We were warmly greeted at reception, where we could get wine and drinks for donation, and peruse the work of local artists in the gallery while we waited for the show to begin. The seater seats 60-70, and instead of assigned seats, its first come, first served. If you get there early, they'll give you slips of paper to write your name and place them on your preferred seat to mark it reserved. The theater chairs were fine, but the rows were spaced just a bit too tightly. The play we came to see, "Nana's Naughty Knickers", was quite enjoyable. What was quite changed was the installation of 'self-serve' everything! No longer do you need to wait on a line for drinks, popcorn, and snacks! Everything is within arm's reach. The most surprising feature was the 'sticker shock' for the popcorn containers. Buyer beware .... Very, very pricey for even a small tub. $$$$ There is a 'guide' to assist with your selections and purchases. No longer exists a counter register, but kiosks to take care of business too. As we walked to our theater to locate our seats, it was another pleasant surprise to see so many lounge seats! They were quite nice, though hubby wasn't fond of the seat. The gift shop is a good size and has all kinds of toys, clothing items, stuffed animals and a small area of books with some cute titles. Overall a good way to spend a couple of hours if you're willing to suck up the high prices. My family and I will be forever grateful for the Color Guard and ceremony ending in the presentation of the American Flag. We are typically in Daytona once a year, right around the same time, just about every year. This time was my first time ordering food, and I was pleasantly surprised with the chicken BLT wrap. It comes with beer braised chicken, avocado mayo, bacon, lettuce and tomato. It was flavorful, and felt slightly healthier since it wasn't fried. It also came with a plentiful amount of French fries. The theatre itself is very comfortable, with reclining seats, and trays that you can place in the cup holder of your chair, and make it easy to enjoy your meal or snack. Will probably be back next year, to check out whatever new release movie may be out at that point!
