UPDATE TO RESPONSE: Dr. Ahmadi told his receptionist to charge me $200 for a medical consult…read moredespite being an existing patient. Yet, in your response you say, "We are dedicated to meeting every patient's expectations. Our door is always open to our patients, especially those who may have concerns regarding their results. We are happy to find solutions to any potential problems." A $200 open door policy to see you as an existing patient? How is that an "open door" policy? You are brushing me off with regards to my concern of my abdominoplasty; never once offered to do a touch up on my right side love handle well after your stated time frame of "6 months to a year"; and are insinuating that "consistent coughing, heavy lifting, trauma, weight gain etc." is the result of my abdominoplasty yet you haven't seen me to even know. (And, no, I wasn't "coughing consistently, doing heavy lifting (still don't), no trauma, and 7lbs of weight gain is not enough to cause my abdominoplasty to come undone.) People, know that this can be your experience with this doctor if you have complications from your procedure. I had an abdominoplasty and lipo by Dr. Ahmadi in December of 2016. He did not offer me a whole lot of information but his Office Manager, Neda, was the one who sold me on booking with him. She was so friendly, engaging, and highly informative. **My husband and I followed the healing instructions exactly as instructed.** Three months Post-Op, I noticed unevenness on one side of my love handle and upper arm from the liposuction, and the pubic fat pad was not liposuctioned as stated in my consent forms. Dr. Ahmadi said that "it was still swollen" and to "give it time". The front desk girl asked me to write a review but it was too soon. Six months at my follow-up, the front staff was asking me again to write a review for Dr. Ahmadi, but I was not ready yet especially with all his "wait for the swelling to do down" answers. So I waited but, three and a half years later, all those areas are still uneven and never thinned out. I brought it up to his attention a year after the surgery (by this time, the swelling should have gone down) and he told me that, "if he can't correct it, no one can". Dr. Ahmadi could have done a touch up to correct the issues but he chose to blow me off. Again, his staff asked me to write a review. I started exercising after given the okay to do so, but had some sharp pains in my abdomen when doing yoga stretching. I asked the doctor about it and was told that it is the skin stretching and to "go slow". Three and a half years later the pain still exists. I went to another doctor for a consultation about a different procedure and he noticed my abdomen sticking out and asked me if my abdominoplasty came undone. I told him about my sharp pain when I stretch my abdomen or lay on my stomach. He said the stitches came undone on my upper abdomen which is the reason for the pain - it is the muscle and not the skin. I called Dr. Ahmadi's office and was told "since it has been over a year and is a medical surgery" I would have to pay a $200 consultation fee. No doctor charges existing patients this fee unless they are trying to blow the patient off. I had my co-worker call the office and ask for a consultation for the same procedure while I listened. The receptionist said her consultation with be $50 for a new patient in-office. I then called the office back and asked why her consultation was $50 while mine, an existing patient, was $200. She said it is the charge for a facetime consultation while mine was in-office. That was not what she said to me the first time, but I knew she was just saying what Dr. Ahmadi told her to tell me to blow me off. Another friend of mine also booked with this doctor not long after my surgery and has since had complications from her abdominoplasty but I will let her write her own review. She also needs a revision abdominoplasty just as I do. I work in this industry and see the ins and outs. I suggest waiting longer than 6 months to write your review to ensure you are healing properly. Surgeons can do touch ups to correct areas they might have missed if they genuinely care about their customers. I was angry at first but what can I do now? The damage has been done but I hope to at least inform others to be careful when choosing their surgeon. I posted this on Google but, interestingly, it is not showing up unless it's a 5 star review.

I first went to Dr. Carr in 2013 on a recommendation for my adult acne. I never had an issue with…read moreacne until after I returned from studying abroad in China about 7 years ago. Since then, I get these random breakouts once a year or two and they're relentless when they come and they can get pretty bad. I don't like relying on medication since my acne is largely hormonal (so my diet and habits don't do much to them), but sometimes you just have to fight fire with fire - especially when I don't want permanent scarring the longer you try to wait it out. Plus, because I never had issues with acne before, I initially thought it was just a phase and when I realised it wasn't, I had no idea what to do. I won't speak much about my visits in 2013, but I can say that Dr. Carr was very professional and she took the time to talk to you during your visit. The receptionist was a little less friendly and more to-the-point. I went to her once a month for 3 to 4 months until my acne had largely disappeared and my visits included a chemical peel as well as acne extractions. On my last visit, the office was still as busy as ever. My appointment was at 10:30 AM and it seemed like they added more staff to the front desk, but I wasn't greeted and wasn't spoken to until much later. Because of the time between this visit and the last, I needed to fill out the forms again and I didn't get the forms until an hour later, roughly 15 minutes before I was let in. Yes, I waited for over an hour past my appointment until I got to see Dr. Carr. I make appointments for a reason. Needless to say, I made it to work a lot later than anticipated. That aside, once I was lead into a room, things went smoothly. I was asked some preliminary questions, given a wet wipe for my face (I had gone with no make up on but did put on sunblock), and then waited a few more minutes for the Doctor. When she came in, we talked about my condition and she asked her questions. What I like about Dr. Carr is that she doesn't make you feel rushed (probably the reason why the appointment times are all backed up) and she tries to get to know you. Plus, the treatments work so far, which is why I returned (it takes me around 30 minutes without traffic to get to her office from where I live). Having had moved since 2013, I went to another dermatologist closer to where I live now with my last breakout but had issues and the results weren't as fast. Plus, the visits with Dr. Carr come with a chemical peel. Do note that she isn't affiliated with any insurance and the cost increased by roughly $20 since my visits in 2013. Main Points: - Front desk service: could be better - Service inside: great, the doctor tries to get to know you and what you want treated, the doctor's experienced - Place/Location: situated on Highway 6 in Sugar Land (not quite a convenient location for me anymore, but it is on a major roadway) and easy to find. The office itself isn't the biggest (your typical doctor's office) but it's good and clean. - Cons: ridiculous wait time (appointment time is just a guideline; I can see a 15 minute wait past the appointed time, but over an hour??) My review is ultimately a 3.5, but I bumped it up to a 4 because of my experience with Dr. Carr and the results I saw based on my 2013 visits. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the visit for this round of acne will have equally fast results, but this time, she's changing my treatment at my request (I want to stay away from things that will affect my hormones), so we'll see how it works.
