It's hard to add much to Bill M's review below, but I will say I agree with him & know his reviews to be reliable as we cross paths in local breweries. However, I LOVE a strong flavored brew so of my flight I preferred the spicey HOT BLONDE and the richly flavored Coconut stout. I have watched Palatka evolve over the decades as I pass thru to Gainesville and Azalea City Brewing is the BEST THING in town! Great venue, great staff, great food trucks & great music. My Saturday stay was even better as they are a Harvest Host & I could book a stay in their parking lot and sample more beer this time, trivia & dancin'! Also checked out the fantastic Sunday food truck Bacon & Bubbles. My best reason to visit Palatka!

The "light ones". Coffee Blonde, Strong Blonde, Hot Blonde, and Passionfruit Cream Ale. All are good, Coffee Blonde is great

Given different circumstances I'd have been here at or very near their opening. I met the brewer while he was working at a brewery in St. Augustine and had been wanting to see what he'd do on his own. I'm pleased to see that he's doing very, very well. Indoors is spacious, inviting, and staffed with helpful, knowledgeable folks. Seating is plentiful, well spaced, and comfortable (cushioned chairs with backs thank you very much). Some breweries feel like they're running on the cheap...not here. The board is extensive with lots of variety (I'll give my takes a little later). They also have a section of white boards dedicated to events, music, food trucks, etc. That's excellent. Inform the consumer and they will engage. The outdoor area is very open (albeit to the elements). You'll find picnic table seating and corn hole there. Again, the seating looks comfortable and is well spaced. The place is very dog friendly, which is a huge plus to me. Beer is about taste, so your assessment might differ, but here's my take. I had twelve beers on three flights. They came in as follows: Passionfruit Orange Cream Ale - very light, slightly sweet and fruity. Great for someone who likes a light or sour beer Coffee Blonde - loads of coffee right up front, smooth finish. This beer won awards lately and it's pretty clear why, it is excellent Strong Blonde - sweeter than I expected. A good blonde but be careful of the 8.3% ABV. I wouldn't order it again, but if someone bought me one, I wouldn't dump it Hot Blonde - it's too hot for me. I'm not a hot beer guy, so I'll leave it at that... Palatka Haze - this is a light hazy IPA. Not as much juiciness or bitterness as many I've had, but a very easy drinker. I can sense a good burp from this beer. I liked this beer a lot The SMaSH is smooth and flavorful. I taste more malt than hop. That's not bad, it's a good balance. Azalea City 385 IPA - pleasantly surprised. This is a Pale Ale in my opinion. It's fruity, but not in a hoppy, bitter way. It's an IPA that you can drink in warmer weather, poolside. Have your friends that "don't drink IPAs" try this one. Ravine Red Ale - not for me. It's weak, lacking that maltiness that I expect in a good red. Like the Strong Blonde, I'm not ordering another, but if someone buys me one, I'll drink it Black IPA - a deep, rich IPA, it's not one I'd order, but if a dark IPA is your thing, have a taste before you grab a pint. You might like it. Doppelbock - a solid, clean, malty, slightly sweet beer. This would be a great beer with a chocolate sundae, or just on a Sunday with chocolate. Oatmeal Stout - I've had a few really good Oatmeal Stouts (looking at you Bog Brewery). This one might be better in the next batch...I'd give it another try, but this batch isn't me Imperial Stout - when I think imperial, I think noticeably high ABV. That's not the case here. It's a light Stout, sweet on the tongue, with a hint of alcohol. It's drinkable, but honestly, a little light on the character I expect from an imperial. In the end, I'll stick to the light and IPA beers here. No slight intended, each brewer has strengths and I think right now Eli is hitting on all cylinders with his IPAs and lighter beers. He's clearly talented. I'll be back to experience the progression. Cheers!

John and I frequent breweries, everywhere we go~ so our day trip had a couple brewery stops on it, naturally. Funny thing is- I don't drink/like beer. Gasps! What?!?! I know, I know- we have close to 80 pint glasses at home collected from breweries across the country! And we picked up one here too!!! Andrea is the owner and was there the day we went in. She introduced herself and made sure to take good care of us. I love a craft brewery with working owners! John and I were both sporting shirts for breweries- he had on a Wicked Barley shirt and I had on Escape Brewing and Andrea noticed. I ended up grabbing a tank top from her collection too. Fun attire! All this talk of merchandise- and guess what??? I did drink an Original Sin, Black Widow Cider! They got me~ with a little sample, I enjoyed it so much I ordered a pint. John went with a flight and enjoyed the brown best. He also helped me with my drink and kept saying it had the complexities of wine- which it did. It was more full bodied than most ciders. Packed with blackberry flavor. I thoroughly enjoyed the space too- Andrea converted a Coca-Cola factory into her brewery and the artistry she incorporated throughout with murals and custom metal art is stunning. Even her flight holders were great custom art! We fell in love with Palatka years ago when we discovered Ravine Gardens State Park while the Azaleas were in full bloom. I completely understand the draw for Andrea to focus her brand around the local beauty of the wild azaleas and the river running through the area. You can tell by her space that Andrea is an avid lover of nature and art. A great family friendly space- I highly recommend you stop in next time you are in the area!

