Much of our planning was done through emailing our preferred song list and sorting out logistics with our DJ, Mikey O'Connor. Overall, it was mostly easy to coordinate with Andreya, though she may sometimes need reminding to respond to your emails. Though DJ Mikey didn't help us plan much before the wedding, we made sure to email him a detailed script of what we wanted him to say, and he did his job well the day of. When we changed our ceremony location from outdoor to indoor 2 days before the wedding, he was also super accommodating with the last minute change. People asked repeatedly for the mic and music to be turned up, including our wonderful videographer, George, from Apex Media. I was told on our wedding day that he couldn't get his equipment upstairs. I told him three times that my son-who's 6'1'' and 230 pounds is happy to bring it up and that I didn't want our music to be compromised. He assured me that his lighter equipment would not hinder our music. Not only did it hinder the music, it hindered those doing toasts, who even asked him if they could get the mic up. He played mostly music that he chose. Although we encouraged he and his wife to enjoy our food, his wife spent most of her time eating shrimp and failed to introduce our daughter for a song she spent hours preparing for and we, nor our guests could hear. I ran up and grabbed the mic after the song to let everyone know how she had practiced the song for weeks to sing for me as a dedication to my new husband. I submitted a review on weddingwire and they denied being our d.j. As a matter of principle, I provided a copy of our cancelled check. This man has no professionalism, and no credibility. If you want a dj for your wedding, I would choose a friend before I would hire him, save your money.
