Frustrated, I turned to Yelp again for help. I was hesitant on using the original roofing company from 3 years ago for this repair because I had some thoughts that they may not have done a good job during that first repair. Four Peaks Roofing was fast to answer in my time of need and I was able to get someone to come check out my issue same day. Jorge ended up coming out and I relayed my concerns to him. I couldn't have asked for a more knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous person than him. When he was inside my home, without anyone prompting him, he took off his shoes while walking around. My family and I have a "no shoes while inside the house" rule but I never ask any outside vendors to abide by it for their convenience and safety. He was the first outside vendor to do this (again, without anyone asking him to!) and I really needed to highlight this as this was exceptional and beyond thoughtful. After Jorge was done inside, he went back outside and got onto my roof to start inspecting. He took his time and came down with pictures to show Hubby and I when he was done. He eased my concerns and said that the sealing from 3 years ago deteriorated with time. The previous roofer did what needed to be done at the time and it's just the brutal summers that just destroys everything so quickly. Jorge encouraged me to get in contact with the previous roofer to see if I can work something out with them and continued to write up an estimate for us if we wanted to go with him. He went out of his way to look out for us and I wish there was more people like him out in the world. I did contact the previous roofer and ended going with them as they worked out something with me that I couldn't refuse. This inspector that came out also reiterated the same things Jorge went over so I was relieved that these 2 different individuals were in agreement on the same things. Even though I ended up not doing this project with Four Peaks Roofing, this exceptional experience will guarantee me coming back here for my next project.

I check obviously for plenty of good reviews. I'm looking for professionalism, timeliness, pride in workmanship, and just overall customer satisfaction. L and R past the the reviews. Plenty of people seem satisfied. The next thing is, I check their website if they have one. Most businesses do now have some kind of online presence. Theirs was very smooth and easy to navigate. I requested a quote online, and in about 24 hours got a response. The owner, Luis, came out, climbed the roof, gave me a rundown of what to expect, should I use their services, and told me they would not contact me again or try to pressure me. They certainly followed through on that. They did send a quote. Their website makes it very easy to accept the quote and has finance options. Their contract is laid out very straightforward, full disclosure. Nothing hidden. In this online business world, where people expect more online transactional capability, you just expect businesses to offer that. But many don't, particularly in the contracting world. So, anyone who is attentive to making it easy to transact online is very focused on their business, in my experience. It's just another sign of professionalism and tells me that probably they will also be attentive during the actual construction process. That's just my general experience. It does not always hold true. But in this case, it did. After the HOA approval, I decided to use them for the roof replacement. Costs were in line with about what everyone else is charging. I paid the 50% down, and got a call from Victor the foreman to schedule replacement. They were very accommodating and got busy. There was a minor hiccup, but not their fault. The supplier delivered the wrong tiles. I'm sure that caused a bit of stress for Victor, because they have plenty of jobs scheduled. Anyway, the day after the day they were supposed to do the work, the new tiles were delivered. And then the following Monday, the tiles were loaded onto the roof. The next day they were laid and completed at the same day. I'm no roofing expert, but have some common sense. I climbed the roof before they laid the tiles just to check out their work. All the flashings were very nicely placed. Everything seemed to be high-quality. The underlayment was very nicely laid. And, each day they cleaned up pretty well. When the work was completed, they cleaned up better than I had the yard cleaned up. Victor very professional. If I need any maintenance on the roof, I definitely would consider L & R again. However, I suspect the roof will out last me and my wife.

I sold my home about three weeks ago and the professional inspector and two other highly reputable roofing companies came out and looked at my roof and said that they not only did not do the job correctly, but they left loose tiles on my roof and my roof would've flooded in a heavy monsoon. The roof so far looks good but I'm waiting for the rains. This company starts off strong but once they have your business that's when the lack of communication starts. They were billing my insurance so much that I had to sit and go over everything they had itemized. One was for skylights I don't even have. And when it came to the insurance, I felt like I was doing most the work having to be the go between and try to get their checks. This roof is probably one of the most expensive roofs after it was all said and done for being just shingles. I've not heard from the sales rep in probably 3 months but get a call from their manager the other day pretty much accusing me of not completely paying, when I try to arrange pick up of the remaining balance several times. The roofing crew left nails a debris all over my yard and I'm still cleaning up. My opinion, if you use them. Document everything. I did on this one and feel like it's really going to be important I did.
