lot of time, money, and stress from not having to worry daily what to eat to get your day started. TIP: For the love of future American visitors, PLEASE get SYRUP for the waffles. All the hotel offered was honey. The rooms are clean, modern, comfortable and give splendid views. It is by far my favorite hotel in all of Norway for so many reasons. The convenience, location, and comfort. Overall I give Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel 4 Stars out of 5 (If only they had syrup for the waffles... they were also kind of sad and soggy. Not the nice thing crispy kind of waffles).

Clean and comfortable rooms. The hotel is located right near Oslo Station, making it very easy to get to. There is always a steady stream of taxis outside, but given its central location you'll be able to explore Oslo on foot from the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel. The lobby is nice and spacious and there's plenty of quiet seating space to the side. The breakfast service finishes a bit early as they tend to in most hotels, but the spread is quite fantastic. Even including a special corner for people with special dietary needs. The spread includes all of your standard European breakfast items like various types of pastries, jams and bread, eggs, sausages, bacon, and an array of cereals. They are well prepared to handle the volume of people in their dining area with the option to expand out when it gets extra crowded.

The customer service here is wonderful and the location is perfect!!! Right next door to Central Station and the trams and buses. We took the Flytoget train from the airport to central station and when we emerged from the station the Radisson Blu was right there! Rooms were clean and ample in size as compared with other European places I've stayed at. The concierge, Hilje Stormo, is the best I've encountered in all my travels. From the first question we asked ( Map directions) until our departure he was super friendly and helpful. I believe he was the highlight of our 3 night stay. He truly saved us hours of heartache. Thank you Hilje!!!!! The breakfast buffet is a great deal and worth the extra money as everything in Oslo is very expensive. You can also order "off" the buffet line and get French toast, made to order eggs, etc... There is a bar on the 34th floor where you can get great views of Oslo but there really isn't that much seating up there. And remember you are in Oslo. DRINKS ARE EXPENSIVE !!! I would definitely be a repeat customer here if I ever come back to Oslo. And I hope I do because it's a beautiful city.

Great hotel! Location is perfect 2 minute walk from central station. In the city centre. Hotel is modern and very clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We were on the 26th floor great views. Amenities are fantastic, gym, pool and spa are on top floors with amazing views of the city. Breakfast is amazing and savior, Oslo is a very expensive city so filling up before heading out was awesome. Full breakfast buffet, great selection. Highly recommend this hotel.

Located conveniently next to the main train station this is a good hotel option for Oslo that is reasonably priced. Right behind the hotel is the area called Grønland which is an ethnic neighbourhood with lots of shops and cheap restaurants. Indian, Middle Easter, Turkish and other such cuisines are on offer and probably the cheapest meal you will get in Oslo. The rooms are good and relatively clean and functional. Breakfast is also quite ok and was included with my room. Staff are friendly and there is plenty of taxis right outside the door if you want to use them. All in all a good experience for four nights and I would happily come here again.

Very convenient to Oslo Central Station and several great restaurants / bars, and the front desk / concierge staff are friendly, but unfortunately the advantages pretty much end there. Air conditioning is non-existent (and Norway is warmer these days). No bathrobes. Bathtub + shower has the style normally seen in France where a moveable glass panel covers half of the bathtub but doesn't prevent water from getting everywhere. Getting in and out of said tub feels dangerous given the height of the bathtub rim and general watery condition. Elevators seem to have recently been upgraded to a system where you put in your room at a panel and then are assigned an elevator, but it doesn't prevent uncomfortable and frustrating guest scrums in the narrow elevator lobby at peak times. Lobby bar staff ignores you until you physically go up to the bar to order. The gym is hard to find: go up to floor 34, then go through four different doors, climb four floors using multiple stairs (one of which is a spiral which seems dangerous, especially on the way down after a hard workout).

Beautiful views from the room out over the city.

