Best breakfast, best green juice ever, friendly people, lots and lots of fruits... The best of all is that if you want to eat healthy you can or if you want to be unhealthy you also can.... How amazing is that? Highly recommend and will exceed your expectations !

We enjoyed our meal of pear salad, octopus grilled and steak. All prepared well. My only disappointment was we felt the plates came so fast...timing. Really surprised by the texture of the mushroom but could've used more of the greens and accent sauce Aguachile (4.5/5): delicious with varied textures - only complaint was that the avocados were a little brown and overripe Tomato salad (3.5/5): not too creative nor memorable but still yummy Octopus taco (4/.5/5): the octopus was perfectly crispy and flavors were well-balanced with the lime and pickled onions. Only knock is the tortilla was a little too oily for my liking Beef tenderloin (5/5) vs Tuna steak (4.5/5) - MVPs: Both of these main proteins were delicious and made even more so by the jalapeno gremolata. Usually I prefer fish but the beef was really perfectly cooked and more filling so slight nod to the beef Avo ice cream (4/5): Not to say it was bad but this dessert definitely looks prettier than it tastes. Although the avocado taste didn't come out in the ice cream, the crumble was a great addition to both texture and flavor. Not pictured (5/5): perfectly paired drinks :) Definitely a pricier meal than other local options but for a celebratory dinner, the value is 100% there! Service (5+/5): Staff was absolutely on their game and truly catered to everything we needed We'll absolutely be back Salud, Loma42!

It was a treat to get to eat at Karen's. The food was excellent. The food at our resort (Iberostar)…read morewas subpar all week. I ordered the chicken verde enchiladas. The chicken inside my enchilada wasn't dry and overcooked. At first I was disappointed when I saw that it was in a red sauce inside the enchiladas. I had asked for green enchiladas so I expected the green sauce to be on the inside as well. I don't care for the red sauce so I never order red enchiladas. But...when I took a bite I immediately shut my mouth and just enjoyed the flavors that were dancing on my tongue. There were no complaints here. My strawberry margaritas were delish and refreshing as well. Our waitress was very nice but she was spread too thin trying to cover all the tables that were outside. It took her quite a bit of time to bring condiments and other items we asked for so we could eat. I asked one of the guys a couple of times who walked by opening umbrellas and collecting drinks. He was a really nice young guy who seemed to be in the right spot at the right time. Get ready to be bombarded by cute children trying to sell you trinkets and as cute as they are don't be fooled. They drive a hard bargain and will barter you into the sand. Oh! And, don't be surprised if a random dog walks past your table. The outside tables are on the sand and there are ropes that set up a boarder so dogs and anything else can just wander on in. Luckily the dog was laid back and not interested in socializing or oddly enough, food. He left as quickly as he came. If you are in Bucerías, Mexico or passing through to get to Puerto Vallarta or Playa Mita, or Punta Mita definitely go to Karen's. Even if you're not passing through make it a place to venture out and eat. We purposely caught an Uber to go eat there and do a little shopping. Oh and Uber's are cheaper in Mexico than the taxi. The taxi charges double. Enjoy!!

Until this large, balding, with grey hair waiter ruined it for me: I got yelled at by big baldy for sitting at a table while wearing wet clothes. Mea Culpa, I know. But: 1) this is a resort with a pool, facing the beach. Expect your guests to be wet. Maybe use a seat cushion that is waterproof? 2) yelling at a guest? really? This guy should be working in the back, peeling shrimp and not facing paying customers! By what I have seen, there's not very many customers in this resort, and this is how you treat guests? I was motioned to sit by an area where I can eat; bless his heart he think i still want to spend money on this awful resort. Well screw that I lost my appetite and I'd rather not try their overpriced menu. Not only did I lose my appetite, I lost interest in the place and I just wanted to return back to the ship. All I am saying is not under any circumstances should you f*cking yell at a paying customer and embarass them in front of other guests! Period! There are diplomatic ways of telling customers when they are at fault, it's like this guy was raised in a barn, no common decency whatsoever. Some time later, saw baldy all chummy with white customers! So I can't help but feel discriminated! After this incident I just realized how much of a snoozefest this excursion was. They have an infinity pool and that's basically it. They have nothing else to offer. Certainly not good customer service. I will never visit this godawful racist place again. And I will also leave a scathing review in this cruise ship's excusion page.

I enjoyed the vibe, and the service was good. The crowd is 60+. Mostly expats. I was underwhelmed and honestly, disappointed by the food, unfortunately. I had very high expectations, given the recommendation. The fare is midwestern US with attempts toward flavor. Believe me I know what I'm talking about because I grew up in a food desert in the American Midwest. It's not Mediterranean. The meats are all undercooked (although they warn you) with liberal use of butter, salt, and cheese throughout. This is like an Olive Garden. I enjoyed my dinner with friends, but won't return unless it's to the cute store.
