My partner and I were too lazy to drive to SLO and decided to look up a tri tip sandwich closer to our stay. We were glad we stopped by--the Tri Tip sandwich was so so good! Meat was great quality, not chewy or tough but succulent and moist. It was arguably one of the best foods we had on our trip. Next time if we're in the area and are up for cooking, we'll try one of their cuts of meat.

Their fruits and veggies are not only super fresh, and easy to find and grab, but also cheap compared to Vons. My favorite however is the amazing PanDulce they have. Not the biggest selection, but definitely fresh and great tasting!! Also, they have masa and fresh Mexican food items you wouldn't really find elsewhere like the pre-med masa base for the sopes, which are cheap and delish! Also they have some really great store-made salsas. They also have a lb of chorizo for less than $2 in their refrigerated section. I haven't t tried their meat department yet, but I will definitely have to come back to try them. So if you want quality, good prices and a small authentic Mexican grocery store, come here. Or don't come and let me enjoy the fact that it's always empty :) But I'm sure the owners would appreciate more customers lol. Anyway, you'll be surprised at this great little store.

They have a butcher shop here and a mini-mart of various offerings but I ordered the homemade style food and was pleasantly surprised how good it was. I had to try the Gordita. My mom makes them with flour but they make them from scratch too, only with corn. Delicious! I put the Chile Rojo beef in mine. Oh my. So good. I tried their tacos too. Asada and Al Pastor. Legit. I also go here to pick my carnitas by the pound, which tastes much better than some that are being served by other local restaurants. Please do not come expecting everyone speaks perfect English... try to speak a little Spanish if you can! I find the staff to be courteous, friendly, and respectful.