This is a fantastic hotel with a fantastic location. The sky bar has great drinks and beautiful views. Their restaurant served fantastic food alongside fantastic service. The concierge was also exceptional. He gave my husband practical advice about walking to a business meeting and he gave me great help when I needed to visit the emergency room. The views are amazing!!!' It's just seps from the train station. Also, this has not a "good" breakfast. It has an amazing breakfast! I feel like they need to improve their cleanliness. The floors on the 29th floor were never vacuumed and it shows. Our room too was never vacuumed. The headboard has unknown body oils or ? on it. Our room caddy for coffee was not restocked. Friday through when we left. The first part Of the week it was. The mini bar was never restocked. The windows all need an outside the building cleaning. They had difficulty with cooling rooms. It was hot. They did offer a fan. The elevator doors were filthy on the insides. They stayed that way through the weekend. I don't know if they cleaned it up for business travelers, but on Monday when we left they were finally clean. I hate being in unclean places.

A little history: The Grand Hotel was opened in 1874 by Julius Fritzner. It has a rich history, hosting international guests, celebrities, and even Nobel Peace Prize winners. Location: Grand Hotel is located in the city center of Oslo, Norway. You are literally within walking distance of many great attractions, restaurants, and shopping just outside its front entrance! Walk over or take a short ride to visit major attractions like the Royal Palace, Parliament, and Aker Brygge. It was a bit chilly when we visited in late May, however, with the brisk walking and a warm jacket we kept ourselves warm and comfortable. Accommodations: The hotel interior is stunning and exquisite in its design and decor. The rooms are suite sized and luxurious for your stay. Restaurants we dined in: During our stay, we were fortunate to experience dinner at the iconic Palmen restaurant. Entering the restaurant, your eyes are drawn to the most beautiful chandelier (see picture). The luxurious decor and expansive dining room sets the ambience for the culinary experience we were about to enjoy. The Palmen Restaurant is a renowned restaurant. The restaurant's innovative and dedicated Chefs have created an exquisite continental menu with a Nordic twist. We all enjoyed our dinner here. The service was 5 stars throughout our dinner service for 40! Attentive to everyone's needs and wants. The second location is the Grand Café: A historic cafe serving a rich breakfast buffet in beautiful surroundings. A little history: In 1874 Grand Café opened its doors. Back then, Oslo was called Kristiania. This is where it all started. Location: The Grand Café is located on the ground floor of the hotel. The new Grand Café is open and welcoming to it's guests. The kitchen is open with access to the chefs who prepare food with ingredients mainly from the Nordic countries, and with inspiration from other parts of the world. The decorative ceilings of Lars Backer have been unveiled and recreated, the original Thonet chairs have been renovated and the three famous Krohg paintings have been preserved. (Information is from its website). The fresh local fruits, Nordic cuisine, fresh local breads and so much more is a Foodie breakfast experience that I highly recommend when visiting Oslo. Do not miss your once in a lifetime opportunity to taste a 5 star culinary experience of local and international cuisine! The best way to see the food offerings is via the pictures posted for the restaurant! There is so much more that The Grand Hotel has to offer you! Check out its website for more details. Stay here if you can during your visit to Oslo, Norway. The Grand Hotel Oslo is a 5-star establishment I could not include all the food pictures in this review! The Hotel Folketeateret is located only a few minutes from the Central Station, where most people arrive when they come from the airport. Plus, the receptionists here are always very friendly and on top of that super-efficient; I've never waited longer than a minute to check in or check out. The hotel rooms that I've stayed in are not luxurious, but they are comfortable and they offer all the conveniences that a business traveller might look for: master switches for the light by the bed, plenty of sockets by the bed, free and fast wifi etc. As I mentioned before, the breakfast for me is the highlight here and I really urge you to get up early and take full advantage of it. The buffet is so big with so many yummy choices that I usually end up not needing to eat until the evening...seriously, I stuff myself with hearty rye bread, eggs, sausages, smoothies and other goodies. Another nice amenity here at the hotel is that in addition to the free breakfast, they also have free coffee in the lobby and they also offer a free light dinner...now this is what I call convenient!

Our room was spacious enough and comfortable to hang out. - I prepaid for the room at ~$225 a night, which I considered a great value considering that Oslo/Norway is expensive and what the service and amenities we received during our stay.
