He explained that because the citrus trees had not been taken care of in the past few years, he would prune the branches to open up the tree and would periodically come back to prune further in order to not shock the tree. Since I was not sure if there would be additional charges for the additional pruning, I emailed the company to ask and was not given a definitive answer. John said that when he was in my area, he would take a look at the trees and do additional pruning which I believe would have been part of the original charge, but I could be wrong about that. A down payment was made of 10%, a date was set. The crew showed up on time and trimmed the two acacia trees with no problems. However, the citrus trees were opened up but one of the trees was left long and two others were left too wide. John was contacted and was told how the job came out. When John came out to treat the acacia trees as planned no one was home, but nothing more was done on the citrus trees. He did not contact us to explain why the citrus trees were left as they were or if he would be coming back at a later date to do additional pruning or if there would be an additional charge if he did. John led us to believe he was going to personally prune the trees which did not happen.

That said TJ's price for labor was unbeatable and I needed a dead tree cut up and three dead agaves taken out. I texted TJ and he was very nice and I asked him about his advertised price for labor an hour and he said it was correct. I sent him pictures of what I needed done and he said he could do it. TJ asked if I had a saw and I told him yes. TJ was upfront he does not have tools. I was ok with that because I had all the tools to do the job, we just needed someone to do the work. TJ showed up on time the two days he worked for us, was very polite, a heck of a hard worker, always asked questions before doing anything, cleaned up while he worked, and cleaned up at the end of the day. TJ listens very well unlike some workers, and wants to make sure everything is done right to your liking. TJ cut up a medium size dead tree, threw it all over a fence, and cut it up and put it into 18 bags and made a log pile. In our front yard he cut up and took out three large agave plants that rotted due to weevils and two dying golden barrels! TJ bagged up 8 bags of agave material and threw their heavy bases in our trashcan. I believe in paying for work done, so even though we were having him back a second day, I paid him at the end of each day. When TJ was all done each day he cleaned up and asked where we wanted our tools set. Hiring TJ was an awesome decision, and we could not be happier with all the hard work he did. If you want to hire a good, honest, hard worker call TJ because you will be very happy you did! I am also attaching photos as well of all the fantastic work TJ did, he was awesome! We plan to have TJ back for more projects in the future!

I wasn't notified about this by the local company until after 9pm. I turned to Yelp and sent out notices. Not expecting much of a response at that late hour. Andre' from green leaf responded almost immediately. Wow. We agreed to meet first thing the following morning. Against hope I waited for Andre. After all so many make appointments but don't show. Much to my surprise this nice young man came. Within the time agreed. He made time to come out and not only look at the issue but in consideration of my emergency he himself did the work. Later on he came back and cleaned up all the debris. In fact that part of my yard now looks better than the rest. I was amazed and grateful for the work done. All as agreed. Showed up when they said they would and went above and beyond. This palo verde tree in my enclosed portion of my backyard fell over and hit the wall and was causing further damage with its weight. It was a tricky extraction (in my opinion) due to the wall on one side, jacuzzi, flagstone patio, and pergola grill area nearby. He did amazing and ground down the stump. His assistant even held my tortoise in the shade and out of the way while he ground down the stump! I know they are busy with everyday tree cutting. But they prioritize emergencies.