Enjoyed beer, football and live music here. One of the coolest breweries we have visited in a long time. They turned an old CocaCola bottling plant into a modern microbrewery. The folks who run the place are very professional and nice people. The beer is very good. We were there on a rainy night so there were no people outside, but they have a very nice area outside, as well as nice bar and stage area inside. We plan to come back next time we are nearby. We are with Harvest Host. So we arranged to park our camper in the parking lot. It seemed secure and private. It was well lighted too.

The Azalea City Brewing Company is build within an old Coca-Cola bottling company, tucked away in downtown Palatka. Certainly a move in the right direction for the town. It has a wide variety of locally brewed beers, ciders, seltzers, wines, and non alcoholic options. IPA fans, this is your place. They offer samples and give great advice so you truly enjoy what you're sipping on. The property open and relaxing with games and plenty of space to escape the crowds. Even has a kids zone... oddly. The location does not make food on site, but if your lucky the food truck will be there to subside your munchies. So if you're ever passing through I really do suggest stopping by, sip on a cold one and just taking it all in.

Love this spot! Very welcoming and great beers! Be sure to check their schedule for live music, food trucks AND when the relaxed social bicycle ride happens! Thank you Azalea Brewing! I love the old historic vibe from the Coca-cola plant.

Azalea City showed up at a local Halloween event and we got to try a few of their beers. They were so good we were willing to make the drive just to see everything they had to offer. Glad we did. This place had an amazing seating area and the band that was playing was one of the best bar/restaurant bands I have ever seen. They have a kids seating area, giant Jenga and Giant connect four so if you want to come out and can't find a sitter the kids can do their own thing while you are free to do yours. They don't serve food but have absolutely no problem with allowing outside food in and several local establishments deliver (Flavor - House of wings was our choice). Live bands, food trucks, and special events what more can you ask for in a hang out.

Great find in the heart of Palatka! Family walked the ravine down the street for Mother's Day Weekend and stopped here with our pup after. This brewery is beautiful... Very hopeful it will help revive downtown Palatka!

Beers are killer! Wether you like IPA's, stouts, or light beer, there's something for everyone. Bathrooms are clean. Staff is cool! Music could be better (play newer music, attract a younger crowd $$$).

Citrus City Craft was selling some special cocktails outside, and I saw the berry bourbon catching my eye. I had to go with that. Since it was an event, it just came on a plastic cup, making it easy to hold. It was a great fruity drink. I forgot what kind of berry they used, but it was pretty sweet and enjoyable. The bourbon they used was indeed high quality as the booziness lasted almost an hour. Though, thankfully I was still good enough do two rides on the mechanical bull and last for a decent account of time. And what was amazing about the drink was the cost, just 8 bucks! I would have expected to pay at least 10 dollars or more for a great quality drink for a special event, but 8 dollars was quite a steal. While I didn't go inside the restaurant/bar, I just enjoyed the outdoor entertainment at the strip mall, and tried the cocktail. Because of their excellent quality of the drink at the event, I definitely need to visit inside and try their beer selection as well in the future.

So I went to this establishment for what was advertised as an Oyster festival. Needless to say…read morewhen I arrived at 6pm I was told the festival sold out at 2pm that day even though the event was advertised as being from 11-9pm. so I decided to sit at the bar and have a drink. First I was in line behind someone being help at the register on the other end of the bar. The waitress helped the gentleman and then left the register as if she was handling some other things behind the bar, never returning to take my order, even passing by me several times. Taking orders around the bar. Then A young couple walked up behind me and were helped by the gentleman behind the bar, I assumed he had been helping them before because they were discussing how much alcohol was in a particular beer and weather or not the underage young women could legal drink it based on the alcohol , Now I'm still standing there, yet no one asked to take my order or if I needed anything! Two people finish eating and left so I took one of the seats at the end of the bar beside where I was standing . I watched while the lady lady bartender finished her shift and left and another bartender took her place, upon staring her shift she went straight to help the large group of gentleman at the bar with drinks, so I told myself maybe they have been waiting just as long as I have , yet when she finished with their drinks she walked right past me sitting there with a menu in hand! The final straw was seeing the gentleman with the beard come and take orders from two groups of people standing right beside me , where I previously was and he never attempted to take my order! I won't even mention me looking up and catching a a gentleman staring at me, like literally hard staring at me!! I don't like to make assumptions however I can only assume I was not a welcome sight in this establishment due to me being a black woman!!! I love the vibe, what a great place to meet friends and hang out. The huge hall also offers food while the brewery is the center point with the bar wrapping all the way around the tabs in the center. There's a beautiful outdoor deck with a view of a lake. The only drawback for me was that I love to enjoy my tasty craft beer, and it was hard to dodge the cigarette smoke. Even though the patio is huge, it is covered so the smoke gets trapped. One smoker polluted the entire patio. It was a beautiful day, but we had to go inside. As a non-smoker I do wish the patio was smoke-free.
