_recently I attended a Xmas party at the holiday inn filton Bristol and as barriers were up on…read morearrival and exit I never obtained a ticket for parking.Then I received a parking charge.I was not made aware by any staff or signs saying to inform reception of my registration number.After speaking to the organiser of the party was told that I should of gave reg number to reception I spoke to reception on the phone and was told that it is nothing to do with them and that they couldn't help me.but after reading posts on the web people said to speak to them and they can contact the company who issued notice and confirm details,staff I spoke to were not helpful at all.

Wow! Where do I even start?…read more After a stressful time in the bus and getting wrong directions from the hire car GPS being out of date, arriving at this place made everything worthwhile. Firstly the place is incredibly classy and stylish, both inside and out. The place resembles a mansion. Then the room. Much larger than any I'd stayed in the UK up to that point and with fantastic central heating, couch and bay window. Then there are the many lovely lounge areas all through the facility as well as bar open long hours with Alfie providing first class help and service. Other staff worth highlighting are Alicia with her excellent attentive breakfast help. Lily and Shae at the front desk were both very helpful. In spite of a small issue, Shae went above and beyond to fix the issue even though it was late. This place is amazing value and I would recommend it highly to anyone visiting Bristol. Although it's a little out of the way, the extra effort in terms of car rental or Uber costs are more than worth it

I had no luck with the free wifi at all but my colleagues said it worked fine in other areas of the hotel so it must have been my room location having a weak signal. Breakfast was pretty good with plenty of hot and cold food to chose from. In comparison to prices at other hotels in the area (including budget ones) this hotel overall offers a good deal.

My dad had a medical emergency while here, so we switched him into our room that had air conditioning and a working phone. Hotel staff at front desk though, is energetic and amazing. The staff were quite helpful. Another thing noted is the beds aren't very comfortable. Theroom furnishings need to be refurbished.

Well after I douched it in vinegar, then sloshed it with brown sauce (try it, it's actually good) and washed every bite with a large gulp of Stella, it was bearable. Also I was really hungry. The next meal I ate was breakfast the next day in their restaurant called Chandlers. Open Hilton buffet, I expected the standard stuff. But wait, again I'm the idiot, its England. After spending about 20 minutes explaining to my Polish chef the meaning of 'egg whites only', and the waitress that instant coffee is not the international norm of hospitability, what did I get for breakfast? A crumbly 'omelet' and a cup of instant coffee. My third meal however wasn't all that bad. Stewed venison and mashed potatoes. Tasted well and looked fine when served. All in all, it's a regular Hilton in England. Don't expect the world, and you'll be just about satisfied.

The cleanliness was very poor, the windows were broken, chipped tiles, no pictures, general maintenance outside the room was shocking and the staff didn't provide much service either (forgetting an important alarm call). I've used Travelodge quite a few times over the years but a visit here has put an end to that. I vowed never to use the company again and I haven't!
