Daniel recommended modifying the existing bathtub so that my mom could step in and out more easily, while also adding sturdy support bars to help with her balance and safety. We couldn't be happier with the results! The modification has made such a difference. My mom can still step into the tub, which actually helps her maintain and practice her balance, but it is now much easier for her to get in and out. The support bars give her the extra stability she needs, and most importantly, I now have peace of mind knowing my mom is safer when she takes a shower. I needed someone to do both because I know that repairmen charge a travel fee to come to your house and I didn't want to pay this twice by hiring two separate people. Lots of people told me they could only fix one problem. Gustavo was one of the handful who told me he could fix both. For those that don't know, many people in the repair business will want to do a diagnostic check on your issues so that they can give you an accurate quote. Some businesses will charge you for this diagnostic and some won't. As someone who loves to research, I only care about businesses that don't charge a diagnostic fee. Gustavo was so confident in my issues that he told me exactly how much it would cost and that he didn't do a diagnostic check. In fact, unlike literally all other people, he would fix the problem the same day that he messaged me. His pricing was very competitive. Unfortunately, when he went to fix my lights, we both found out that I had a completely different problem. (This is why most repair men do diagnostic checks to begin with) Even though it was different problem, Gustavo was confident in fixing it; it did make my cost increase by $45 but I'm glad that he could fix my problem so well. First, he was available on a HOLIDAY! Responded promptly & professionally. Super convenient as I had the day off & another home consultation scheduled for later in the afternoon. I had a small handful of tasks needing help/attention. He was prompt to respond & offered his rates/terms up front, no hassle & extremely easy to schedule with. While I did have materials on hand, he suggested they wouldn't be as sufficient in the long term, so I genuinely appreciated he came to inspect & then went to purchase any additional materials based on the consultation. ...and from there, I let him do his art! The entirety wasn't a big ask- 3 smaller tasks of replacing a closet dowel hanger, placing patio string lights & mounting a tapestry quilt. During a thorough inspection of the electrical system, Travis discovered a much more serious issue. He found that our wiring was literally overheating because the breaker panel needed to be replaced and our electrical system was being overloaded.
